Happy123- you really do have to be your own advocate. Sorry you had to learn that the hard way. Welcome to the board. We are here for you and these ladies will no doubt advocate for you too.

SD- congrats on being PUPO!!! You are the first one on the board to get there and we are all counting on you to start our winning streak. The cramps are a good sign :-) Did your other two embies make it as well? Sorry if I missed it, lots of activity these days on this board. When do you go to Mexico? I saw a billboard yesterday for Jamaica and thought hmmmmmm.... maybe that is what I should do instead of laying around the house on my 2ww. I live in NORTHERN Michigan and we have lots of snow and subzero temps. Its very very tempting...Are there any restrictions on flying at al after your 2 days bed rest?

Crissylove- great to hear your unexpected transfer was a success!

Shay- I gave up the coffee completely about 3 months ago, and I don't know that I will ever go back. I drink decaf green tea which is great for your health. As I am sure you know, you will go through awful withdrawals for about a week when you quit it but you do get used to it. I also drink fresh squeezed all natural fruit juice in the morning in addition to two full glasses of water. Both work together to get me going. Good luck! On the heartbeat over 140... as I prepare to go to a zumba class followed by boot camp I have to ask... do they mean just during your cycle month? I really want to go one more time prior to getting going. I live for getting my heart rate over 140. :-) I have heard so much conflicting stuff about exercise which is why I am living it up now but going to chill starting next week. My Doc said just to cut back to the equivalent of running 12 miles a week (I am normally a runner but decided to go lower impact this cycle).

Could I join? This will be my first go round with IVF, and am very anxious/nervous. I love my clinic, just wish I understood more of what was happening. They explained it, just still desire more info...however, we did get accepted into thier "warranty" program. Not a guarnt. of pregnancy, but if not successful the first time, we get most of our money back. No insurance. I start BCP's end of Feb. Doctor said I will be on them for 21-33 days then injections start. Injections are what I fear most due to PCOS and getting OHSS. I'll just stay positive.

Good morning and happy Sunday AFM!

Welcome akdelp!

SD- I like the way you are thinking. DH and I had the "why not just completely invest emotionally" conversation about 2 weeks ago and decided the same thing. It's painful either way, and the positive energy can only help. I think he needed the confirmation that it was okay to be excited this time around. We'll look forward to knowing when the trigger is out so the POAS insanity can really begin!

I am sticking with the past plan on NOT testing until Beta. It works for me. POAS will only make me more emotional than I already am, and I don't need that! To each his own. :D

SD- I have to confess I did POAS once...the night before my last Beta. I knew I was going to receive the Beta results right around the time of an important meeting so I decided that crying or celebrating at home was better. I will still be living vicariously through you on this cycle, but I can probably be convinced to pee the night before. I still have one test as a matter of fact... :D

Great to hear the trigger is out...Let the games begin!

P.S. I am officially a fertility board addict. Not only did I find a way to add a pic, I did it within a ticker. I feel like I graduated today!

Yay Blair!!! I am so happy you are getting going finally and I am sending positive vibes your way.

We are going to be really close together. I am due for Wed and I am sure it will be then or even sooner. Yesterday I had a sure sign that my fave aunt is on her way. I cried like a baby when my 2 year old niece told DH that she loved him (happy tears). Then I watched two chick flicks back to back. lol. I expect her anytime now.

Blissful- I thought from your ticker that your ER was in 3 wks? I prob have a little longer if so because I won't even start lupron until March 6 and then have about 3 wks of stimming and stuff after that. I would be very happy to have a cycle buddy close to my dates though.

Sd- how's the pregnancy going?? I think all the twinges and pelvic stuff are a good sign that you'll be the first bfp!!

Addy- welcome to the board. Sounds like you and I may be around the same time so you are more than welcome to stay around here.

More personals later when I don't have to use my phone to scan through posts.

Hi all. I have been on strict bedrest since Friday morning, so sorry for not posting.

