I am here in (not-so-sunny-at-the moment) Southern California!!!! pretty exhausted from the trip and time change confusion. But very happy to be here and full of PMA!! And happy to be in a hotel with free wi-fi so I can keep up with all of you ladies.

Lou: My friend!! Do the best you can to try to visualized the positives during this 2ww. Are you seeing your acupuncturist? Mine has really encouraged me to continue especially during 1st trimester. If nothing else, may help with relaxation. (Yes, I have become an acupuncture-pusher now too. lol) Can't wait to hear your u/s news.

Rio: You are an amazing cheerleader!! We all love you here!! Good luck with your next u/s on Monday. I am sure all will be well!Image

Amanda1979: Welcome back...good luck on Tuesday. Glad that your meeting at Vanderbilt went well--sounds encouraging to get a new protocol and get your baby!!

Anton: You are so sweet and full of positive energy I could just fly over to Cyprus and hug you!! I love it. PMA-to the max! I will be sending positive energy your way for your results on Monday--even though you have plenty--extra good wishes and prayers never hurt.Image

Tiger: How are you? IUI today/tomorrow..Image Image

Longtimer: Let those embies snuggle in...I know that bedrest can be a pain, but it is for a great cause.Image

Hope/Ashley: Can't wait to hear results today!!!! I am very excited for you and DH to get first look at your little bean. :D Image

Deftonesmo: Great ER...can't wait for fert report. Rest up....ET here soon!!

Hopethisworks: So very sorry that you are having to deal with Beta Hell. I have been there and it is terrible. This rollercoaster of IVF really has the ups and downs. I am really sorry you are experiencing one of the downs. We are all here for you....Image

Samantha: How are you doing? Hanging in there? Image

NWQuiz: Don't hit Crazytown my friend....you are PUPO!! Stay positive...love the preggo dreams...keep them up!Image

Leora: Ok...you are definitely approaching the "Crazy-making" time in the 2ww...hang in there, my dear friend.( Sorry about that pineapple, btw!!) Your BFP is on its way...Image

Lyd: I have everything crossed for you. Congratulations on being pregnant--you are!!ImageHoping for a great rise in level on Monday.

AFM: Would you believe that my u/s results nor my E2 levels made it to my clinic yesterday!? What on earth. Of the 5 levels I had drawn, only 1 made it STAT the same day. Absolutely ridiculous. And those were from 4 different labs. BUT doesn't matter now because I am HERE in Southern California and went to my clinic HERE this morning for the first time. I really think my poor OBGYN tech was just dreadfully confused by the entire process...not sure she really knew what she was doing when she was measuring anyway. I could walk to my clinic from my hotel which is awesome! Even in the cloudy, misty rain. LOL. Here is what I am looking at from my new REs office results: Rt side:15,15,15,11,11 and several smaller. On my Left: 11,12,13,14 and 5or6<10. SO I guess I am looking at potentially 9 follies if they continue as they are? Not as awesome as I had hoped, but as long as I get 4-5 that become embies to transfer I will be happy I guess.

To all my IVF/IUI friends:

Carol: Wishing you amazing luck on this cycle!! Great AFC....come on good egg...you and I both need just one--let's get those follies growing!!!!Image (And I was rolling with your story, thanks for sharing!!  ...)

Tammy: Dancing like crazy for ya!Image

PS: I thought I was going to have to do my injections on the plane...after hearing a story on the radio about how germ-infested they are I wasn't too thrilled with it. Nurse called right before take-off to tell me ok to wait until I land (90 min late). Really glad I did because the turbulence was awful! Ugh...it would have been miserably difficult. So--instead I had the fun of feeling like a complete junkie in the LA airport taking my 3 injections standing by the baby changing station (no babies in sight). I didn't even look up so I wouldn't have to see the stares. It is frightening how efficient I am at these now. Even with the mixing and stinging menopur--I think I gave myself 3 injections in less than 3 minutes I think.

