mellow- Thanks for crashing. Hope all is going well with your two little ones and they are growing like crazy. I am also hoping you are right and this is our month. I figure new year, new RE, new protocol...so Im off to a good start. Heres to hoping I end up with a baby in December!

crissylove- I dont want to sound biased but I am a fan of POAS before hand. Before our very first IVF/beta a friend warned me to go ahead and test so that I was somewhat prepared for the answer and didnt have a breakdown (if necessary) in the office. Keep us posted if you finally cave in.

Lyd10- Just because you didnt get the twinges doesnt mean it didnt work. You have to keep a PMA and know that you are doing everything you can to make it work. Just stay strong.

SD- any more tests today? Im sure that little line is going to get darker and darker!! Cant wait until we hear the actual beta test next week.
Me- 26y unkn inf.

TTC for 3 yrs
2010- 3 IUI, 3 IVFs (1 chemical, 1 MC @ 6wks)

Triplets turned Twins- lost 1 baby @ 10 wks. 2 Baby Girls!!

Blair- Didn't you have an ultrasound today? How did it go? Do you get to start "shooting up"?

ToHaveFun- Just curious, and feel free to ignore me, but is your egg donor someone you know? I just ask because we are considering going that route if necessary. I'm one of those people who always likes to have a back-up plan! :D

LYD10- Try to stay positive! You never know, you might be our 2nd BFP!

SD- Keep peeing on those sticks for us!! LOL! Hoping for a nice rise tomorrow on your beta.

AFM- I don't know why I've never gotten anything from the right ovary. The RE didn't say that there was anything wrong with it, there was just nothing there when they did the ER (although there were many follicles). I'm definitely staying positive, but I'm just not letting myself get overly excited like I did last cycle. If I get lots of eggs next week and most of them fertilize, then I'll be over the moon. For now, I have another ultrasound tomorrow, so we'll see if all my follies are still growing!

Hi all,

I'm hoping I can jump into your group having just found it. I'm in the dreaded 2ww. Had 3day transfer on Tuesday. Had 2 8 cell grade 1 embryos transferred and have 3 blasts as of today that are now frozen.

We've been ttc for 16 years and could never afford it before now. Although we can't really afford it but because I'm 37, we're running out of time. We adopted our daughter from Kazakstan 11 years ago today.

I hate this 2ww, this time is even more crazy because we're finally biting the bullett and doing IVF. I have PCOS, never been pregnant, hubby had cancer 10 years ago and is now infertile but we have some frozen swimmers from before the cancer.

I was on PIO before but never had hot flashes from it. I've been having hot flashes, all day...anyone else have this?

Sending lots of baby dust to everyone out there. Hoping that this group will help the 2ww be a little more bearable. At what point do you guys do your beta? My clinic waits 14 dpt? Is that too long? Can I test earlier?

Thanks in advance.

At my clinic for 5d blasts, they wait 12 days. For 3d, it sounds about right to wait 14 days. I do have hot flashes. However, I'm only doing Lupron right now to shut down my system. I think all the hormones I was on for my fresh cycle caused me to have hot flashes too. However, that was over 2 years ago and I don't remember it as well as I once did. That's so strange, I thought I'd remember every second of that first cycle for the rest of my life, but it has faded into the background. :|

VOTE FOR ME-Official Mayor of Crazy Town

So today I decide to give in to paosing bcuz I knew I'd get a bfn this early anyways. I figure what the heck let's have some fun. So I used one of my old HPT kits from a few yrs ago. After about 5 mins I get an "O". I'm like"WTF"!! So I scour the Internet looking for some kinda explanation, only to learn it was an OPK. Just had to laugh at myself. So I'm tkg that as a sign I should back away from the pee sticks. SMDH

But that's not all folks. Not even 10 mins later after I was practically making love to my toothbrush, I realize that it wasn't even my toothbrush, it was my DH's. Yuk!! My worst nightmare come true. I had to use every ounce on strength in my body to stifle my gag reflexes.

So that's what day 7po is like here in crazy messed up progesterone town. Wanna come?

Hey ladies! The ultrasound and blood work came back GREAT. No cyst! I just took my first shot. Blair you can add me to the "doing injectibles" group and change my transfer date to 3/5.

