Lou...First Response Early Result tests, always. I told my doc that I was getting a line after opening the plastic part and drying them and holding them up to a light and that my beta the mornings of my betas 8 and 3...were no different. He wasnt shocked. Weird, huh. These tests are the same. Yes, I have kept and numbered each one from past cycles.

Unfortunately...even though I do believe in variations in dye lots...every single time the color dips...so does my beta.

Now, that all 3 of my pee sticks are dry...I have held them up to the light, outside, against a window...you name it I did it...and they are sooo close...but today's might be a tinge darker. I have them numbered on the back...and kept guessing in different lights which is the darker...and I did guess right most of the time. They're just sooo close...and not getting darker faster like they should. My guess is that my beta will either be only a 20 or less tomorrow, if it is going up...or less than 5 if it is going down. I'm still trying to remain hopeful, but it is sooo hard right now.

Jkulab...how much longer?

Lou- I'm so sorry, yet so glad you're sick! After 13 weeks of suffering in silence with TERRIBLE vomitting, I was finally admitted to the hospital and spent this past weekend there. I was up to vomitting 15+ times every day! I have lost 20 pounds so far. After hospitalization I was diagnosed with hyperemesis and given zofran. I'm trying not to put too much of the meds in my body because it worries me, but losing all this weight when I'm carrying twins worries me too! I was so dehydrated they couldn't even get to my veins for my IV. And I didn't start peeing again until after 2.5 liters were pumped into me! Leora tried to tell me to ask my doc for help and I didn't listen...bad me. I have found thY B-Natal lolli-pops from Walgreens are pretty effective. Maybe give those a try!! I can't wait to hear about your US, and YAY for no more spotting!

Lou...yes, keep crackers by your bed...and before you even get up in the morning and move at all...eat some crackers. Also, sea bands help a ton! Pregnancy pops from Babies R Us help, too...or the suckers that Ryann mentioned. Whatever you do...dont let it go on for very long...get Zofran.

Ryann...Oh you poor dear! I am so so sorry! I didnt know. I know a ton of girls from my mommy's board who had to go on Zofran...and their children all came our perfect. It really is safe. Had I known...I would have told you this sooner. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Here is my self pity party for 10 seconds:
So, I'm working on my SIL's baby shower right now...we are doing a baseball theme. Ryan's room will be in sports. I so dont want to do this right now...so I wont.
I am expected at another friend's baby shower this Saturday...and I really dont want to go now.
Ok, woe is me is over.

ryann - sorry to hear about your hospitalization. I wish you all the best and hope for a speedy recovery. i don't know much about zofran, but i hope it does the trick for you! sending you lots of hugs.

lou - tell me what kind of crackers you're eating and i'll buy stock in the company...lol. all seriousness, the vomitting is only temporary. it will get better. but just hang in there. just a funny story: i had really bad food poisening one time, i ran to the bathroom and as i was expelling into the toilet, my head hit the toilet seat. by the next day, and after a night of sleeping on the bathroom floor, i had a big knot on my forehead from banging it on the seat. So what did i learn?: get padded toilet seats! :)

afm - still waiting. they're suppose to call sometime in the afternoon. don't know when. i can't concentrate at work. and i have so much to do. it's killing me!!!!! i called my bf and he said to me not to worry. i said why? his response was that i was PUPO! i was LMAO! they do have their good moments...

Tammy, I think you should stop playing with the tests and have b/w done. Those tests are unreliable for consistency. Even if you don't want to go through your doctors office, you can order a test online - have it done this afternoon and get the results back by tomorrow morning. It costs about $40 as long as you have a LabCorp near you. Then you can have a beta from today and then 2 days from now on Friday. Don't mess with the sticks. Here is the link:

http://www.privatemdlabs.com/lab_tests. ... ory_result

and if you use coupon code: 4rewraza at checkout you will get 15% off. Check it out.

Thanks Carol. However, I am going tomorrow morning and will have results by 10-11am anyhow...and then again on Sat morning...and insurance covers it. Besides...I'm about to take Zach to the docs...he just broke out in a bad rash all.over.his.body....there are millions of tiny red dots and they are raised. He has had nothing new at all, detergents, lotions, food, nothing and it is not itchy or hives, either. Also, dont believe it is heat rash...as it is very cool in his room and he was trying to nap. It is either viral, nerves or straining to poop on the potty by himself (he's scared to poop on the potty, even though he is fully potty trained), chicken pox, or from the kitten scratching him. He was laying down with the kitten...and Zach must have been too rough again with him. I dont blame the kitten...he puts up with a lot. Ugh.

Jkulab...Hang in there!

Tammy - I really pray that you are wrong and you are jus tpeeing all that HCG that is in your body!!! Praying for awesome results on your beta tomorrow! So glad you are not waiting till Friday! How the heck did you get him potty trained so fast? Mine is refusing to go in the potty, no matter how many stickers I bribe him with! I don't blame you for not wanting to do baby showers, the 2ww is such a crazy time!

SD - super baby dust on your beta, I can't wait to hear what it is!

jkulab - the wait is terrible, are you getting the call at work or home? BFP!

Ryann - sorry you have been so sick, I hope you fully recover soon!

Samantha - great number of eggs!

Tiger - I hear ya on the name and I say use it! When I was pregnant with DS, a co-worker was 3 weeks ahead of me and said she had no clue what to name her son, I said we chose Alexander for our son. A week later someone tells me she is naming her son Alexander. Then when I asked her she said oh yeah the name came to me, I said sure cause I told you that was what we were naming our son! So of course she had her baby named the same as mine and before mine so everyone thgouth I copied her name, just really annoying! :( Super good luck with the HSG, those tubes will be nice and open! Take 2 motrin before!

