Leora I am so happy that you get to trigger tonight :) I hope you don't mind but I will be stocking...lol I know how hard it is for you to believe right now but I think you literally don't have another choice right? at least that's what DH and I always came back to when all of the faith was gone and we felt like we just couldn't go on we would ask ourselves if it was something we could walk away from and the answer was always no so what choice do we have but to hope. I know how afraid you are of more bad stuff ....I still am. but somehow miracles do happen and this will work for you this time. Its really unfair how much bad stuff some of us have to endure sometimes. In the 3 years that we were trying I had cancer and was told that I was dying and then this awful MF infertility then IVF and M/C and my family had two terrible car accidents in which my dad was in a coma and then my grandfather broke his neck in another car accident I literally had no hope left in me and that is exactly when my miracle came....My dear it will work and I will believe for you and pray for you this time. This is it :)

Hugs

Margi I am literally counting days with you till California :D :D :D I can't wait to get you on the other side with us and I am so sure that this will work for both you and Leora

Should I be totally bummed that I got a stark white bfn on 5dp5dt? Our clinic's live birth percentage for a two embryo transfer is roughly 66%. That sounds awfully good, but I am afraid we are in the 34%. I really need to get my mind off this today.

SD: Congrats on trigger out!! Can’t wait for the daily reports. ;-)Image

Katie: LOVE the photo. OMG. How completely adorable.

Leora: YIPPPEEEE!!! I understand your nervousness and your hesitation for excitement given your history-but right now I have enough optimism for the both of us!! I am so happy and excited for you. Do the best you can to take it east and get yourself in a peaceful place. (I forget, forgive me, do you use acupuncture? I swear by it). You and DH do extra calm, loving and fabulous things together this week. This is the week you will be making your baby--and possible siblings. I feel it. And ER of 2/16? Are you aiming for that 11/11/11 baby? Pretty darn close ;-) You are gonna be an Image

Carol: Leora’s ticker indicates days to beta testing!

Sherry and Jieb: Hang in there ladies. POASing can be great when you see those two lines and get a “jump” on the good news, but you have to hold on and realize many women don’t get positive tests on HPTs until 14dpo. Some have even gotten negative HPTs the morning of beta and then still gotten a BFP!! Deep breaths. Hold onto hope. Depends a lot on the tests you use (some are a lot more sensitive than others http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hpt.html ), when your embie implanted, and how your own body metabolizes hcg. And POASing isn't "for everyone". Lou stopped doing it because it added to her stress. For me, it helps me have something to do and prepares me. But even when I am getting negatives, I hold onto hope that in the end it is a positive. I am hoping and praying for BFP’s for you both !

katieb-- Your day in the mountains looks wonderful! I love skiing at Park City. DH and I go on a ski trip every year, except of course this year. Last year was Jackson Hole, Wy and the year before we were in Banff, BC.

HopethisworksM -- Congrats! A blast transfer and some frosties to boot. Excellent chances.

Leora -- Woo hoo for trigger! I can't wait for your ER update!

Anton - I hope you get your December miracle too! Take care of yourself in the meantime. Are you doing any acupuncture? I really think it helps!

qita -- So glad to see you jumping back on the horse. Do you mean ICSI when you say cytoplasmic transfer? We used that too as we have male factor.

jkulab -- DH and I were pretty bummed when the Bears lost too. To make matters worse, they lost to the Packers! Where do you live now?

SD -- Wow... you are the POAS Queen. Soon you'll see two lines again. Can't wait.

hotgreentea and jkulab -- You both could still be too early. Don't count a BFP out yet!!! I got a negative HPT 5dpt too and barely had a line on the day of my beta. And that's with a beta of 290!!!! This info is for you, it's from fertilityfriend.com. They analyzed data from thousands of BFP's.

Results:
Average Day Past Ovulation (DPO) for the first positive pregnancy test: 13.6 DPO
Average DPO for the first "false" negative test result: 10.3 DPO
Percentage of pregnancy charts with a positive test at 10 DPO: 10%
Percentage of pregnancy charts which show negative results before a positive result: 17%
Average time between the expected period and the first positive pregnancy test: 0.5 days before the expected period.

AFM -- Having lunch with a friend and then coffee this afternoon with another friend. I'm going to be honest and tell them I'm pregnant but it's early. Both know I was planning IVF. Other than that, I'm spending the rest of my day praying that this baby is growing ok in there. Gosh, this worry is awful. So much can still go wrong and I just simply cannot rest. I'm driving myself crazy.

Leora: Quick reply to your question to Tiger. IUI's are way easier. For me, they were much less draining physically--your ovaries don't have to work as hard because you don't want/need as many follies. And, you get to BD through the process. ;-) BUT--you are NOT going to be needing next steps. You are just hours away from trigger, and ER, and then ET from your successful cycle!!!! I cannot wait to celebrate with you. This is it girl.

