Quick question ladies...today for my bloodwork, the phlebotomist stuck and dug to get blood (my favorite thing--ew). Nothing came out. So she put a bandaid on and went to the other arm and drew without a problem. Me, with two bandaids walked to the front and as I was checking out blood came pouring out of both arms. Like all down my arms and on my purse and all over my shirt. I was totally embarrassed--and bewildered. I have been at this IVF/IUI thing for 2+ years with tons of sticks (obviously) and never had this issue. She looked at me as if I had done something wrong and asked me if I was on any medicine. I told her Lupron, but I didn't think that could cause any clotting issues, could it? This is my first time taking Lupron. Was it just some strange fluke? No big deal to me, I am just curious because this is the first time I have ever had an issue. I know also now have two fabulous bruises. Maybe it was just something about how she stuck me? Strange...just curious.

Wow I just read alot!!!

Tammy - I am going to say a huge prayer for you tonight! Can't wait to hear your beta tomorrow!

Rio - How awful about your friends dog!! I just hate to hear things like that heppening so I can't imagine how you feel!

Good luck to everyone else!

AFM - I was supposed to start Lupron on Monday but approval is not here yet so no meds. I will continue with BCP for now. INS says it should be processed by Tuesday. Tonight I got home from work and shut my house alarm. Apparently I hit the fire button that I did not know existed. Home phone rang, I never answer it...cell rings with 800 #, why would I answer that?my Dad calls to say alarm company called to check on a medical emergency alarm. I tried calling back 800 #, and just as I got a human on the phone the fire engine arrived. I was sooo embarrassed!!! My Chihuahuas were yapping. "Please hang up the phone and put the dogs in the other room!!!!!!" I hung up on the alarm company and You try catching 2 Chihuahuas while 3 men are entering the house. I was like um sorry! My fireman DH who was working (in another city thank God), got a laugh!

she just put a bandaid? mine usually put a wrap around the elbow a few times for pressure to keep from brusing and tell me not to lift anything heavy with that arm for 20min

Hello girls

Well a lot has been happening!!! SD- wooooohoooooo. So excited for you :D Tammy- Everything crossed for those numbers going up and up! Leorira- I'm also due to have my first acupuncture appointment next week, we'll see. To name but a few. Hope everyone else is going OK too.

To cut a long story short, we're staying with the same doctor but minus all the crazy cytoplasmic stuff. So I started on the GonalF on the 17th...

Good luck ALL

Tammy - I really do see the line, but I'm hesitant to say that it means anything. Of course, I really hope that this bean is sticking, but pee sticks are notoriously bad for judging 'how' pregnant you are (remember Lou freaked out a few days about about a pee stick being lighter? It didn't mean anything). I'm dying to hear your beta number today....

Lou - I always almost fall asleep during accupuncture! I think the relaxing part of it may help me more than the needles! I'm also doing meditation with my therapist now (because she can tell how stressed and freaked out I am!). I really like learning the relaxation techniques. It makes me feel better when I'm freaking out

JustSoLost - I like your new abbreviation (CMA)! I'm so happy all 4 of your embryos are still going strong. Our first IVF, we shared with everyone. We were so scared and excited. Now, we keep it completely to ourselves. Not even our parents know. Only one friend does (and all my online buddies!). In some ways, it's easier when people aren't always asking or expecting news.... but on the other hand it's easier when people know what you are going through and can offer support and/or distraction.

Carol - Sorry your progesterone didn't come out as high as we wanted. When do you start your injectibles?

longtimeIVF - yup! We move fast around here! Congrats on your ER tomorrow! I'll be doing my ET and sending baby dust to you!

Sherry - again, I'm so sorry about your BFN. It sucks so bad. You should totally do something to indulge yourself. My favorite friends (Ben & Jerry) usually make the trip from the supermarket to keep me company! --- Margi swears by acupuncture and I know Lou does it as well. I'm not a real 'convert' to acupuncture, but I take the approach of "it can't hurt, it might help". For me, the couple of bucks I spend on accupuncture is totally worth the peace of mind that I'm doing absolutely everything I can.

Nicole (SD) - YAYAYAY! That's awesome! Grow baby grow!

LYD - I think we will transfer 2 this time. I know the risk of a twin pregnancy (more than most people), but the fear of losing twins again is outweighed by the stress of thinking about another cycle. My doctor will be upset (he wants a eSET), but DH is supporting me in this one right now.

Kynlee - today is the last 'teen' day of February -- tomorrow is the 20th! Only 8 days after that until March! I'm dying for March too - I'll get my results!

Margi - GREEN LIGHT! yay! The bleeding thing sounds really scary. I have really difficult veins and often get stuck in more than one place, but that sounds really odd. Did you stop bleeding relatively soon afterward? Have you ever had a clotting test?

Lauren - I hope that approval comes really fast! I'm always on BCP waiting for the damned approval. Hilarious story about the firemen! So... your DH is a hot firemen? awesome! Mines a computer programmer and fits all the stereotypes (skinny, super white, nerdy), but I love him anyways!

Qita - congrats on starting stims again! Most of the women on this board are in the USA, and sometimes those of us abroad get different ideas from our doctors. Things that are weird or experimental in the USA can be totally normal outside. The cytoplasmic thing sounded weird though...

AFM ----- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I'm going a bit crazy! I'm dying to know how many embryos there are! I have to wait until noon tomorrow!

I'm just going to crawl back into bed with DH (he sleeps until noon on weekends... I never can sleep late so I snuggle and read) and try to calm myself. Just about 24 hours until ET!

Leora... One more day until you are PUPO! I can't wait to hear how many you will have and put back in. You are 7 hours later than me, so you should be find out soon how many you have!! What is the earliest you have gotten a bfp? I think I would start on that dpo.

Margi.... I did a quick google and it seems there are some others that have had bleeding issues with Lupron. I know it can cause clotting, but apparently can also make some women bleed excessively. I also read that it is used to permanently diminish the ovaries as opposed to removing them... and why would someone want to do that? Yuck....

Someone asked me when I would start my injectibles cycle, I think Leora... assuming that I am not chosen by some miracle of God to be pregnant this cycle (ha! I think there are more deserving than me!) then AF should be arriving Wed/Thurs and I would go for SnS on Friday then start injecting next weekend. Fun!!! I am hoping we will be aggressive with the stims so I only have to be on for about 10 days... naturally and even on clomid (and even this cycle with clomid and injectibles) I have NEVER ovulated before CD 16 - usually around 18- 20... and I don't want to stim that long... too expensive and arduous. So I am hoping for CD13-14 at the latest to trigger.... praying for lots of active little follies!

Tammy - I'm so sorry. I really had hopes for your bean. I must say, I'm really proud of you and all you were able to figure out. You are amazing and smart. Damn, I so wish you had good news today. I feel so bad now. Will you try again? I think you've figured out how to make it work just a bit too late this time.

HopethisworksM - Congrats! That's wonderful. Hope your beta on Monday doubles nicely.

Leora - Hun, you are almost there! Remember, 6th time is the charm.

AFM- I'm just so sad for Tammy I can't muster much else right now. More personals later. I'm feeling a bit sick to my stomach this morning. Bleh.
