DALLAS wrote:Todays u/s left alot to be desired. The u/s showed a good sac, but unable to see a heartbeat at this time. Today I am 6wks 1day. The dr wants me to come repeat the u/s on Friday. She thinks that they're may be a heartbeat then. There is a chance that my little embryo is just a little behind because he was only a 3 day transfer. My fingers are crossed and continuing to pray every minute. At this time she said there is a 50/50 chance that it can go either way at this time.

Lou- Good luck to you tomorrow.
Dallas - At 6 weeks all we saw was the gestational sac with yolk sac. At 6w6d we could see the heartbeat. So a few days makes a BIG difference that early on. Good luck at Friday's u/s!

Lou - Good luck today with your u/s!

Lou - Congrats again!!

Well, as many of you may already know, I went through some difficult beta hell over the last few days, but things are finally starting to look up for me. Although I've been reluctant to join this board (and still sort of am), I just wanted to let you all know that I've been stalking you. Gosh, that sounds so wrong, lol. But anyway, hoping for the best for all of you! I have my U/S scheduled for this Friday (6 weeks flat) so hopefully after that, I can be a regular on this board. Until then, keep enjoying your pregnancies, ladies! :D

Thanks everyone! I really hope my good luck continues.

krcaja -- My next u/s is Tuesday March 1st. RE will probably release me after that. I feel good only having to wait a week this time.

How's everyone else feeling? I got terrified yesterday morning before my u/s when I had more spotting.... much redder and fresher looking this time. It had stopped pretty quickly though and RE wasn't concerned. He looked for a SCH but didn't see one. Maybe there was a small one that resolved? I'm still thanking God for seeing that little embie with the heart flickering away.

How does everyone feel about joining/moving to the combined 2011 Babies thread that Sonya started? I love the idea personally but am OK with keeping this one going as well.

I am just a nervous wreck waiting for my Friday u/s. At times I have convinced myself that everything is fine, that Im just a few days behind but then at other times i already assume the worst. I left work a little early today b/c I cant concentrate and just wanna cry every few minutes. Im thinking the worst b/c i feel that my symptoms have decreased. My breast dont seem as sore or as "full", I think My bra is a little looser than it was 2 days ago. And my heartburn has subsided. B/C of this I am looking for the worst news on Friday. My husband thinks Im obsessing (true) and that its all in my head, but I really believe these symptoms are true.

Dallas- I completely understand your fears. My boob soreness, nausea, heartburn, fatigue, even how often I pee is different every day. I too was terrified prior too my u/s especially with my spotting. But the baby was there looking good. I tortured myself for nothing. RE s said a heartbeat is only seen once the embie is 5mm or more and may take up to 7 weeks. He said he wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see one as my baby was just barely 5mm (4.99 to be exact). I'm praying for you but feel pretty confident that you were just a few days away from a heartbeat. Remember the 5mm rule.

Hi ladies,

I have a question. I've been experiencing some sharp twinges on and off in my lower right pelvic area. Is this normal? I'm back to thinking and scaring myself that it may be ectopic. Argh, the worry never ends! U/S this Friday to confirm, but it still seems sooo far away!

Dallas, I also believe 6w1d was too early to see a heartbeat. My U/S appt is this Friday and I'll only be at 6 weeks. It's much too soon to see a heartbeat, but I think my RE wants to make sure I'm not experiencing an ectopic since my numbers started off so wonky. Although I'd love to see a heartbeat, I am going in with a peace of mind that it is much too early. I'm hoping and praying for you to see that beautiful heartbeat this Friday. Try to keep your PMA. Let's hope we both have great U/S results this Friday!

Hope--I experience the same thing...its probably your uterus stretching, it begins almost immediately. My dr said its actually a good sign...the baby is producing good hormones to grow your uterus and burying deeper.

Ashley- I had sharp ovary pains on my right side and started to worry about ectopic. RE said that my ovaries, especially the right one were still swollen from ER and some if the empty follicles become cirpus luteums (sores) and cause some pain. Please try not to worry too much. Your numbers ended up looking fantastic.