Shell (Justsolost) - sometimes it's nice to get away from the boards (and the obsessing!) for a few days. Welcome back. When is your beta? Do plan to do HPTs?

Tammy - thanks for 'thinking' of seeing a line. I just wish there was one there for real. If I look real close, I can see a line on anything, even ones I haven't peed on yet, even blank pieces of paper.... I guess I'm just seeing lines everywhere because I want one so badly!

Anton - no cinnamon buns, but we had 6 people for dinner tonight and I cooked up a feast! (including homemade bread and desserts!) 10 people coming for Saturday lunch tomorrow too! So I'm keeping busy while slowing going out of my mind.

nwquiz - you are definitely welcome to join us on Facebook! I hope that all the differences in this IUI cycle means that it will be different from the rest in a good way and bring your BFP!

LYD - I'm not despairing yet. I'm just annoyed. Why can't I be one of the ones who gets an early BFP? ugh. I hope your beta goes up and up and up and up! Also - I had a female RE - but I just switched to the another doctor in the same clinic (the head of the department. With our history, our case has gone from being 'routine' to being 'special' - ugh)

Carol - I know! I hate doing u/s when I have my period. It always makes such a mess. Too bad you had to have the hot RE intern see that! I hate the AF after a cycle fails. I always get these super super super heavy flows. I always get blood all over the bathroom and it looks like I've killed something! - at least everything is all clear and you can start tomorrow night!

Lou - I hope you can relax. I don't think the worrying ever ends after all people like us have been through to finally get pregnant. I really hope I get that second line as well....

longtime - I'm here! I'm in a different time zone, so I post at different times than y'all (I'm 7 hours ahead. I post usually when I wake up, which is 9am here and 2am EST). 5dpo is still too early hon! Sorry! I'm still getting BFNs at 10dpo... hopefully that second line will appear in a few days....

Rio - I'm really busy! Lots of company coming over to hang out. But now they are all gone and I'm going to bed.... I can't stop thinking about what if this is BFN....

Margi - Hello california girl! Now we are even further apart - west coast is 10 hours behind me! Oh well... I just have to wait longer for your updates. How annoying that your bw/us results didn't make it to CA! Can you get them sent now? How are things going with the stimming? What are you taking? --- also, I got the call from my nurse to take my ganirelix "RIGHT NOW" so that I could trigger later that day. I had my meds with me, but I was with a friend on the way to IKEA. I parked the car and took my shot right there, in the IKEA parking lot! My friend knew that I was taking injections, but she didn't expect me to just jump out and stick myself in the parking lot!

Ashley - how was the ultrasound?

AFM --- the BFNs on the HPTs are getting me down. I"ll probably POAS tomorrow as well. What if I'm still getting BFNS at 11, 12, 13, 14 dpo.... I guess I'll ask to go for a beta early (mine is scheduled for next Thursday, 16dpo). What if this cycle is BFN? Adopting, fostering and donor sperm are really not seemingly like such good options at this point. I really don't want to do a FET with my leftover frostie morla (who was worse quality than the 2 we transferred). So another fresh cycle? UGH. I can't handle that. I really really really neeeeeeed a BFP.

Oh well, off to bed. Maybe tomorrow morning will bring my BFP!

Well, we just got home from our ultrasound even though it was scheduled at 10:30, but we've been out gallivanting and celebrating because we have a bun in the oven!! :D We were lucky enough to even see a beautiful heartbeat flicker! RE said it was too early to measure, but she thinks it was around 90bpm, which she says is right on target at this time. As soon as she mentioned she saw a gestational sac, my immediate question was "in the right place?" lol. SOOO happy! DH and I went to our favorite restaurant (thai) to celebrate and then Borders afterwards so I could get my first "pregnancy journal" :D Oh, we are just thrilled!!

