Wow... all of your pics look so awesome! Keep those belly pics and u/s baby pics coming. I love them.

I do have a question for everyone. Did anyone do or is anyone considering either CVS testing or Amniocentesis? I know CVS can be done sooner. I am not sure what I should do when I get to that point. I lost a pregnancy due to Trisomy 18 so it's definitely on my mind. I'd love to hear your thoughts/experiences if you did it or considered it.

Thanks all!

Rio -- My due date is 10/14/11!

Lou - I did not consider amnio or CVS since my first trimester screening looked good.

Annashope - Great news on your cervix check!!

Tammy - Thanks and I can't wait until you join us over here! I'm always stalking the Winter thread so hoping you, Margi, Tiger, Leora, and Lauren can get over here pronto!

I love the combined Board! Now I don't have to stalk different boards so much! Sorry forbeing absent but I didn't get any otifications and thought everyone was just chillin' ;)

Sonya - are you doing intros on first page also? Love your gorgeous smile and belly! GLOWING!

Mellow - congrats on two girls!!!!! great belly pics on blog!

Happy Bunny - great pic!

Annas - we are almost 18 weeks and there is no hiding it! So we told some and now people just say oh congratulations! Tell your friend now before she notices and gets upset you didn't tell her! She will be happy for you! You can wait until the baby is born ;) - NOT! Some people that saw it honestly seemed bummed out I didn't tell them...

Freckles - cute little belly! and awesome baby pics! Are you relaxing now?

SD - march is coming soon!!!!!

Tammy! You will be joining us soon my friend!

Lou - I understand your fears but I would not do either. TO risk a 1 in 100 miscarriage rate for CVS or 1 in 200/300 for amnio did not sound acceptable to me. You can go through the nuchal test with AFP test, then the level II US and quad blood test, if you are concerned by then, I would recommend an amnio not CVS. You went trough so much it is not worth the risk. I almost did an amnio with our son cause some results came out high but by the level II it was fine and my odds were so low I chose not to do anything. I will do the same now. But this is a very personal decision, my two cousins did CVS and were fine but they get pregnant at the drop of a hat.

Amanda - cuteeeeee belly!

AFM - It has been two weeks since I took my quad test and they told me that if there were any issues that they would call me within a couple of days so I am thinking no news is really good news! We have our big level II on Monday and a fetal echocardiogram on Wednesday because of my GD. PRAYING FOR A SUPER HEALTHY AND GENETICALLY PERFECT BEAN!!!!

Just curious for those of you who have had cervix scans...do you know your measurements? They said mine was good, but...I am seeing that it's not where it should be for 16-20 weeks. Normal is 4.0-5.0 and mine was 3.4. Anyone know anything more about this than I do???

Mellow - Yay for joining team pink - twice over!!! WOO-HOO!! I'm definitely not the right person to ask about a "normal" cervix given that all of the surgeries I've had on mine have left me with very little left. My first scans at 8 weeks or so showed mine around 2-2.5. My scan 2 days ago was just over 3 so that is awesome for me. My MFM who did my TAC called it "fantastic," but again that's in comparison to what I had early on.

OMG I'm glad we got the groups together.. fun having girls further along and just starting out!! Gives us a broader range of subjects and support...

I suck at personals...... I usually quote each person and respond individually...

However..!

Amanda - you look great, and yay for the awesome doctor's appointment. I think it's cute that the baby was being shy... gives you yet another great surprise to look forward to.

SD welcome, welcome, welcome!!! Love that you're due at Halloween!! Always wanted to paint my belly... we're going to Mexico next month and I might let the girls paint me for a day on the beach. LOL

Lou - we did not do the amino. We decided we would terminate at 16 weeks if it turned out the baby had something terribly wrong.... something that would be a life of pain and suffering. However, a Down's baby would still be a gift and we would welcome it with an open heart. With all we went through I was not prepared to take the chance of something going wrong and losing a normal, healthy baby. Not everyone's choice.. but I don't have another three years and $40K to do this again... the cards were in our favour for a healthy baby.

Mellow - Wow!! Two girls!! LOL oh wow you have some awesome memories ahead of you! Congrats!!!

Gina - Gorgeous belly full of gorgeous baby!!

Rio - yep, I'll put the intros on soon. Thanks for the kind words!! :) I'm sure they would have called you if something was wrong. Good luck with your level II! Oh and thanks for the great EDD list - BTW I'm having a boy!! :)

AFM: Baby had a quiet day without a ton of kicking. It made me a little nervous but a quick doppler check proved he was just fine. Ugh. I think it's because I wore super comfy clothes today and didn't have the pressure on my tummy that makes either him kick more or I feel it when he does. LOL

SD - I was ravenous some days and still have days like that. And for the progesterone question, the way my doc explained it, a fresh cycle is when you do need the progesterone support because they've sucked everything out of your follicles at ER. If we'd just ovulated normally the corpus luteum would hang around and trigger the prosgesterone. My RE had me stay on the progesterone & estrace until 10 weeks.

Gina - great belly shot!!

Love the combined group, so much going on!

SDtrying#2 wrote:ladies, I'm crazy hungry!!! probably eaten 2000 calories for dinner alone, WTH??? I had borderline high sugars but no GDM last pregnancy. I am a normal weight now but gained a ton of weight my last pregnancy (nearly 50lbs!!--- thank goodness for breast feeding!!) I think if this keeps up I'll gain 20lbs by the 1st trimester (hopefully bean makes it!). I think it is the extra progesterone. Any suggestions??? Ugh, I've heard that progesterone support in fresh IVF isn't even important, i hate it.....how long do your REs have you do the progesterone???
I wouldn't worry too much about eating right now as you may soon be hit with morning sickness that can cause weight loss. Also, things might change when you are taken off the progesterone. For now, I'd eat and enjoy and reconsider a diet change if all does not even out in a few weeks.

AFM: I had a huge meltdown yesterday... I know how silly this might sound but here's what happened:

The baby had a really, really active day. Literally, she was up from 2am to 8pm with only some short 5-10 minute rest periods. The more she kicked, the more I was aware of her. I started thinking about taking care of her and started feeling really inadequate. The world also seemed really scary... I was thinking about drugs, AIDS, cancer and other horrible things that I was afraid that I could not protect her from. I cried on and off all day.

I'm feeling better today. I've bounced back and she's back to her normal self. I guess we just had a bad day.

SD~ Progesterone is important in a fresh cycle, but not as much in a frozen one. I did the same thing, and became desperate every two hours to feed my piggy face. It lasted the entire first trimester...just chalk it up to you needs for the baby. My RE had me on progesterone until 12 weeks, because I had a SCH, otherwise I would have been off of it by week 10 like Stephanie. Hold on honey, that first trimester is a bumpy ride of crazy emotions and weird feelings. So happy for you! :)

I have to say, I am still in shock....TWO girls. Sheesh are we in trouble or what!! haha :)

I did the progesterone until 10 weeks. As for the hunger... stayed with me the entire first trimester. I would go and get FULL truck stop breakfasts to eat at work.. and before I rarely ate as much as a piece of toast. So far I've only gained 10 lbs so obviously it didn't hurt me, but I was terrified it would!
