Just a quick post to say..

Lyd10, I too had menstrual like cramps 2 days before my beta and I thought for sure that my period was about to begin. However, I took that as a good sign because I never get menstrual cramps before my period begins, only once it actually starts. Anyway, got my BFP this cycle albeit a funky start with my numbers. Don't lose hope yet, it could be a good sign. Praying for you!

Longtimerivf, congrats on being PUPO!

Hope, hoping for a really nice increase in your beta tomorrow!

Rest, sorry, I'm on my phone right now and you all know what a pain it is to write long messages. Baby dust to everyone!

Afternoon ladies,

I hope that you're all doing well and that there is lots of PMA out there :D

Hope- Have got everything crossed for your numbers today. As everyone has said, the numbers vary greatly at this stage so keep smiling and looking after your precious cargo.

Lyd- Oh my goodness, it's your Big Day. I really hope that you managed to get some sleep last night and are feeling positive. Am really really hoping for a beautiful BFP for you.

Leora- Hang on in there lovely. This is a truly rocky road but please please please in just a few days you'll have a wonderful BFP and then a smooth journey to being a Mummy. Don't be too hard on yourself, sometimes crying is the best thing to do. Am sending you lots of PMA and baby dust. Treat yourself with TLC- you deserve it :)

Anton- I can almost see your BFP in a month's time!!! With all your PMA and all the tests etc you've been undergoing, you are going to make it happen!! Good idea for us re FET but sadly FET is not legal here. Don't ask! Really think that if this time doesn't work for us we'll wait till we move back to the UK in the summer before trying again as not being able to freeze is a massive drawback.

Tammy- Don't know how to get the little dancer on screen but I assure you that I am doing the AF dance for you. The cat is wondering what the hell I am doing! Whetehr to wait a cycle or not is a really tricky one. For us, I thought I might as well go for the short sharp shock of back to back rather than prolonging. Hope you hear from your doc ASAP and whatever you decide will be the right thing for you.

Katie- A FET on Paddy's Day?! You'll have the luck of the Irish with you and your little embies

Longtime- Yay!!! 3 beautiful little embies are in residence at home. Happy PUPO. You take good care of yourself and your precious cargo.

AFM- Ultrasound this morning (day 8 of stims)- seem pleased with my lining (10). The increased stims have not given me any more follicles than last time but nurse said increases stims also increases the quality of the follicles? I have about 8 ranging in size from 16 to 8. They're not growing fast but nurse reckons ER Monday or Tuesday. Have another ultrasound and an acupuncture appointment on Saturday. In the meantime all I can do is keep my fingers crossed.

Sending all you ladies out there loads of good wishes.

Wannabeamum...dont use digitals when it's time to test...you need to be further along for them to work. First Response Early Result (FRER) (not digital) can detect hcg at levels of 7 and 8..."IF" you open the casing, dry them, and hold them up to the light. I can explain further if some of you (when it is time) want to know more...just ask. If you dont open them up and dry them...you will probably not see the line at all...like me...at 10-11dpo. Digitals need hcg levels of 50. So if you got a positive at say 11dpo with FRER...it would take you till approximately 15dpo to get a positive with a digital. Also...your ET was just 2.19.11? Did you trigger with hcg? You are way too early for a positive...but at least you now know that the trigger is gone...and when you do get a positive in a few days...that it is a true one. You are only 8dpo today...you have at least 3 more days to wait...if not 6 more days. Please dont let your PMA falter.

Here is a tip on buying FRER's for everyone. First go to FRER website and get a $2 off coupon...go to Walmart and get the box that says it is 2 tests (but the 2 is crossed off)...and it is really 3 tests in the box...giving you 1 free. They are $7.98 (here) for 3 tests...minus the $2 coupon...makes them only $5.98...so only $2 per test. I usually buy 2 boxes to play with from 11dpo and on. They are in the pink box that says you can test up to 6 days earlier. Hope this helps.

Margi...Cant wait to hear all about your sns and trip out there.

LYD...lots of people have cramping whether pregnant or not...to hard to tell. Stick with tylenol just in case. Hoping and praying for a terrific beta for you! What time will you know so we can stalk you?

LongtimerIVF...Yayyy on being PUPO. So sorry that they rushed you in like that...but the sooner they're in you and in their natural environment the better, really. I honestly believe that. Are you doing bedrest for a few days now?

