Keren good luck with the cervical check today. I had mine this morning and everything looks great....Doctor actually said that it looks like I have a "normal" length cervix which is surprising considering the amount of surgery done on it but I won't argue...lol As for the gender....the baby closed its legs and turned away...lol I guess it didn't appreciate us invading its privacy so maybe in 2 weeks

Karen - good luck with your cervix check! Dr D is doing great! I told him you said hi and that your TAC was holding up great and of course he had his trademark big smile. My cervix is looking, in his words, "fantastic".

Karen: I'm ready to be done as well, I've been having contractions for the last 2 days. Trying to do as little as possible which is kind of hard with the other 3 kids.
Going to make an appointment with my OB tomorrow. I guess I'll be out of work soon. My cervix was great last week so hopefully its just BH.
Karin! Congrats on your two baby boys... how exciting!!
There's so much double posting going on with the two groups (summer and winter)... it seems the new combined group is a hit so if we start posting there we can let this thread fade away....

Congrats everyone on finding out their babies' genders!
I had my first trimester screen and genetic counseling yesterday and the babies passed with flying colors. Both had nasal bones, both had good nuchal measurements and the odds of Downs and Trisomy were low. They were very active - one looked like it had hiccups. They wouldn't guess at the genders as someone took their 1st trimester screen to heart, and it turned out to be wrong, and they got a COMPLAINT. They are not allowed to guess at the genders anymore until 16-18 weeks.
I also saw the OB today for the first time and she said that MFM will check my cervix for the first time at 18 weeks at my level II US and I will have US every 4 weeks until the 3rd trimester, then I'll have frequent biophysicals. Sometimes the bio will be done at Maternal fetal medicine and sometimes at her office.
I feel very relieved and am going to go ahead and join the local mothers of multiples club so I can attend the members' preview of the spring resale!

Question for everyone:
I have passed the 24/7 nausea phase and am in this new phase in which about twice a day, early am and late afternoon, my gag reflex goes nuts--my throat starts twitching like I'm going to vomit, but I'm not nauseous at all!! I can vomit 2-4 times in a few minutes and not feel nauseous - it is happening right now. I've got a zofran on my tongue hoping to quell it as I have to get in car soon. Is this normal?

I am 14 weeks now and finally morning sickness is getting better but I am still a bit nauseous throughout the day and nothing tastes right. I think it is normal. I felt the same way in my last pregnancy. I mean I am definitely better than how I felt at 10 and 11 weeks but not 100% yet.

Zoe: Congrats on your screening results! The morning sickness seems to last longer with twins, at least it has for me. Mine is better but I still vomit about 4 times a week. Try snacking on something small every couple of hours like pretzels, it usually helps me during the day. Feel better soon!