I was so excited when the US came back clear...but then my local specialist burst my happy balloon when she told me she was going out of town this weekend and that I would be driving 7 hours round trip to my clinic for a 5 minute ultrasound and blood draw. Actually, to be specific she did not tell me, one of her nurses did. When she completed the US and we were discussing that I was on a new protocol and would need to come in Saturday she just said "oh...well...let's make sure you get a green light and then call and let me know." Then I call and they tell me she will call me tomorrow to let me know for sure, but that she thinks she is going out of town. She could have had the courage to tell me that. I am so disappointed and don't really connect with her and her staff, but there is literally no other option for 80 miles. Grrrr!!! I realize she deserves to have a life, but c'mon people...get a partner! Have a back up plan!

I really can't complain too much, she has worked with me in the past.

Trying to let it go and focus on my follies. :D

SD- can't wait to hear about the beta tomorrow. DH just asked me if any of "the girls" were pregnant yet and I told him about you. Grow baby grow!

Blair/SD- thanks for the advice. Blair- You really are a busy lady. When I called it a "specialized degree" I was oversimplifying it. Its actually a three year banking school where I will get to crunch lots of numbers, run a simulated company with a group of bankers from all over and from many banks, and write lots of papers. I would go in May for two weeks to S.C. and have pretty much decided that if I am preggo I will sit it out for a year but will go if not.

LYD- Keep the faith. Don't overthink the symptoms. Everyone is different and so is every pregnancy from what I hear.

Mellow/Rio/Anna- it is so great to hear from all three of you.

Cwerhs- good luck tomorrow. Can't wait to hear the report.

crissy - yes you are definatly in crazytown, can't even poas correctly or at least the right stick. haha Thanks for the laugh tonight.. oh and congrats on your frostie. a little back up plan doesn't hurt.

indigo - welcome to the boards. hope your stay here is short and sweet. My clinic does betas really early. If it doesn't fall on a weekend, i will have a beta 11 days past ER and 13 days past Er. its great having them done early but for some it can be really nerve racking because the numbers could be really low. They only do 2 betas and then if they are positive I will have an u/s at 5 + weeks and then 6+ weeks.

cwehrs - No I don't know the donor. This is completely anonymous. I have seen pictures and i know her first name is Rachel. That's about it. I went through a donor agency to find her. Last year I was gonna use my sister to be a donor but then i was with another RE and she talked me into trying again with my eggs. So i tried twice more with no luck. at this point my sister is turning 40 so since i am paying fully out of pocket, i decided to go with an anonymous donor who is 25. need me some young eggs. Good luck on your u/s. hopefully they will be able to get some good one from your right this time.

LYD10 - don't give up hope, you don't know how many times i have heard the same thing from other ladies and they end up being preggo. the fat lady isn't singing yet.

SD - Can't wait to hear your beta results tomorrow.

blair - glad to hear the AF is leaving the building. i had her for 2+ weeks and i was beyond ready to kick her to the curb. finally she is gone.

blissful - sorry to hear you have to make such a long trip for a 10 min u/s. My last clinic was 2.5 hours away and i had to do the same thing. Thankfully my sister lived near my clinic so at least I could hang with her for a few hours if I didn't want to drive home right after the appointment. maybe you will bet luck and the Dr. won't go out of town and you won't have to make the drive.

AFM- still sitting here pretty much in crazytown. Don't know how i will make it through the next week. Too much worrying that this won't work. I can't believe in 3 weeks i will know for sure. funny i have been going to yoga, the yoga instructor was trying to rub the stress knots out of my back. called me atlas and said i had the world on my shoulder. ha i wonder why.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm really hating the 2ww. Am I? Aren't I? I go from convincing myself it hasn't worked, to staying positive and believing it has. I haven't even implanted yet...lol. According to what I've read online, today the blastocyst hatches from the shell and will hopefully implant tomorrow.

How do you guys get those cool little tickers in your signature lines?

I'm glad to have found this list.

Good luck all!

sorry mister, annoying poster on our thread, but we've all tried that and quiet frankly it didn't work out...so if you wouldn't mind leaving us to our IVF/IUI cycles without interrupting with futile suggestions, we'd appreciate it.

hee hee-- sorry, I know we're supposed to ignore these but I just couldn't resist the irony.
LOL! I was thinking the same thing. And I'm sure that I've had sex many more times that he's listed there!!!!!