Lou - I found that the more little snacks I ate, the less MS I got. Good signs right? :) Can't wait for your US!

Margi - what the heck? Yickes, come on people get your act together here! Doing the AF dance for you!!!

Leora- your numbers are great and you will have perfect blasts!!!!!!!!! :)

I think this is an adequate introduction:

I cycled with some of you in Nov-Dec...

Started my meds last week and I'm getting closer to ER... a little worried about hyperstimming ... again... but hoping for the best...

Hope you'll still have me...

Best of luck to all the betas for today!!! hoping for bfp!!!

baby dust to all!!!
Married 10+ years

First FET... WOW. First ever BFP!!!

SD - woohoo woo hoo! I hope this is a sticky one!

Anton - people always talk about how stress affects IVF (and fertility treatments in general) and that we should relax during our cycles for the best results. WTF? How am I supposed to relax while doing the single most stressful thing I have ever done? I try to relax as much as possible, but seriously, no one is relaxed during this process. I always worry and worry and worry and so far things have always been fine with the IVF part. Also, your clinic sounds like it has a very nice "sample production" room! DH would love that! Like I said, we usually bring from home, where he has all of his own 'things' and entertainment!

Tammy - my dog eats everything! We like to joke that one of his favorite foods is dust bunnies (he stalks around under the bed and comes out with enormous dust bunnies that he gobbles up!) He is too funny. But his absolute favorite food is anything we don't let him eat! Try not to freak about the pee sticks...

Jeib - the waiting is the WORST! ugh! My clinic tries to call all the beta people back first, just so you don't wait as long for those results. Come on!

nwquiz - hurray for follies! after 4 days of meds, my follies were 10mm, but they were also 10mm at 6 days of stims. I had a 'slow start'.

Lou - I'm glad you are so confident that I will get pregnant. I've gotten to the freaking out point now. I need to convince myself that this can happen.... even though it hasn't yet.... oy. I can't wait until the waiting is over. Could March come a little sooner?

Margi - I really wish someone could answer the question of "why does this have to be so hard?".... how about we make a deal that the first one to meet the Maker will ask him, and then tell the rest of us? :D

Tiger - so ideal would be fresh donor sperm.... that's a bit difficult! What about a friend in the other room, who 'donates' to a turkey baster? <sigh>.... David's idea of me just having an affair/one-night-stand/3-some is sounding better and better!

Samantha - yay! 26 eggs is fantastic! Rest up and feel good

Ryann - I TOLD YOU SO! - sheesh girl! Why didn't you listen to me WEEKS ago? I also was in denial about just how sick I was (puking at least 10 times a day - I lost 30lbs). The babies are fine without food, but you need to stay hydrated. Feel better! Zofran is a godsend! TAKE YOUR MEDS! THE BABIES WILL BE FINE!

Rio - just a word about potty training - my parents rewarded me with little story books and I grew up to be a HUGE reader! (I love books and read at least a few a week). They rewarded my brother with coloring books and he grew up to be a great artist. My sister got stickers.... she is a B average student, but loves to color her hair and paint her nails, and other girly things. Maybe it's a sign!

longtimerivf - welcome back! I too, am addicted to IVF. This is my 6th transfer.... how is the stimming going?

AFM --- we had an open house seminar about become foster parents tonight. Very interesting. What's ironic is that I always wanted to be foster parents when 'our own kids were grown'. oh well. We are interested in a foster-to-adopt baby... we'll see. The minimum age is 25, so at the very least, we have to wait until my birthday this summer. Neither of us are sure how we feel about it. The risk of having the biological parents regain custody is SOOOOO scary.

OHSS ladies -- I've never had OHSS, but I'm thinking I might be developing it. I'm soooooooo bloated. I look about 6 months pregnant. It's really really uncomfortable. I don't really have any other symptoms (I was dizzy this morning, but it passed). I can't tell if I've gained any weight. ( I don't usually weigh myself. They weighed me before the ER, but I was wearing my boots and carrying my purse. Today I am the same weight, but also on a different scale - so I can't tell). Anything I can do besides drink water (no Gatorade or Powerade here!) and take tylenol? I'll call my doc in the morning. Will this mean I can't transfer? shit!

Just a quick update on Zach. Doc says it is viral....even though he is completely healthy...ears, throat, nose, and all. She said it should clear up in about 2 days. She pressed on the dots and the redness came back...so she isnt concerned. Whew!

longtimeivfer -- Thanks for the laugh and Welcome back. I don't know how many times I have said this is my last cycle. Seems once the end of the road gets to me, i find some other way to jerk myself back onto a cycle. So what are your plans? Does your Dr. have some different ideas.

jkulab --- Nooooo. I'm so sorry sweetie. I was praying so hard that you would get good news. Take some time, and hash out a plan for your next steps. I hope you won't give up. It really can work. I don't know why it doesn't more often. It seems so simple, place a fertilized embryo in the uterus and it should know what to do. But it doesn't work like that. But just because it didn't this time doesn't mean it can't or won't. Personally, I've transferred 3 day embies 3 times and got pregnant 2/3 (total of 6 embies) or 66.7% of the time. I've also transferred good quality 5 day blasts 3 times and gotten pregnant 0/3 times (total of 5 embies) or 0%. I can't explain it. It makes no sense. It also makes no sense that the cycle where I only had 3 eggs retrieved, had 2 mature, and 1 fertilize is the one that stuck. I'm sorry.
