Caro- you are getting the blinkie thing straight. am right behind you girl. i will start using mine soon. As for the side effects of follistim some ppl say they do spot but did not affect me much. As far as follicles most doc will cancel you if you have more than 3 mature or give you the multiples talk first if you want to proceed. As for me this time i was dissapointed coz i was triggered at 2 mature and one behind and several lagging behind. so fingers crosses one of them was the golden egg.
Margi- Whoo hooo girl. Am happy for you. 12 eggs happy for you. now let those swimmers find there target. good luck. updates when you wake up.

Samantha – WHAT???? I don’t understand how none of your eggs made it freeze???? What was the embryologist doing?? Isn’t it his/her job to watch them and then freeze when they are optimal what did he just check out?? I don’t understand?? I am so sorry……My FET cycle I waited for AF then had a baseline (ultrasound/blood work), started estradial, more ultrasounds/blood work then when lining was ready started progesterone & transferred 5 days later…I think each protocol is different but this is pretty standard.

Amanda1979 – I will pray for you Mom…I am so happy that your RE is a rockstar & is giving you a free cycle – that is incredible….Congratulations

CJinNC – So sorry you feel icky…I hope you get to feeling better soon…..take care of yourself…

There are so many of us now so I forgot someone of you but it is only because I can't keep up with all the posts! But I am thinking & praying for each one of you each day and be the type of women that when you wake up each morning & your feet hit the floor the devil says uh oh shes up!



AFM – Had my second ultrasound/blood work today, lining is at 7.25 and estrogen is 440…RE is happy but mentioned that if it gets above 15 that we will cancel cycle again…so last time got canceled cause too thin but this might get canceled cause too thick?? I am so confused….he did say it was highly unlikely that it would grow that much in 10 days but if it did then we are SOL again grumble, grumble but he then told me he was confident this wouldn’t happen to me because my past history does not prove that it would…um OK….then he said oh and by the way I can’t do the transfer on the 17th because as it turns out I will be out that day….WTF…but one of my colleagues can do it and I am like um….yeah I am paying you an enormous amount of money for all this out of my own pocket when those embies get put in I want to see your face between my legs and no one else’s! So we compromised & changed it to the 16th….I am really trying to be flexible here but we aren’t just loaded & can take days off work & hire sitters when ever it suits them…..I know breathe Kt breathe but don’t they know they are working with hypersentive women on LOTS of hormones here!

Oh an one other thing to top my day off....after I had my appt my BFF and I went to get pedicures with her 6 month old son...she is 33 & I am 41 and her baby sorta looks like me blonde blue eyed (my friend is brown haired & dark hazel eyes) then the manicurists looks right at me and says what a cute grand baby you have!!!!!!!!!!!! So not only do I have a grand child but I have a 33 year old daughter!!! WTF......my friend could not stop laughing (it was funny) but she was laughing because everyone always thinks I am younger than her.....I still carded at the liquor store that I have shopped at for 10 years!!! UGH! REALLY!

Carol: Are you feeling better? Good luck with SnS tomorrow. Regarding # of follies, it is time to put your “I’m Tammy” hat on and advocate for yourself. To be blunt, at our age, there is no reason to disallow pretty much any number of follies to cancel a cycle. My clinic--when I was doing IUIs--talked about aiming for 3, no more than 5, but in reality, the more the better. Look at this article and use it as ammo if you need it. http://www.advancedfertility.com/revmultiplescoh.htm Chances of multiples over age 42 are VERY SLIM. But with more follies, your chances of pregnancy definitely increase. I pushed hard to get them to let me aim for 5 follies, and I only had 1 tube. As for me getting back home, I have already missed so much work because of this, and my boss is less than supportive, unfortunately. I will return two days after ET. Won’t know until Thursday if that will be Saturday or Monday for transfer (3dt versus 5ft). And pneumonia. Ugh. Take all your meds and take it easy.

