Coculture: anyone familiar with the procedure? Ghost?

Post by margi26 »

We are two days away from ER!! My embryologist center stated that we will be doing a co-culture. I wasn't familiar with that procedure, but they say it can increase embryo quality and pregnancy rate. Anything that does that sounds good to me, but I was curious if other centers do it and if not, why not? Is it just the expense of it?

Thanks!!

Never heard of it, but the link posted is interesting. I have done some research on Cornell, who does a biopsy of the endo. lining prior to retrieval and uses that to grow embryos.

Good luck to you Margi!

There have been various kinds of co-culture. Most clinics don't use it, presumably because they don't think it has sufficient benefit, if any.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