I found this message board a little late. We are at the end of our 1st FET. Eggs go in on Thur (2/17). Hopefully, DH gets a baby for his birthday (2/18).

Our fresh cycle was in Sept 2010. Right after we started, the Dr found a fibroid at the top of my uterus. It didn't show on the HSG or the first US. But we decided to try the cycle anyway, knowing the fibroid could cut our chances.
When the cycle didn't work, we opted to have the fibroid removed.
It was at the top, sort of on the backside. It was on the outside of the wall, but slightly protruding into the cavity.
He also removed a cyst from my right ovary.

Then we waited until I healed.

With the fresh cycle, we told everyone everything. And with this cycle, most people know we are doing a FET. But we've told them it's next month. I had a lot of added pressure last time. It is mostly my friends, that mean well, but don't understand that IVF doesn't automatically equal a baby. I feel a tad guilty. But I'm much more relaxed this time.

So it feels good to get that all out. Good luck to everyone. I really like this board and the info here.
Me - 36 DH - 47 Problems w/ us both
Sept 2010 - IVF w/ ICSI - BFN (7 blasts frozen)
Nov 2010 - Surgery to remove fibroid & cyst on right ovary
(fibroid was found late in the process. Not seen w/ HSG or 1st US)
Feb 2010 - FET - eggs go in Feb 17

Lou71- Hope your little one is thriving in there :D With regard to what our doctor is proposing I think it is this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cytoplasmic_transfer but using all my eggs, not from a donor. Confused!!

Jeib - 8dp5dt (13dpo) might still be too early. As Lou said, she barely got a line when she did her beta!

Anna - hello stalker! I'm so glad things are going so boring-ly in your pregnancy! That's such a good sign. I stalk all of you on the Summer 2011 babies board. I know what you mean about not feeling like you have a choice. I keep saying that if this one is BFN I don't want to do anymore.... but then what? How do I stop when I want to have that baby so badly? Hopefully this will be the one and I can stop trying for a little while!

Sherry - the 2ww is the worst. Seriously. I tend to osciallate violently between thinking that 'of course this worked' and 'no way in hell did this work'. You can't know until the beta.... just a few more days, honey! I hate thinking about hte stastics. At the end, you are either 100% pregnant or 100% not. The 66% doesn't matter. I really hope you are!

SD - I'm glad you are feeling so good and confident. Congrats on peeing out your trigger! Let the real BFP stand up!

Carol - my ticker is as if I had a 'normal' cycle. The day in red (ovulation for normal people) will be ER day.... and it's counting down until I can POAS with some accuracy (14dpo - ie 'day of missed period'). My clinic usually doesn't do betas until 17dpo (which annoys me, I think I'll ask for an earlier one), but by 14dpo my HPTs should be good. I'm going to try to wait until then to POAS

sunshine - I'm really right behind you! Hopefully I'll follow you all the way to November with healthy pregnancies and babies!

Margi - I had an accupunctirst I didn't really like. So I found a new one. But since I was in the middle of my cycle, she only wants to see me on the days between ER and ET - so I'll call her tomorrow to schedule. I messed up my dates in the last post - ER is Tuesday 2.15 (not the 16th, which is Wednesday).... but still pretty darn close to 11.11.11.... if our kid is anything like us, s/he will be born either 11.10 or 11.12 just to be contrary!

Lauren - I'm 7 hours ahead of the East Coast (Greenwich +2).... so it's 8pm here!

Lou - with my twins, I waited until 14 weeks (13w6d - NT) to tell anyone. I was so nervous about 'untelling'. Then we lost the babies at 22 weeks. I had to 'untell' everyone (and it was really obviously because I had been showing a lot). For my next pregnancy, I decided that I'd rather tell everyone good news as soon as we had it - and if there was bad news, oh well. I thought that I would be really open about it if I miscarried and would want everyone to know what I was going through. Once I decided I would tell people if I miscarried, I figured, why not tell people early? So I started telling people after our heartbeat u/s at 6weeks. I did miscarry - and untelling wasn't as bad as people say it will be. I hope you have only good news, but I for one understand telling people early, especially after all of this.

Connie C - welcome! We are a fun bunch of ladies, although a bit crazy as this process gets the better of us. We also told everyone every little detail for our first cycle. Now barely anyone knows. It's your choice.

qita - I never heard of cytoplasmic transfer either. Can you explain why your doctor thinks it would help?

AFM - 8:15pm here ---- I trigger 15 minutes ago! I'm so happy to put all the needles away. phew! Now I can just relax until Tuesday. I find these 36hours between trigger and ER as the easiest part. No clinic trips, no meds, no worrying. aaaaahhhhh....