Annashope[/color]: Thanks for the wellwishes! We are indeed enjoying LA, although on a much downscaled version given my inability to really paint the town with my giant ovaries. LOL. Went to Grammy Museum yesterday and ate a wonderful Brazilian steakhouse last night, Fogo de Chao. It was a splurge for us, but DH enjoyed the all you could steak served straight to the table. I ate off the all you can eat salad bar which was splended.

Samantha: So very sorry that you are going through this. Take care of yourself. Are you going in for an early beta just to be sure? Several women on here have had bleeding and still had a positive. I know that we often know our bodies best, but it wouldn’t hurt to double check. Lots of (((HUGS))) for you.

Nicole: Glad that you are having fun!!

Tiger: You doing ok? When is beta set for?

Kbillsy: So glad that you are back on track! And no, not strange to get AF during follie-growing time. I have had that before as well. Sometimes for several days.

AFM- Wow what a day I had with calling the pharmacy, I couldnt find a refill for my Lupron it was on back order... Then the 2nd pharmacy my coverage didnt cover then the 3rd pharmacy was taking me in circles cause they couldnt take the refill info from my original prescription from my Pharmacy they had to call my Dr office for a hour till they got in touch with someone needless to say I was stressed from 8 am til 6:30pm trying to figure out if it was coming tomorrow... Glad that is over with!!!! Just got finished watching American Idol and now going to lay down to get some sleep....

Leora - cant wait for your beta on thursday! as for exercise, i usually do spinning (cycling to music). its fun because its to music and in a group of folks so you can feed of each other's energy. while at the same time you can go at your own pace and set your own resistance. because it is so low impact i was able to spin till the day of my delivery with my previous pregnancy.

Katieb - that's frustrating about your doc. I am glad you were to make arrangements nevertheless.

Carol - good luck on your SnS tomorrow! i am glad you are feeling a little better with your respiratory infection.

Longtimer - good luck on your beta on monday!

Samantha - so sorry about your eggs not making it to freeze. are you sure? did the nurse confirm it? maybe its a miscommunication.

AFM, my DS was not quite himself tonight. i dont know if he skipped his nap at the daycare or got over excited by something, but poor thing just wouldnt stop crying all evening and was in one of those moods when he doesnt really know what he wants. so there is no way of pleasing him. he finally went down a few minutes ago. hopefully he will rest up for tomorrow and be back to his old self. And as it happens my DH is at a networking event this evening, so it was just me and DS and it was rough going for a few hours.

i think i am ready for my wednesday night of Top Chef, Survivor and Modern Family.

Katie - 7mm lining sounds great. You are totally on track for your FET in 2 weeks. I'm surprised they scheduled the date so far in advance. Usually, my clinic waits until my lining is great and then schedules my FET for a few days later (while I start progesterone).

Kynlee - wow. Pharmacies can be really annoying. Sometimes, dealing with the insurance is worse than the injections themselves!

LYD - you sound like my kinda lady! Top Chef and Modern Family are two of my favorite shows! Enjoy them!

AFM - no pee stick this morning. I figured it was a waste. I just got the call back from the clinic -- at 11dp5dt (16dpo/4w2d pregnant), my beta is 200! yay! With my last two pregnancies, I had my betas done a day later, and the results were 450 (twins) and 350 (singleton). So 200 seems a bit low to me, but I'm sure it's just fine. No more betas for me, but I go in one week for my first u/s (5w2d)! I can't wait!

AFM- I am going to my RE as soon as sent this post to do my the first shot. Even though I told him I did another 4 IVF's !and so I know how to give me an injection! he insisted that I go in today to show me how to put at least the Omnitrope. its a tricky one he said... Is not in the form of pen. they wouldn't give me one (pen) at the hospital b/c it wasn't written in the RE prescription. Oh well. By the way, neither the Follistim is in the form of pen. its just vials and I will have to use syringes to get it and inject it on my tammy. I am so excited I am starting stims today! yey! since i havent started yesterday, I cant have the u/s appt tommorow Friday, I am gonna have to move it to Saturday. I hope there's no problem with that. I am guessing my ER will be on the 14th but it all depends on my response to meds. I will know better the date after I have my first u/s and monitor my follies.
