I agree with Ghost and saw a really good article by a fertility specialist that commented on kelly Preston getting pregnant at 47 and how it "tricks" women into thinking they can wait. How he saw so many broken hearted couples who thought hey all the celebrities are having babies late, why can't we?
I agree ladies. I started trying at 35. By 36 I was trying IVF but my body was responding like I was 42.
I remember vaguely thinking at 35 that it shouldn't be hard to get pregnant and if it was I'd *just* take some fertility drugs. Like it was no big deal. Boy, was I wrong! No one is really out there talking about how heartbreaking the infertility journey can be and I don't think you realize how intense it is unless you or someone close to you goes through it. A good friend of mine saw what I went through and froze her eggs at age 37.
And, like a lot of you, I saw celebrities getting pregnant when they were older. I figured that if they had had treatments I would find a way to pay for it if I had to do that. I had no idea what was in store for me.
Anyone watch Oprah yesterday? Celine Dion was on talking about her new twins. There was also a family with 6 babies! I can't imagine how all the mommies of multiples do it. I thought I wanted multiples until I realized one took so much energy!
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!
Did you guys watch Grey's Anatomy? The main character snuck in the elevator to do fertility treatment shots. I just hope there is a show that actually shows how hard this is and not just oh look at that two shots and we're pregnant!
