Crissylove- I loved back in my files and they never checked my E2 levels unless I was stimming. All the levels they drew for me during the ivfs were just progesterone and hcg. Best of luck and stay positive!

Thx e'body. Good 'ol Ghost gave me a pretty precise answer. Sounds as though many are not using E2 in fresh non-donor cycles.

Had some positive signs (if you will) today. Heightened sense of smell to a ridiculous level. Felt like my dog. I'm also getting that metallic taste in my mouth. Keepin hope alive ppl.

Great news girls...my local specialist is delaying her weekend trip for me. I feel so bad about venting about her now! So tomorrow I have a regular old US only 15 minutes from home and NOT 7 hours. I am definitely bringing her a bagel and some flowers! I haven't broken the news to her yet that I will need another one next Saturday and I want to be appropriately appreciative.

LYD10- This protocol is a new one for me and my specialist. She was as surprised as I was that we were having another US so soon after the baseline. I think it may be standard for the antagonist protocol though. I was stunned that my first dosage of FSH was really high (300 IU) so I think that is why. So I am thinking they are really aggressive to start and want to monitor the first couple of days closely as a result. At the end of the protocol I have an US two days in a row! Its definitely different and I haven't really asked about why.

SD- on the doubling Beta.

Crissylove - when's your beta? We transferred on the same day. They told me March 1. Can't come soon enough for me!!

Nicnad- I'm Canadian. My clinic gives betas. They always do a quantitative one and then if positive they repeat it 48 hours later. I'm sure you can ask for them. I've never had anything else but that. Where are you? I'm at a Toronto clinic.

As for estrogen (estrace) I'm on 4mg 2mg/2X a day.

Crissylove - that's awesome about metallic taste! i had the very first time we started trying naturally. i am pretty sure i was pregnant for about a second there. but it was a chemical - not that yours is - but i think that's a really good sign of something happening. since i didnt take an hpt i dont know for sure - but metallic taste is a good sign.

awesome news! that's very nice of her to delay her trip. and i am glad you dont have to drive for 7 hours. all protocols and all people are different. my doc didnt want to see me till day 5 this time - because my follies are slow starters.

yep, I am. So weird how each cycle is different. Both my other two cycles that progesterone gave me bad depression...for some reason I'm quite the oposite this time....obviously not complaining 'bout that

how could you possibly be depressed - you are pregnant!

AFM I am going in for my transfer on Monday and as of then I will be joining the pregnant list! I'm only transferring one embie back on my specialist advice due to my age, the fact that my daughter was a natural pregnancy and I achieved a pregnancy, albeit a chemical with my last fet.

Keep the faith ladies and chins up. Baby dust to all.

AFM- the u/s was pretty good. It is hard to say though because it is so early. It is tough not to be disappointed. I had 7 follies total measuring 9 to 11 (3 on the right and 4 on the left). I am symmetrical and everything looks good but of course I would have liked to see MORE!!! Like the doc said though, it is really early. I am only on day 5 of my cycle and have been taking stims for two days. The whole point of an antagonist cycle is to push these babies as far as possible and let some of the little guys that are just getting going catch up and mature. So its way too early to tell. I will be really excited for my next u/s though. I will find out when that will be when I get my orders later today. I think it is so funny...that call that tells you what to do. I feel like I work for the CIA and I am awaiting top secret instructions, like Mission Impossible. Except this is Mission Totally Possible!!!

I have a three day weekend to enjoy, but will spend most of today writing the last of my reviews. When I am done I am going to watch movies, do yoga, meditate, read, goof off on the computer with all of you and be lazy for two whole days. Lovin' it!

Blair: I won't be doing any stims. I'm doing an FET. I will gradually build up on my estrogen, have an us on 3/4 and if things look good then, I'll do transfer on 3/11. By the way, I think I have turned the corner on this cold! I'm not great, but better

Blair- It does sound like we will be on the exact same cycle. I am doing a fresh cycle. Fingers crossed that I can go all the way this time. When I first found out that I had been canceled for OHSS it felt like I could not start again for months and months but it is already less than two weeks away. Are you doing fresh or frozen?

Crissy- I am your biggest cheerleader! You always have a special spot in your heart for your first cycle buddy. I wish I could have went all the way with you! I have been sending lots of baby dust your way and I think it is working! The smells and tastes are a great sign.
