SD: I think your RE was being sincere in concentrating on quality instead of quantity. My RE said basically the same thing when I started out. So here's to your good quality eggs!

I talked to my RE today he thinks things are going along really well but maybe a little fast. I start cetrotide and menopur tomorrow and cut back the fsh just a very little bit. Go back for another u/s Monday already even though the calendar didn't have me in until Wed. I didn't even think to ask him about the number of follicles. I am always unprepared for my questions when they call, You think I would learn to keep a list by now!

Thanks for the encouragement ladies. I know we will get just the right number of beautiful, healthy blasts. PMA!!!

Have a GREAT time Blair!!! You deserve it.

Ok..think I got the ticker thing figured out. Ah, I can't wait a week and 2 more days....GRRRRR!

As for how does being PUPO feel? I'm not sure. I don't really feel any different, and trying not to make that a bad thing. I mean I have all the symptoms of injecting myself with progesterone everyday, like super sensitive breasts, hot flashes, etc...but nothing else really. I was having some minor minor cramping yesterday which I'm hoping was implantation??? Wishful thinking perhaps? Gotta stay positive. I'm just really excited at the thought of having 2 possibilities inside of me.

I think this week, I'll try to keep myself busy and hopefully the time will fly by. Yeah right! I"m also somewhat comforted by the fact that we have 3 blasts frozen and waiting. We did a day 3 transfer but chose to culture the remaining to blast and have 3 strong and healthy snowbabies.

I think one of the biggest disappointments is that my best friend just got pregnant (first try, gotta hate people like that) and I'd love to be pregnant with her. So we're dreaming that we'll have big bellies together. Our kids will be so close in age, etc...

But I"m at the point after 16 years, that whatever will be, will be. I'll do everything to make it happen, but if this cycle or the 3 snowbabies don't work, that's it for us. (Unless our government decides to fund it, which they're in talks to do, keeping our fingers crossed!)

Baby dust to all!

Indigo- congrats on being PUPO! Your PMA is outstanding. So it sounds like you are anti- POAS, huh? It is so very tempting! Hang in there.

Mamaboo- glad you are feeling better! I was coughing my head off beginning the day of my last FET. I was sure it knocked the embies right out of my lining :D . They say it doesn't matter, but it was just one more thing to worry about getting in the way.

Well, I just got news that I find very confusing emotionally. Long story short...my 6 year younger sister and I are the closest of my dad's 5 daughters. Well, before I moved onto IVF a few years ago found out she was oops preggers again. No one would tell me because they didn't want to upset me...mixed feeling about that. My dad decided well he'd tell me know no matter who wanted him to or not because I was just going to have to deal with it....mixed feelings about that. However, he did add, she didn't really want it anyway. That way, I should feel better?!? Anyway, I got preggers on first IVF when sis was about 1/2 way along. Our babies were going to be a few months apart. She and I talked and she said this one is it. She was having another boy. She wished she could have a girl, but was having her tubes tied. I warned her not to. I know people who go through IVF after having their tubes tied and wanting more later. She had better make absolutely sure, because although they can do reversals, it doesn't work all the time. I had m/c. Couldn't talk to sis again. She had baby on March 2. I didn't even find that out for a long while. Didn't call, didn't ask, didn't want to care. You know. A little later that month, had FET and got preggers. Yeah, had son in November. Sis and I have been back in touch talking again, and I have been able to move on so I thought. This cycle I was thinking, "no pressure, no one else trying. All my sisters are done with kids. I'm on my own with this cycle that I'm not telling anyone about. I feel much better." I talked to this sister last night she told me she is TTC! She was glad she took my advice and didn't have her tubes tied.....mixed feelings again. If this works and she and I are preggers together and have kids close, great! However, now I am a bit stressed and feel pressured about it...Am I terrible person? I'm in an age group where most people I know are no longer trying to have kids, but sis is 6 years younger. Although that is still late 20's. Sorry had to let my feelings out. :?

Mamaboo- you are NOT a terrible person. You and I are the same age and it sounds like our sisters are as well (I have 2, one 6 years younger and one 7 years younger). I've been there... in fact on my first IVF attempt the middle sister who knew I was in my 2ww sprung on me and the rest of the family that she was preggo over dinner. She did this by putting a picture of a positive HPT in a stack of photos she was showing us of her remodeling project. I was the first to see it and my heart went into my stomach. I couldn't breathe! It was her second month of trying.

She was so sure my IVF was going to be successful and was so excited she told me in week 5 rather than waiting until after my Beta. She actually thought this was good news for me and that I would be excited.

I was of course happy for her, but it did add a great deal of pressure and it hurt a lot. Fast forward past the chemical and a failed FET and she would handle it differently now I know. In fact, she cried more than I did after the last BFN. Ultimately, I am glad I stayed close to her through her pregnancy as she has been one of my biggest supporters.

People just do not understand what this is like until they have been there. Its not like we are angry, hateful people who wish this on others. I don't even think for most of us it has a thing to do with jealousy. It is just that other people's joy is so often a reminder of our pain.

One thing I do know is that because of our age and experiences, our conception journey is very different than our fertile younger siblings. For me, I embrace my nieces and even stayed positive and put on the greatest shower of all time for that middle sis. But that said, it is all about me right now. I need to focus on protecting myself emotionally and selfishly putting my journey first. For me that means sharing my progress with my sisters and family so they can be sensitive to what I need. I am very lucky that they are. For you it may mean keeping it quiet.

I'm curious, did you or are you going to tell her that you are TTC too? It is a very tough choice because it does add pressure, but it also gives you the opportunity to let her know what you need from her in how she communicates through her process.

Yes, I told her. I couldn't help myself. Then I kind of regretted it. When we started this process, everyone knew. Then I had a m/c and I kept things to myself until after first trimester. Everyone knows we have done IVF, and that is how we have our son. I just keep the fact that we are currently cycling to myself so that there are no questions and having to tell people if something doesn't go well. My sis and I talked a few minutes about it and in that length of time she mentioned she didn't realize how involved the process is. I guess most people have no idea. However, I am trying to be positive about this cycle. What she does will not effect my cycle, I just need to get that through my head. I need to remember this is not a zero-sum process. :?

mild cramping is common. I also had spotting each cycle. I ended up pregnant each cycle, although the first one didn't work out in the end. However, the second one did. Hopefully, it is implantation spotting you are having. :D

Hello Ladies,
I am new to this sites but I have been reading and I am soo worried now. I had my FET 15th Feb and on my 2ww. My RE didn't say anything about not having Sex, he just said to take thing slow and easy after 24 hrs rest. Now I notice mostly claims that we shouldn't atleast untill after Beta. This is my second and probably my last one for a while because I can even afford to try again. Last time was a fresh cycle, I had OHSS and after I healed I had sex and AF at day 10. I had many symptoms of cramps and others the first IVF. Today is days 7 of my FET and still just very mild cramps rare occasions. However lower back pain which is probably from the Cyclogest. I am on 2mg progynova 3x too which I think will prevent AF. anyway, am I toasted or? Anyone had inter-cause during 2ww after FET and still had it successful. Please help. I am going real crazy now. Please advise.
