Hi Girls

Thanks for your kind thoughts.........its definately no go, nothing would be surviving the bleeding I am having. Have to test on Sunday anyway part of clinics protocol.....
I am going on Saturday to see my own gyne cons who specialises in Infertility - he referred us in the first place, I want to see what he makes of everything!

Speak soon

I'm off to finish last nights bottle of red

I am sorry and sure you are right so enjoy the red - won't do any harm either way! But as for nothing surviving don't you believe it girl - mine was the worst AF I had ever had and that little one did survive - at least until we had to remove it! Others have had awful AF's and been pg with twins or just one.
You have the wretched testing for protocol anyway so this will answer either way.
Take care and we are here.......

hi jen

so sorry about af, you must test as a lot of people get af type blood around day 9 and it is implantation bleed. I really hope that is what it is.

I will not be cycling over the next few months clinic can not fit me in, but will be here if you need me.

it has got to work for one of us at least..

take care

Hi Jen,

I had AF yesterday also and tested negative today! But I was due to test so definately test on Sunday as it is early for your AF to arrive.

I was devastated yesterday and teary all day. I was exactly like you - no AF symptoms but my boobs had been tender up until Tuesday so I did suspect something had changed.

Today however, I'm under control although still don't know if we will go ahead with another one. Part of me can't see me stopping but part of me thinks it will never happen. I'm certainly not going to go again unless they can offer me something different to help with poor response or implantation but then I'm sure they can't as I'm on the highest dose of menapur and we just had assisted hatching - just looking for a miracle really.

Anyway, take care look after yourself

Jen,

I hope you don't give up. I understand where you are coming from since I was (and sometimes am) feeling the same way. I know it's hard to believe that something is ever going to work but look how many people on this board haven't conceived until after a large number of tries. Obviously, each of us has her own emotional, physical and financial limits which determine how far we can go but I think you will find that, if you take some time off to recuperate, you are not at the end yet. It seems like you want this really bad and you are still young. I don't know your whole story but it doesn't seem like there's any reason things won't eventually work for you. All these procedures are so emotionally and physically draining that you really should just take some time off though and just try to enjoy life for a bit.

You should feel free to vent on here any time you want. I've certainly spent enough time on here feeling sorry for myself. We all understand!

Hi Girls

I am feeling a bit better now......thankyou for all your support.

I also went to see my gyne cons this morning and he reckoned that my polycysistic shaped ovaries may be causing a problem with implantation......its just another possiblity........so he is starting me on Metformin.......wants me to have no treatement this month and he will scan me 5 days after next af to see what is going on....if things are looking good then it is another DI in July............oh joy!

So on the up side......they're trying things.....my gynecologist is actually better than the clinic because he is really into research and specialises in female infertility........sometimes I feel the clinic can be a bit stagnant, doing what they always do and not thinking out of the box.
Also, just booked a holiday........go on Tuesday 15th for two whole weeks....bliss............

So........I am not going to give up just yet....god knows why........we'll I think everyone one here does and we all feel the same!

speak soon girls

Jen,

It sounds like your gyn. is willing to take some effort to figure out what is going on. I agree with you about the clinics. I think that sometimes they miss little details regarding a particular person's medical history, etc. They get so used to using the same formula, doing the same tests, etc. for most of their patients. Also, I don't know about your clinic but at mine I end up with whatever doctor is available. I had 3 different Dr.'s involved with my last IVF cycle and I just wonder if their lines get crossed up sometimes. For instance the Dr. who did the transfer told me that he would have done a 3 day transfer instead of 5 and he didn't know who decided on 5. Plus, there are 3 IVF nurses and occasionally they would give me different information. Kind of disconcerting!

Anyway, I'm glad to hear you sounding more positive. A holiday is a great idea!

Glad to see you are coming out of this strong again! and a holiday in Crete - go for it big style and I mean BIG - I am a firm believer in holidays in these circumstances and worked for me! Your gyn sounds wonderful - just the thing you need. I must admit the 5 day thing has it's merits - the theory he has by the way not the putting back. Blastocycsts were all the rage and then 5 dayers - I really wanted to go for this on my 4th as was worried about implantation failure and embies etc but was pursuaded to go for 2 day as normal as better off in the body - I really do believe this - I guess you have to have belief in the tmt you are receiving.
Anway keep us posted - failure is success turned inside out and you never know how close to your dream you are until you try. You will get there Jen