Margi- California Girl :) Grow follies Grow... :)

Longtimerivf- Congrats PUPO.... Why did you have to do Valium before ET??? Hope! So happy right now! Congratulations! Yay for your little fighter!

Leora - We changed it by one day cause it's St. Patricks day & we thought that was luckier! My RE is a great guy & has the same sense of humor I have so I said I expect to see you on ET day with a green hat and googly glasses on! I looked and I looked at your stick and I don't think I saw a line but with that being said I think it is way too early and you need to step away from the sticks and wait a few days...hun why are you driving yourself nuts when you said you never see a positive this early...just take a few days off and POAS on Monday or something...

Lou - Don't stress you are pregnant & you have a healthy bean, keep the positive thoughts coming in and just try to enjoy (I know easier said than done but try)

Margi - How is LA treating you lady! My old stomping grounds may it bring you all the happiness in the world as it did me :D

Shell - I agree I obsess about the boards I even check on my phone when I can't get to a computer - sometimes I just take a step back & stalk only....it is good to take a break and just think about something else for a change....

Carol - I hate to laugh at your story but seriously too funny! And of course it had to be a hot young RE! Of course it did!

Amanda - Welcome back I understand your need to stay away for a while....On my last failed cycle I too consulted a extremely well respected RE in the community who pioneered a lot the procedures we use today and he helped me to understand some things and when I went to my WTF appt I felt much better about it all and was able to ask the correct questions...etc....Good luck to you & I hope you get some clarity

Anton - We are all doing a baby dance for you this weekend (Me, DH & DD) Em loves to dance so I figured it can't hurt right? Anyways I just know that you will get your BFP this cycle......

LongtimerIVF - How you doing? I just read a great book called The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society it is a good story light with a little bit of drama but cute and will take you away for sure....Thanks for the article I enjoyed it

Tammy - Anything???

LYD - How you feeling has it sunk in yet?? Can't wait to hear your results on Monday. :P

AFM - Went for another estrogen blood test today & thank god it was up to 356! I am so happy the cancelled cycle it was only 225 so RE is very happy that it is so much higher and this cycle he is keeping me on estrogen for 17 days before I start progesterone and the canceled cycle was only 10 so 7 more days to grow my lining hope it does the trick! I decided to update my ticker to a pregnancy ticker anything to keep the PMA up! I need it I have a tendency to get down an I mean way down so anything that can help!! :P

Hope...CONGRATS!!! I knew it!! God bless you girlie!!

AFM--I am scheduled for my beta on 3/3...soooooooooooo far away. But I've confined myself to my room and I won't be leaving the house, if I can avoid it, for fear all paths will lead to the nearest HPT selling store. So visualize a woman in a straight jacket in a white padded room because that's how I'm feeling. Absolutely delirious I tell ya!

Good evening, Ladies!

Margie - welcome to california! i wish we had better weather for you. its supposed to rain all day tomorrow. yucks! but your arrangement sounds really nice - walking distance form the clinic, free wi-fi to post and go crazy with Dr. Google. what else can an IVF girl want :)

Carol - you are probably right about women not wanting to be REs so they dont have to look at those parts again :)

Longtimer - sometimes IVF just feels like one wait after another. someone else said that already a while back - but i believe its right on. and at the moment my DH is interviewing for jobs, so we are constantly waiting for something - either call back from his interviews or call backs from my doc. waiting, waiting, waiting.

Tammy - i hope that AF comes soon. I have a friend here who is waiting for one, too after a screwed up attempt and it is torture!! have you tried BDing? i believe it helps to shake things up in there.

