afm, i'm still ridiculous. i POAS'd today cause i was thinking i'm not pg anymore. thankfully it was positive but i have an u/s in 2 days. i'm on the fall/winter dd board too.
best of luck everyone! may the good health and baby growth keep rolling
much love, karen
LOL that you POAS!!! I hope you feel better after your next ultrasound. Not 'feeling' pregnant anymore? I went through that when I hit about 11 weeks... energy came back and I really didn't feel anything at all. Thankfully I still feel perfectly normal except a growing belly and the kicks. It's a very nice way to have a pregnancy!

riogirl71 wrote:Sonya - try some yoga pants if you can, some look like regular pants and with a nice shirt it looks fine for business casual. I am wearing one right now from Costco but I think Old NAvy has them too, I had the same issue as you with pants that are comfy standing up but not sitting all day. You can try leggings with tunics, towards my last trimester last time it was all dresses. A pillow works really well, I have a body pillow and they make some maternity pillows to make you more comfy! Yeah for DH being home!
Happy Bunny - I am on a diet cause I have Gestational Diabetes but it is al about keeping your sugars stable all throughout the day so you don't get highs or lows. The nice part is that it controls your weight for a healthy pregnancy weight gain too:
30g carbs breakfast
15g carbs snacks
40g carbs lunch
15g carbs snack
45g carbs dinner
20g carbs snack
of course add vegetables and protein in there and fats, but what really triggers your metabolism and sugars are the carbs. No more juice or candy or chocolate for me. Veggies and protein are "free"
So glad to hear you only have a short time with work, are you planning on staying at home or will you try to find another job later?
Thank you Rio! Now that I'm unemployed, I'll be able to use my free time to focus on eating right and getting the rest that I need. Until my doctor pointed it out to me, I didn't realize that I was eating like a regular person and not paying attention to the changes that pregnancy brings. My total weight gain is 7lbs so I thought that I was doing good but I failed to pay attention to the quality and balance that I need to feel healthy.
I'll be home for about the next 2.5 years until my husband retires from the Air Force.

I have waaaay too many friends over here to not chime in from time to time. Hopefully that's OK with all of you.
I had my u/s this morning and my baby measured 6w3d (one day smaller than gestational age) and a heartbeat was seen. I'm still so worried about a miscarriage especially since I keep spotting every couple of days. I'm going back in 1 week for another u/s to make sure all is well. If so, then I will be released to my OB. I'm excited and terrified all at the same time.
Much love to you all XOXO.

Congratulations Lou! What a relief it must have been to see that little heartbeat. There is always worry, and let me just say that it's something that you will have forever when it involves your little one. Hang in there, we are rooting for you. So happy for you!
Klinger congrats on the baby girl I can't wait to find out who we are having too

Thought I'd poke my head in and say hello again. I've been reading, just not posting in this thread much as I'm not sure where I fit really!
Klinger - Congrats on joining team pink! LOVE the name by the way!
Lou71 - Glad the US went well. My Bean measured 3 days behind at 7 weeks but has since caught up just fine, so I'm sure all will be well for yours.
Annashope - Fab that you can feel movement now - awesome feeling isn't it?
Rio - How are you doing?
AFM - Had myself a little breakdown this morning. I had an OB appointment yesterday and all is good there, although I do have another symptomless UTI which is annoying since the side effects of the antibiotics make me feel worse than the UTI...Then this morning I had an appointment with my endo and while she's happy with how I'm going, I was silly enough to ask her about the birth and how my baby will be affected by my diabetes - all stuff I knew, but I guess it's just harder to hear it and talk about it and she told me that they will take my baby away to the special care nursery straight after birth - so basically I get a cuddle and that's it and they take my baby away for 24 hours minimum. Of course I can visit in the nursery, but it's just not the same is it. Aw, crap, now I'm crying again. I really hate this.

Congratulations Amanda! What a sweet name too! Think Pink!!
So far you all seem to have names picked out...We can't even come up with one, let alone two! We will have our big ultrasound Thursday morning, and will hopefully find out what we've got growing on in there. Can't wait to see them!
Happy Bunny - because I'm diabetic, the baby is used to me delivering higher than normal blood glucose (even though I have good control), so after birth bubs will continue to produce more insulin than it will need which can be a problem if Bean doesn't adjust quickly to having less glucose. I know it has to happen and everything should be fine relatively quickly, just the thought of the baby being whipped away so quickly upsets me especially since they also confirmed that they will definitely induce or c-section at 38 weeks now. I guess I'm just being emotional today!

Lou- Congrats, my friend. All is going to be ok! xoxo
Klinger- Yeah for girls! You're going to have so much fun planning for baby Maribel! How's Dr. D?
Kizmet- I'm sorry to hear of the hospital's plan for your baby immediately after delivery. I would be upset too. Just try to think about the happy moments of the baby's arrival...and the years and years of love and cuddling you get once all is settled. Big hug.
AFM- I have another u/s and cervical length check tomorrow. So excited to see baby smith! I'm going to ask the tech to tell me if the sex is obvious. Otherwise, I will find out at our 20 week ultrasound pending baby position cooperation. So excited. I know I could just call my RE and get the PGD results, but I kind of want to find out via ultrasound. Not sure why...just seems more exciting that way. Of course I'm going to confirm what the u/s tech says with my PGD results afterwards. I"m finally feeling better and my cold/sickiness has gone away. I'm still taking it easy b/c I get so tired easily. This cold really killed my stamina. But overall I feel pretty good. Just wish time would go faster and it was delivery day already! My belly is starting to really pop out. I'll take a pic soon.
xoxo