We did a day three transfer on Friday and put in two...they looked really good - an 8 cell and a 7 cell - both grade 4. So fingers crossed that one or both take. I got pregnant with my daughter on our second IVF cycle (she is now 15 months) and we did a day three transfer, so we are going with what works! Warning for any of you who have not been through it - having to lay there and get things pushed around with a full bladder is tough! :D And be sure to have lots of magazines and chick flicks to watch on bedrest...I think it is the only time I control the remote and Meg Ryan movies win out over sports!

Today was day 5 and I talked to the embryologist...no blasts yet of the remaining 9 (they got 13, implanted 2, one did not cleave)...but last time I froze day 6 blasts so am hoping there are at least a few to freeze tomorrorw...if we have to do this again, I would so prefer a frozen cycle.

Started progesterone shots Friday...I think it is my least favorite thing of all this...and DH is a baby about these things, so I have to do them myself. I also have some blood clotting issues, so I need to be on Lovenox (started Sat) the whole pregnancy...in addition to steroids, which make me even more bloated. It is a long, hard road, but totally worth it. The hardest thing this time has been that my daugher has been with my parents since Thurs night, so I can really rest - it's hard feeling like I am neglecting the baby I have for one that does not exist - but I know she is having the time of her life at the beach with my parents!

I wish I had SD's attitude, but like Blair, I won't test before my blood test Feb. 23. I also can't tell if I am feeling things or making up little cramps and twinges, so I have stopped trying! SD, I am so jealous of your trip to Hawaii! I was on bedrest my last trimester with my last pregnancy, so no travel for me (hopefully!) in 2011! Have the best time...vicariously for me!

Blair & Addy - Congrats on getting your periods and good luck on the road ahead.

Shay - sorry about having to abandon the cycle, but good luck and so glad your health is OK!

Happy 123 - Hang in there! It sounds like so much!

Welcome to the new additions...hopefully we will all have lots of new additions soon.

Sending good thoughts and hugs to all of you!

Hey Blair...you are right. I totally forgot when I typed my last message that I was doing an antagonist protocol and therefore have no suppression. It occurred to me when I was grocery shopping that I had made the mistake. Must have been the half dozen or so pregnant women I saw when I was there making me think of you. Ha ha. WHEN I am pregnant, I wish I could wear a sign that says "I worked really really hard for this, hang in there" for those women like me to see.

Trying4second. Congrats on being PUPO! Let me know if you recommend any of the chick flicks you watched. I found two on my last 2ww that were super cute related to IVF. One is called "Maybe Baby" and the other is an oldie called "A Smile Like Yours".

The natural fet is good, no medications. My only issue after the transfer is how to avoid picking up my daughter who is 4. She's pretty good at not getting picked up now. But at those times its hard. Anyway I hope everyone is faring well. :)

With a natural fet, the clinic waits for my body to ovulate and then approximately 5 days after the transfer is done and still no medication. I'm taking a chance and using 2 frosties this time around and I just know it is going to work!

Good luck Kyleen. Fingers crossed for you. We got the news today that one of our day 6 blasts is freezable (there had been 8 in contention - I hate to seem disappointed, but I was hoping for more for that insurance policy!) Hopefully we will never need them! If I do need to do this again, I am hoping for FET with the two we will now have frozen...still seems gruelling, but easier. My daughter is 15 months and I am absolutely grappling with the lifting her...we had her with my parents for my bedrest and I get to see her today, but taking care of a 15 month old while working...AND trying to lay low do not jive!

Blissful...I watched 500 Days of Summer, 17 Again, Conviction, Coules Retreat and tons of Tivo-ed shows...in addition to all the pre-grammy red carpet stuff :) Nothing you can't miss, but all mindless and fun (except conviction...a heavy, good movie!)

SD - can you teach my hubbie the foot rub routine :)

Will be thinking great thoughts Blair :)