Leora - i know you must be feeling pretty frustrated and angry - why do you have to be the "special" one? no thank you very much - average will do in this case just fine. i know, it must be frustrated as heck. i can only imagine - i havent been through half of what you've been. i hope hope hope and keep everything crossed for you that your BFP starts rounding the corner and show itself soon!!!! come on! come on! however, if you are the kind of person, that likes to have plan b,c, and d lined up right away ( like me!) then what do you think of donor sperm? although i understand that it is a big step! and it seems that David's sperm did deliver times two with the twins. So, what gives? maybe the "special" RE will have better tests and ideas for you. Wait, i have an idea - have you ever tried frozens? i remember you dont like doing them - but what if in your case your uterine environment is particularly sensitive to all the stims and you are much better off with the frozen, when the uterus is just perfect! Also, have you tried day 3 transfer - for some women that's the only one that works for some reason. Also, they might just have to get more aggressive with you - and put 3-4 in at day 3 - i bet you one of them will pull through! i am just rambling - but i cant help it - my brain just goes into problem solving mode. i just hate it when bad things happen to good people. Oh my gosh, almost forgot - you have to teach my how to cook! i am 39 and terrible at it. i've been single until 35, eating mostly "everything in a bowl" type of dinners. so now i am struggling. good thing my DH is a sweetheart and he pitches in! Have you thought about opening a coffee shop or a bakery? it is hard work - but i bet you would be awesome at it.

Katieb - i am glad your FET preparation is progressing nicely. I like your countdown ticker :)

AFM - i was in the store today and almost bought a 3 pack of no name early response tests - or maybe it was called "answer" or something like that - but then they were $12 and i didnt know if they would work properly and i thought i'll know on monday anyway and what else i could buy with $12 -like a bottle of wine and a tub of icecream. so anyway i walked away.

for some reason i am, for the moment at least, done obsessing over this and am instead obsessing over work. there is a good chance i'll have to fly to Philippines for business trip in 2nd half of March. my boss has been accommodating about my schedule but he keeps asking me - when can you travel again - and i told him 2nd half of march. i guess next week i'll know more - but i think i should be ok. it's just a quick trip for a meeting - there and back. i'll drink lots of water on the plane - and will go straight to the hotel on arrival, then straight to the meeting and back to the hotel. i think i'll have like 2 meetings there. so if i leave on monday, i should be back by thursday. i'll know more next week.

Ashley - woohoo! YAY! Congrats! Enjoy being pregnant!

Kynlee - wow, 2 SIL - one is pregnant and one is TTC? That must be really hard. In some ways I'm a bit lucky. My DH has one brother who isn't married and I have 2 brothers and 1 sister, but all are younger than me and definitely not TTC. phew. I hope you get pregnant this cycle and join them in their pregnancies. March starts this week!

Katie - aha! St. Patrick's Day! Of all things :D That's too funny! - congrats on your e2 getting so high!

deftonesmo - 3 fertilized is great! Will you transfer all 3? Good luck on Sunday!

Shell (justsolost) - my beta is ALSO 3.3! Hopefully it will be a good day for all

LYD - thanks, but we have considered all those things. I've done both 3 and 5 day transfers. My doctor will never transfer more than 2 (and really pushes for me to transfer 1) because of my history conceiving twins. Donor sperm (and IUI) is an option, but sperm banks are severely limited here (for stupid religious reasons) and the next appt we could get (luckily, because there was a cancellation) is MAY 2! We've done 3 FETs... all of which were BFN. I've gotten 2nd and 3rd opinions on my FET protocol because I thought maybe my clinic was doing something wrong.... nope - just luck of the draw..... UGH. No idea why all this shit is happening to us....

AFM - another f*cking BFN on the HPT. At what point do I stop saying "oh maybe it's too early" and just try to accept that it's BFN? I'm so frustrated. I really don't want to do a FET with my single (worse quality) morla that we have. I really will push to do another fresh cycle.... so.... April cycle buddies? F*CK! --- wait, never mind, I doubt they will let me cycle in April because of the Passover break (the way that some clinics in the USA don't let you cycle over Xmas and New Years because they close for the holidays). UGGGGGHHHHHHHH!

(or do you see the magical disappearing line that I do? http://canyouseealine.com/view_home_pre ... stID=10717)

Another pee stick tomorrow morning.....