Hope...When will you be on to let us know how your beta jumped up and that everything is looking good? Hoping and praying for you, too.

Katieb...Thanks for the info. I have a few new friends at the lab...since I'm a regular there now (I go to a place near home and not my clinic)...and they are on a mission and are looking for the codes for each test to help me figure out which ones are covered...which I thought was really nice of them to do. Talk about above and beyond. I should be getting a call today. Thanks for dancing. Your FET is on the perfect day!

Sunshine...I completely agree. PMA is everything. And the strong will survive.

AFM: AF is still not here. Normally PIO keeps it away exactly 5 days every cycle...which would have been yesterday. So it's not like it is really late or anything...its just 6 days since the last shot now. Doc would never give me anything at this point. I think going from an estrogen level of 53 to 1150 in 2 days last Thurs, Fri, and Sat (on mega doses of estrogen)...is delaying things more than "my normal". Oh well. I dont know if we are waiting another cycle yet or not either at this point...so whatever. lol

Good morning everyone!
Just recovered from all the meds from yesterday's transfer!... Hopefully they will snuggle in comfortably...

Leora - you're hillarious! poasing is addicting... lol!! take a deep breath and soon you'll get the two lines... it's just too early! I lost my post where I commented on your lovely pictures about your dog! We had a Lab before moving and she was our little baby... she would watch tv with us and everything... she thought she was tiny but weighed about 60 lbs!!!

LD -- BEST OF LUCK!!! we'll be praying for you all day... hope this is it for you and that the cramps were just your little one snuggling!!! fingers crossed!!

Katieb - yoohooo you're on your way to the FET!!! it's just around the corner!!!

Tammy - sorry you're waiting for AF but soon you'll be cycling again and this time with estrogen you'll do wonderfully!!!

Hopethisworks - let us know how your beta is today!! hoping for wonderful big numbers!!!

Wannabeamum - don't be disappointing... it's still too early... you need to be at least 11 dpo... and even then sometimes it's negative and you could be pg... that's the problem with poasing... but take it easy and keep the PMA!!

Mairi Anne (Quita) - wonderful number of follies!!! grow follies grow!!! enjoy your acupuncture session!!!

Anton - sorry about the confusion... but... you're brave to take all those shots!!! As you said... anything to get our babies home with us!!! you'll get your BFP this time!!!

Rio - thanks for being our cheerleader!!! and hope everything is going great with your lil one!!!

I'm sure I'm forgetting someone... please excuse me...

AFM - as I'm finally waking up from the valium they gave me before the transfer... truly knocked me out... my RE had to wake me up for me to see the ultrasound screen and see as he transferred "the three amigos" as he called them!... that was cute... then I drifted off again... 8) apparently the non-drinking part of IF is getting to me!!! My DH was really worried about transferring on 3d embies... but it's better than waiting to 5d and not having anyone to transfer... and they are better in than out... so I'm pupo in bed for 3 days and they said this time "no showers" (has anyone had this??? I feel yucky!!!)
... and waiting to poas in about a week...

hope everyone has a wonderful thursday and we get tons of great news today!!!

Baby dust to all!!!
Married 10+ years
TTC 6+ years
fresh IVF's x5... all bfn...
First FET... WOW. First ever BFP!!!

Longtime... wow... I might need some of that valium.. I have not been sleeping well lately at all. I hope they are snuggling in deep and getting ready for the 9 month ride!

Leora... I couldn't really see anything, but then you never get a bfp this early anyway do you? I am confident you will see something by this weekend. Sounds like forever away doesn't it?

Tammy.. you are the bargain POAS shopper huh? That's funny about the test strip idea. I have taken mine apart before, but I find if I look at it too long I can see a line everytime! LOL

AFM... I don't know whether its funny or sad that I know my body this well.. but like I predicted last week, AF was right on time this morning. Its like she mentally sends me her itinerary! Oh well, called my RE office this morning and I go in for my baseline tomorrow morning. This is going to be a full injectibles, max out the ovaries, IUI cycle. This is definitely it for me, so wish me luck! Who else hates going in for the baseline u/s at cd 2 or 3? Its awful.. like I really want someone probing around down there during this time of the month. I don't feel like having a conversation with anyone, much less touching me! I kept thinking I was going to make a mess all over the table and floor last cycle. This whole process, TTC, pregnancy, delivery, etc... it can be humiliating at times with the over-exposure! LOL

HopethisworksM -- Keeping my fingers crossed for a nice beta rise for you today! Good luck!!!!

