nwquiz Argh I am so sorry they upped the prices like that. Our last IVF was $11,500 flat for everything up to beta, then got OHSS and oh it's not part of the contract to treat you for that Seriously this whole IVF should be covered at least at 50% by insurance, I am really sorry.

Amanda - big hugs, I think the idea of sharing an egg donor is great, also some women who are going through IVF themselves are willing to donate their eggs for covering some meds. So maybe you can work something out with a current patient, who knows? I like the ide aof mixing them in and you never knowing which took, great idea. I hope that you guys can make it happen, meanwhile, i will pray for a natural miracle for you!!!!!!!!!!!

SD - congrats on succesful transfer!! 1 blast in and 2 to be frozen. how wonderful!

AFM - not such great news unfortunately. So I had 11 eggs retrieved yesterday, but only 5 fertilized. last fresh cycle ( 2 yrs ago) we had 8 fertilize out of 11 mature eggs, this time only 5 . My emrbyologist said that unfortunately our sperm morphology has gotten worse. and i guess my eggs 2 years later are no better for the wear either. So - we are transfering tomorrow - on day 2. because she wants to freeze as much as she can and probably put 2 in. we'll see what they even look like tomorrow - hopefully good enough to transfer and freeze. oy yoy yoy!
oh well - gotta work with what we've got! here is hoping that this will work.

Hope- oh no we are all happy to hear good news. as much as we are there for bad news to cry with, we still need that uplift of a BFP. Congratulations. am so happy for you. Now let that beta double or is it triple for triplets

Amanda - I am so so sorry, it is such a tough road & we already have heightened sensitivities because of all hormones, take some time to breathe and grieve and then make some decisions about what your future holds....you are too young to give up and too WONDERFUL to not be a mommy.

Lyd - My thoughts will be with you as you have your ET tomorrow, remember all it takes is one - your babies will be home with their mommy - enjoy it!

SD - You are preggers girl! Enjoy it! Love your PMA

Jkulab - Don't worry about not feeling anything, I felt nothing until 1 day before the beta and then it was just tired & I think that was only because of the progesterone it makes me super sleepy.

Nwquiz - I just found out since they cancelled my cycle I don't even get a break for all the services I already had so I get to re-pay for everything! ARRRGGGG - Sucks when they all of sudden up the prices when you have budgeted down to the penny even 10 bucks seems to throw it all off.....sorry hun just remember that when you are holding you sweet baby all this will mean nothing.

Lou - My thoughts & prayers are with you & your family as your FIL heals

Kimber - I have everything in my household crossed for you my two year old is sitting next to me crossing her fingers too (or at least trying!)

I know I am forgetting SO MANY of you but I am praying for each & everyone of you each day & hoping you all get your BFP's!

AFM - Finally talked to the RE today again and basically what happened he thinks was after my MC which was 12/28 & I bleed for close to 3 weeks that there just wasn't enough time for my lining to thicken up enough. So my new schedule is as follows....2/23 - First Monitoring Check, 2/28 - Blood Draw - 3/2 - Extra Lining Check - 3/11 - Final Lining & blood draws, 3/18 - ET. I am on Crinone & Estradiol right now until the 19th then off to have a period then back on Estradiol, on the 23rd if all goes well that gives me 18 days on estradiol ( to really fatten up my lining) as opposed to only 11 days this cycle so we are hoping that makes a difference. Which gives me another December baby! I guess I will get all the birthdays done in one swoop!

SD - I just noticed your DS is very close in age to my DD, just about a month difference she is older & if all goes well our new babies will be about a month apart yours will be older! I believe in cosmic correlations! So cool I am taking that happy little correlation with me all the way to the bank!

I think you are in San Diego I grew just north of you in Palos Verdes, we are headed "home" this summer we should get together & compare baby bumps! I am totally jumping on your PMA train I like it......

Amanda79: I am so very sorry. I understand your pessimism...I have been there, but please try not to be so hard on yourself. I know you want to have a baby--for you and for DH. And you will. Right now it doesn’t feel like it because you need some time to grieve this loss. Be angry. Be sad. Be lost. Be whatever feels right. With some time you will be able to focus better on what your next step will be and when. It is different for everyone and there isn’t a “right” answer as to when you should proceed or how. Right now focus on pampering yourself and holding tightly to that wonderful DH you have right now. He deserves you. You deserve him. (((HUGS))) We are with you and feel your sorrow.

Amanda - I am so so so so terribly sorry for your BFN. My heart breaks for you and really wish there was some way I could help. I know the IVF journey is difficult, both emotionally and financially, and after going through multiples cycles, I can imagine you may have exhausted all your savings. So sorry that it all boils down to this - money! It's just so unfair sometimes. Is there a way for you to save up for another cycle in the future? You and DH are still young. I wish you guys all the best. *HUGS*

I would hate to be insensitive to announce my news during this terrible time (and I hope nobody takes this the wrong way, esp. Amanda), but it was a BFP for us!!!!!! Beta 133. Going back in on Sunday for our second beta. We're over the moon ecstatic!

Hope- No one would think you are insensitive especially me. I am so happy for you!!!!! Take care of yourself and your little bean that is growing.
