Hey Girls...it's Gila again!!!

Post by GB »

Dear all....
Firstly huge apologies for being so outa touch and congrats to all those whose births I missed.......and here is the reason...
Well, I gave birth to the twins .... a boy and girl....on 13 May :) by Ceasarian :( . TG, both are fine and well and I'm also recovering nicely...just incredibly tired!!!!
But before then I was acutally in hospital for about 3 weeks due to high blood pressure.... at first I really hated it and cried a lot....but in the end I was kinda sad to leave!!!
Their names are Hodaya (Thank/ Praise G-D in Hebrew) for the girl and Matanel ( A gift from G-D in Hebrew) for the boy. It's hard to believe that they are nearly a month!!!! How time flies.... my Mom has been here which has been an incredible help!
Niks ... sounds like your girls are also keeping you on your toes!! What's news with everyone else??? Havn't forgotten you all!!
Take care and all the best!
Keep me posted!
Lotsa luv to all...
Love
Gila.

Congratulations :) , I am happy to have the chance to be the first to say this! Your lovely babies have wonderful names - sound very unusual to me but then again they might be well known in Israel - still very inice of you to tell us what they mean! How much did they weigh when they were born? I take it you could go home fairly quickly - was the birth difficult - you seem to regret having a ceasarian. I 've started wondering about it as I am also expecting twins.
once again wish you a lot of happiness with your bundles of joy, ( and abit less tiredness)
love,
juliana

How wonderful - one of each and lovely names! Thanks for the translation - very much needed. Hope the C section was ok - can't remember how many weeks you were - were you very early? Sorry about the hospital stint - I am so hoping to avoid one.
Enjoy them you deserve it and come on when you can to give us twinny tips!

Hi girls and thanks for the reply...
Juliana, the C-section itself wasn't so bad.... (except for the battle to put in the epidural!) and is very quick! Only afterwards is very sore and I cried for about an hour after birth...just from pain!
I don't regret having a C-section...but don't have much to compare it to! A natural birth with twins seems also daunting to me! But go with what your doctors say and recommend closer to the time!
Trace, I was 37 weeks exactly...... and waited patiently in hospital until then...... they weighed 2.3 - the boy and 1.9 kilo's - girl respectively.
Now they must be closer to 3 kgs each!!! last week he was 2.6 and she was 2.4....so not bad, I say!
Anyone know what's up with Wibbs?
Anyway, take care everyone and don't wish away the time....
Take care and lotsa luv
Gila.

Hey guys!
Thanks again for all your wishes...
Thankfully, another day passed without too much stress or calamity!!!
I even started driving again which is great. My Mom and Aunt are here so they have been taking a lot of pressure off me which has been incredible!
Take care and look after yourselves what ever stage you are at!
For those still pregnant...don't wish the time away.... and enjoy being pregnant...I miss those days...even the hospital ones...
For those with twins or are due to give birth to twins....get playtex bottles .... they are a life saver!
Lotsa luv
Gila.

:D :D CONGRATULATIONS :D :D
And a big welcome to the world for your twins....
I gave birth to Joshua on the 17th May c section aswell, but all is well and I'm loving it....even though he wont go back to bed a 1 am in the morning. :(

I am knackered with one, how you girls cope with two ??? I hold my hat off to you all... :?

I to miss my bump, even thought it's great to have Joshua here and safe, I still long for my bump and when I see a pregnant woman...well..... the midwife said it's my hormones

I try to get on here as much as possible, but as you know it's a round of feeding and changing and more feeding....tring to get out the door before lunch time is an effort, I'm sure it will get easier :?
Joshua was 6 10 oz in Kilos 3.00 and is now 8 3 oz kilos 3.71, chubby boy :D  .

Glad all is well and take care and look after yourselve, get plenty of help while it's on offer.

Love
Wibbs & Joshua :D

Great to hear from you Wibbs...
Hope that Joshua is doing well...... was your c-section planned? I've just started driving again which is fab!!! Not bad after 4 weeks!
I also miss being pregnant...not the heartburn etc...but when I see ladies going for scans I'm jealous..... As I really enjoyed my visits to the gynaecologist as she is such an amazing person!!!
That's all for now...am knackered as usual...but the day and it's duties press on...
Take care and lotsa luv
Enjoy being Mummy!
Love
Gila.
