Sherry - I am so so sorry about your BFN. I really thought you were going to change the luck on this board by announcing your BFP! :( Good luck with your FET in the future. Huge hugs!

Tammy - so glad you'll be getting extra supplementation of estrogen. When it doubt, try it out. Why not, right? I hope this makes alllll the difference!

AFM - STILL haven't heard back. I am feeling SO tired and sleepy now. I better be freakin' prego with all this tiredness that I've been having to deal with lately. DH thinks all I do is sleep these days.

Kimber Baby wrote:Hi ladies,

I'm back from pouting about my BFN :D

So, I need some advice... I think my insurance will cover one more try for IVF. Once I confirm, I need to schedule a consult. So, the practice I go to has 2 main RE's. I just randomly let them select one for me when I went for my initial consult. The RE I used has been head of RE board for many years at 3 area hospitals - so he's pretty experienced. The other RE in the office is pretty well-known from his research and he does a lot of tv interviews, etc. so he's more famous in our area. He's the director of the place. So - do I stick with the same doc that I went through the first cycle because he's more familiar with my case or do I give the other doc a shot? Keep in mind, this is it for me. I won't be able to afford to do another cycle anytime soon.

Also - how soon does it usually take before they start you up again? Can you tell I'm anxious??

Kimber
Kimber - i would switch the REs. from my experience if you let teh receptionist pick the RE for you, they'll put you with the less busy one and guess what? he is less busy for a reason - not as good! that's what happened to me at first. i took teh first available appnt and the guy was crap. luckily he was out one week and had his partner do the IUI for him - and oh my god - night and day difference. i've been with this other doc since and he's got quite a following.

just my 2cents!

Hi all - sorry I've been MIA. I've just had the worst PMA ever and couldnt bring myself to type anything positive or productive! I am not feeing anything "down under" and last succsful cycle i was already experienced implantation pulling senstations. anyway - i'll get over it. sorry to be a downer!

Just want to give another shout out to Tammy - i already posted on your ghost thread - it sucks real bad what you are going through - and i hope hope hope the baby pulls through!. now that you have estrogen coursing through your veins thing should get better!!!! i hope!

And to SD - another awesome congrats on this thread to go with the one on the march i already posted! Congrats! great news!!!!

And to the BFN folks - i am really sorry. it really sucks! i am mentally preparing myself to join the club.

OMG. I'm in shock! Beta today was 667!! My last beta 2 days ago was just 236. That's a doubling time of 32 hours!

Is there such a thing as doubling too fast?? Another beta scheduled for Monday 2/21.

Thank you Tammy, Rio, and Anna!! & thank you Anna for that reassurance! :D

I spoke to my nurse again after the initial call and she said we still can't rule out ectopic pregnancy, which scares me a bit. I was taken off my meds (estrogen and progesterone) 4 days ago because my RE said that my body is having no problems producing it on its own. My progesterone was 163 and my estrogen was 2195. They will, however, repeat my labs on Monday along with the hCG. Oh, I hope it continues to head in the right direction. They want to schedule me for an U/S on the 24th, but currently having scheduling conflicts so they'll call me back tomorrow to confirm. Still so nervous it may be ectopic. Yikes. The worry never ends.

Yay Ashley! No way it's ectopic. Too high and doubled too fast. I'm voting for lab error or a lost twin. Either way, you're pregnant! Praying mondays labs look awesome too.

Hope, if they still have a concern about it being ectopic, they can do an u/s now just to see if the sac is in the uterus. They can usually see the gestational sac after 1500-2000 hcg. But that level is awesome! Congrats momma!

Hope/Ashley - When my husband came home from work I was literally jumping up & down & clapping and ya he thought I was crazy until I told him why! YAY YAY YAY - So Friggin Happy! I don't think with those numbers it can be ectopic...you are just pregnant lady! So happy!

Tammy - You are pregnant too and I think you caught it in time with the estrogen, I bet your next Beta is higher, I always take estrogen & my RE makes me take it until 12 weeks.....so I think you did the right thing telling your RE that you wanted to be on it.

LongtimerIVF - Sad we are both back here again! But happy I get to do it again with you! No worries on the postponing of my last cycle would rather have it be right than take a chance. I am only doing FET's at this point we have spent way too much money so we decided the six we have on ice one of those is our baby!

Lou - I know it is hard to not be stressed when there is blood (I have the same experience as you everytime there is that brown blood) but just keep the faith that it is just your body getting rid of the excess for your little bean to have a great home for the next nine months - I am praying for you :-)

Kimber Baby - Nothing wrong with a little pouting after a BFN.....I usually scream, cry, kick and basically take it out on everyone I know so I think pouting is definitely OK. Keep your PMA up and as far as the docs go I would definitely try the other one - he has a reputation to uphold so he might try a bit harder to have a better outcome & it sounds like he sees a lot more patients than the other guy (so more experience) but at the very least interview him.

LYD - Keep your PMA up - I do the crinone and although it is messy the side effects are way less...as far as not feeling anything...I felt not one thing the last BFP I got and my first number was 820! So keep the faith sister you are brewing a baby in there and baby needs your PMA :-)

Hotgreentean (Sherry) - Can I just say WTF! UGH I am so so so sorry! I hate this part of it and there is truly nothing that can make it better, but I am giving you the biggest virtual hug right now, all the ladies on this board have been were you are at and we are all here if you need anything - hugs (I am doing a FET on 3/18 maybe we can have similar timing?)

Leoria - I really hope you don't have OHSS..but drink lots of gatorade & take care of yourself....you are going to be pregnant on Sunday!

Justsolost(Shell) – Don’t fret about your fert report just yet…you may get some perfect babies out of it and as Lou has shown us it just takes one, keep the faith I have a good feeling about it 

Samantha – That is an amazing fert report! I thought mine was good but yours is better! That sounds like a perfect recipe for some baby cooking 

Jkulab – How are you doing – been thinking about you

Margi – Are you California Dreaming yet? Jealous wish I was there with you – it’s cold today here!

HopethisworksM – I have got everything crossed for you two to have a great beta tomorrow 

Anton – I think it is funny that we all look forward to the needles! So funny – I was terrified of needles I would get totally worked up when I had to have a blood test…..I mean sweating, hot flashes, mood swings, couldn’t sleep, being generally ornery then I had to do 33 days so of lupron to start and ya I got rid of that phobia! Hah! Well I think we may be on the same 2ww schedule if you start stimming at the end of Feb then you should ER/ET around when I FET 3/18 so we will be 2wwaiting together! Also for the stress maybe try acupuncture – it really works for me –

Deftonnesmo – Sounds like you are progressing nicely – you will have your beta just about the time I have my FET so come on BFP!

AFM – I finally finished our taxes and thank god we are getting a big refund so we can pay for this upcoming cycle! YAY – We only owe another $600 bucks for the FET because we got a credit but between acupuncture (which is 75 bucks a visit twice a week) and the chiropractor (50 bucks a visit once a week) it gets a bit pricey! We do my first monitoring appointment next Wednesday and praying for a normal lining (whatever that means) and then we will be off an running once again! Have a great night ladies 
