I know you said this is your first time- which I know is beyond overwhelming, scary, nerve racking....etc etc. We are all here if you need to talk or vent. Since this is your first time how long have you all been trying and do they know why things werent working naturally? I will be exactly 1 week behind you so hopefully we both end with some good news this cycle. Good luck.

Jcoope- Welcome! Everyone here is super supportive and like a big "IVF family". The emotional roller coaster will probably only get worse, so it's great to have people to talk/vent/rant/celebrate with. I look forward to hearing more about you in the coming weeks.

MamaBoo- I'm looking forward to the 2ww myself. Just can't wait to get past the ET stage and on to PUPO! Two more days, darn it! Good thing I have a lunch date with a friend tomorrow to distract myself for awhile. Wouldn't it be great if they developed a microscope with a real time camera that stayed focused on the embies and broadcast them online? Then you could check in on them to see what they were doing. Of course then I'd never get anything done 'cause I'd be on the computer looking at them all the time! LOL!

Ok ladies. Super nervous that my beta is in less than 48 hours. Really waffling about POASing tomorrow??? DH says wait for the official test. Part of me wants to know and an hpt should be accurate now right? But I'm enjoying being PuPO and super worried about a BFN. I have no idea if it'll be a BFN or a BFP. I feel like my period is coming, cramping, bloated, but I've heard that could be a good sign. But after 16 years of ttc there's a bug part of me that just doesn't think that a BFP is even possible. Even though all the doctors said, do IVF and it'll work for you. Gods I hate this. ARGH!!! What to do. What to do???

On that note,I just wna let e'one know that I wont be doing a Beta#2. For what ever reason my RE didn't think one was necessary. I would've loved to have gotten one but it's all in Gods's hands now anyways. U/S is 3/10. Something new to be on the edge of of my seat for. Never a dull moment in the land of IVF. (feels like OZ)

Hi Blair,

Thanks for keeping up the list and asking where we are at. I'm expecting AF in the next couple of days. Then I call the clinic to plan the natural FET according to my normal cycle, no meds except for Prometrium right at the regular ovulation stage and low dose aspirin once AF comes. We have decided to only transfer one of our embies (have 2 in all)... Several weeks ago I posted re not having a postitive attitude and thinking that if I don't expect it to work, then I'll be less disapointed... Well, as I've read all the posts and push for a PMA I'm inclined to hop on this bus instead of my negative one... I feel inspired by everyone's attitude and love the PUPO concept... It's just so hard to hope... But then, that's all we have isn't it... So I should be ready for transfer sometime the 3rd week of March.. Can't wait.. and I admit that doing FET vs IVF is a relief to not have all the meds, secrets...and OHSS..

Hi everybody,
Thanks so much for the great welcome! I know my previous message was brief but I was squeezing it in between studying for my final.
We have been trying for 4 yrs and have had 2 fetal demises. Heartbeats stopped at 6 weeks both times. We started IUI's last summer and did 3 of them but DH sperm count was kind of low. My egg reserve is great but for some reason IUI just didnt take. Each cycle the body responded less to the Clomid. We are out of pocket payers so wesaid we might as well move to IVF. I am going to be 43 in March so I wanted to get a move on it! LOL We are using DE to prevent the chromosonal issues over 40. I am very excited and I was scared to DEATH to start the Lupron because of the horror stories about that drug but...............decided to proceed with protocol for a bundle of joy. So tonight I opened the box of syringes for my Del Estrogen and almost shat my pants! LOL They r huge and so is the Progesterone in oil syringes!! I am a nurse and the subQ was a piece of cake but I am going to have to have DH do these huge injections in my rear because I cant see back there lol.
Wow................I am in the US in Delaware. Are you all mostly in the US or the UK?
Have any of you had anything weird with the Lupron? RE wanted me on 20units but I said no way and I wanted to start with 10 units this round.

Good evening everyone!

Got the call this afternoon that my ET will be on Wednesday, 3/2 (day 5 transfer - technically one day behind, since my ER was on Thursday 2/24 - but they had to perform the rescue ICSI the following day, which pushed everything out)!!! Now to only make it through the next 3 days!

I did speak w/my doctor today regarding my symptoms and she definitely feels that I'm having issues w/OHSS. But, I am feeling slightly better today, than I was yesterday (thinking the Gatorade is definitely helping!). However, if things don't improve tomorrow, then I'll go in for an US to see where everything is at - but frankly, I'm so tired of people poking me with things! :S I know that should be the least of my worries, but I feel if one more person comes at me with a speculum, I may insert it in their nostril.

3 more days, just 3 more days.

Anyhow. Welcome to everyone new that just arrived today - and thanks to all the others that have offered up great advice and encouragement!

Good morning everyone,
I want to welcome everyone new and thank everyone for helping me get through this very difficult weekend. I am slightly better this morning. I say slightly, with much caution as I know the usual for me is to feel worse as the day goes by. Bad news is that I have not lost any weight. I am still 9 pounds over what I weighed prior to my ER. Good news, I haven't gained anymore weight. I am trying to look at the glass as half full. I am a tiny bit more optimistic this morning. I will be on my way to see my doctor in a little bit. They will do an u/s today to see how much fluid is still in my abdomen, the location of the fluid, and if there is any more fluid then there was on Friday. I will keep you all posted. Thank you again to everyone for your continued support. Sending lots of baby dust to all...

I tried to add that ticker this morning but cannot get it to calculate correctly. For some reason even though it says 6 days until I start, the lady bugs are already counted down to 1. Anyone know how to fix this or have suggestions?

Sorry to start the week off on a down note, but I broke down last night, held my pee for 6 hours and poased and it was negative. So many tears!!! I really had high hopes for this round. I know it's not over till I have the beta, but I'm pretty sure it shoulda showed by now. Not even a hint of a line. Beta is tomorrow. I wanted to have my DH here so that he could comfort me when I fell apart. And fall apart I did. I just want to crawl into a hole and hide.

We have 3 blasts frozen, so I guess it's onto those. Not sure how a FET cycle works. Do they wait for me to ovulate? Or do they use meds to stimulate me to?

Oh crappy day!
