Hi Tammy Glad you had a good time on your trip, despite the 5 hr drive...Well about my shot, we made a DNA test and it seems that me and DH have one gene or genes that are the same. this gene though,...once embryos are transferred my uterus becomes hostile and doesn't "recognise" the embies as "friendly" and probably expels them...genes supposed to play a huge part in the "mixing" of eggs and sperms...thus, my RE proposed this therapy where my DH gives an x amount of blood and from that blood they "take" this gene and they inject it in me along with a kind of andidote (it doesn't have the colour of blood & its more like fainted pink and blurry). NOT intravenous but just enough to stick my arm skin and press it in. They can't press it all at once so they make 8-9 sticks in my arm. Of all the shots I ve taken in my tammy (more than 250 shots...so far) this ones hurt like HELL!!! I am telling you, this thing is the worst feeling ever! B/c they put them at the end part of the arm towards the carbal bones (just before the palm of the hand begins) and it feels like nothing else. This procedure is done same day my DH gives blood ...within hours. So we needed to do this 3 times with a 3 week break in between so that the shot has enough time to work. So this Friday is going to be 3 weeks since my 3rd & last shot and we are going both me and DH to make the blood test and hopefully this will show how well I have responded to this therapy. My RE believes that this therapy, if is not the reason why so far we got only BFN's, then for sure is going to help to the implantation of the embies. This is how my RE explained it to me but I still have questions to be answered in more detail. Hope my RE sees what he is expecting to see and give us the green light to start the protocol. He said I should start the antagonist protocol and with NO BCP's to begin with. he said he never uses BCP's 
....so far my previous DR had me on BCP at the begining of all 4 IVF cycles. Well, new RE, new protocol, new findings... I hope this gives you an idea...I will know more to tell after my RE appt on Monday 28th. I can keep you posted if you are interested. Even though he couldn't promise, my RE was very optimistic about this gene "discovery" and thinks that this could be IT. In all 4 IVF cycles my embies where ranging from 7-10 cell on 3dpo ET's. We never had a 5 day ET which we are planning to do this time and Assisted Hatching. And before the ET my response to the meds was excellent at all 4 ivf's. So I am crossing my fingers that this could be IT!!...Ask your RE if he knows anything about this shot! that would be interesting for me too. I have never heard before of this therapy.Since my new RE is the famous one that got in the Guiness Book of Records for his achievement in getting pregnant through IVF the oldest woman pregnant in the world a 60 something year old one, then I strongly believe he will get me pregnant too! and I am going to be 37 in June!...I hope I don't get 60 and keep trying!!!

Wow, today is a big day for some of our ladies... Lou has her u/s ~ good luck! Its going to be awesome for you to see the little bean. Amanda has her u/s today to find out the sex of her baby! I'm still pulling for a boy! AND Margi has her SnS to see how her follies are doing.. I suppose they are going to be holding up little signs saying "Going West!"

hi everyone! i just got invited to my bf's sister's baby shower in april. i don't think i have the strength to go. plus, she's not one of my favorite people. i really hate being caught between a rock and a hard place.

Quick post from my phone- u/s showed 1 baby measuring 6w3d with a heartbeat! RE doesn't measure the rate this early but said it looked good. I'm so relieved! Thank you God.

Anton you poor thing that sounds so painful. Fingers crossed for you. It's amazing what they can do these days. And your soup sounds so yummy.

AFM I'm so anxious for my AF to start next week. Hopefully it won't be late but I think it may as around cycle day 16, 17 and 18 I was getting cervical fluid and I spotted on cycle day 18 which I've never done before. (too early for implantation bleeding so it has to be from O'ing) So it looks like a late o date and I always have a 14 day lp. So I'm looking at a March 4 af and starting Lupron on March 26.

It sounded Chinese last time I asked and the first time I asked! ...just tell your Doc the whole idea and ask for a DNA test for you and your DH. If you didn't had one already! I will ask again for the name on Friday when I go for the blood test and I will write it down so I dont forget! I promise!...it was very paintfull but only the idea that this pain will get me to a BFP then NO Problemo!! 
I could be cuting a finger everyday if that will get me a BFP! The will of having a baby is stronger than the pain!! so bring it on! ..Glad u found this intersting. it really is! first time my RE told me I was like, Seriously! but I can't questioned him! Can I! I will keep you posted! Good luck with your doctor! I hope he gives you answers and suggestions for the next steps! Crossing my fingers for you! ((hugs))