LYD -- Good luck today! I'm thinking of you and will be checking back often for your post. (AF cramps are a good sign! I still have them on and off).

Leora -- 9dpo is too early and you know it! Please try to be patient and you WILL see that second line.

Tiger -- You are PUPO my friend! I'm so praying you get your miracle this time.

Tammy -- C'mon AF!!! I'm dancing away and getting tired! When will you know if your waiting out a cycle or not?

katieb-- Your FET is coming up soon! I agree, 3/17 will give you Irish luck!

Longtime-- Congrats on being PUPO with 3 beauties! Remember, it only takes ONE. I'm proof of that and mine was a 3dt as well. You technically have 3x my chances.

Qita-- Hope your 8 follies all grow and mature over the weekend for your ER early next week. Acupuncture should help too so I'm glad you're going.

Samantha-- Uh... too early to POAS hun. Listen to Tammy... she's got great POAS advice.

CJ -- I'm sorry AF reared her ugly head but I'm really excited for you to get started on your full injectible IUI cycle!

AFM -- Feeling good just a little nauseous off and on and I get tired early. Keeping with the bus analogy.... I'm really hoping I don't get kicked off this bus! Next u/s is Tuesday.

Hi guys -

Tammy you are too funny. your knowledge of HPTs is scary good! you ought to write a manual on it :) you can probably make some good money on this, too - i didnt know that frer could detect such low levels if you know what you are doing with it :) I hope your AF will show up soon and you decide on your cycle plans. BTW, my son's name is also Zach :) i love that name. although we seem to be going through a wave of popularity of Zachs. there is lots of them everywhere i go.

Mairi Anne - thanks for our support! glad to hear your stimming is going well! nice to be able to jump into the next cycle so quickly.

Samantha - that's exactly why i dont poas - i cant take that negative. its too emotionally scarring for me :)

Leora - wow - i admire you guys for being able to poas and poas and poas like that. i just cant take rejection like that.

Longtieivf - congrats on being PUPO with 3! 3day is not so bad - they are still 3 fantastic embryos, each with potential to be a baby. good luck good luck! and i couldnt take showers during the first 24 hours either.

Carol - i hate baselines, too. at that time of the month my uterus is particularly hard to see and the stick hurts particularly hard.

Lou - so glad you saw the heartbeat! now you can relax a little bit.

AFM, i am going for my b/w soon and then i usually hear back between noon and 2pm PST. i woke up with cramps again but no blood, knock on wood. this is a weird, weird cycle - nothing like my other two. i think the PIO is really introducing a new element of unknown for me here. never had cramps unless its right before the period - so i keep waiting for my period to start. this morning i went to get my HPT and i was all ready to pee on it, but i ran into my DH holding DS and my DS grabbed it out of my hands and started playing with it. I said "screw it", must be a sign for me not to poas - i'll just go into my beta blind.

Leora...let it dry a few hrs and hold it up to the light and see if you can see the line through it. Dont put the light directly behind it...but off to the side so you dont blind yourself. lol I inverted through the same website with each of my tests and couldnt see anything...even though it was positive and I could see it by holding it up to the light.

Lou...I think I will make the final decision when either I start AF or when my doc calls. He'll be back this weekend, if I dont hear from him before.

Longtimerivf...Weird that they want you on such strict bedrest that not even a luke warm shower is okay. I understand no hot baths or even hot showers...but no showers at all? Weird. lol

Carol...Sonya (DandMe) taught us that a few months ago...and it works. Otherwise, I may have not known about my 2 recent very early miscarriages. If it hadnt been for those positives and my calling in to get early betas...I would have maybe waited till beta day and had gotten negatives (having already miscarried)...therefore never knowing about the estrogen problem either. By the way...have you had your estrogen levels checked during cycling? We older gals should all be tested.

LYD...I love that you have a Zach, too. I know of older Zach's but only 1...well 2...younger than him now. Too funny about writing a manual...Bill tells me that about different things...all.the.time. too. lol I cant believe you walked away from poas...Zach was just trying to help you! lol Now you're going to make me wait till 3-5pm...my time! Ugh! You pst girls ...are going to drive me crazy!
