Leora - I'm hoping for 11/11, too! Ha ha! My birthday is also on 11/3, so that would be neat. My beta #2 was 192. I'm thinking that's good because that was really supposed to be my first beta. But because I got OHSS, they did the first beta early. Congrats on your beta, too!

Can someone explain what some of the terminology means, such as "17dpo" and "5w2d" and "8dp5dt"? I think I can figure out the first two, but I'm stumped on the last one.

I'm going in tomorrow to be drained again. I can't wait to feel the relief that it will bring.

Is anyone out there a runner, and if so, is it safe to run when you're pregnant? I've read mixed responses online about that. I know I can't run right now anyway, but as soon as this OHSS passes, I really want to get back into it.

Annas -- Glad your BFF was happy for you. You deserve it.

Hopeisall-- My energy is definitely down from my baseline for sure. I was never one to sit down before. My good friends are trainers and own a gym that's only a mile from my house. So I go there a lot after work. I also am a member of Lifetime Fitness. There's one of those right by my work and another one less than 2 miles from home. I'd rather work out than sit home on the couch and get bored watching TV. Since my BFP, I've only been working out twice a week but I'm dying to step it up a bit. We shall see.

Leora -- Congrats again mama! Great beta number. I don't think you need to worry at all.

timber -- 17 dpo is 17 days post ovulation, 5w2d is 5 weeks 2 days, and 8dp5dt is 8 days post 5 day transfer. You'll catch on, no worries! Sorry you're still feeling so bad and needing "draining".... that sounds so miserable. Talk to your OB first, but yes, from what I've researched, it's safe to run in pregnancy IF you were doing it BEFORE you were pregnant. Me, personally, I am not going to run although I'm used to running about 15 miles a week. My RE recommended lower impact activities. So I'm going to elliptical, stationary bike, light weights, and tennis doubles as my workouts.

AFM -- Having some cramping I hope are just "growing pains". Feels like poking, stabbing. It's mild and only comes every 5-30 mins or so. I'm also having a lot of lower back tightness and pain. I've already got two herniated discs I'm dealing with and now it's just about unbearable. I don't know what I can do about it. Ugh!

Leora - CONGRATS!!! I'm so very happy for you! Your November rainbow baby is officially on the way!

Rio - Yay for a great echo! I was starting to worry a bit not hearing from you, but that's all I do anymore is worry myself to death...

Lou - I remember noticing every single little twinge and cramp when my SCHs were a problem. I found drinking tons of water definitely helped with the cramping. I'm sure you know this already, but dehydration can irritate your uterus especially when it's already dealing with the irritation from the clot. So, drink up, mama!

afm - My appt went well yesterday... mostly. I started feeling really awful within the first few minutes of my sono. The tech noticed right away and though I was trying to "tough" through it, she made my lay on my left side and put a cold cloth on my head. Apparently, the weight of the boys was right on some artery (common, she said, especially with twins) and I was literally about to pass out from lack of blood to my head.

The boys looked great! Weighing in at 1 lb 5 oz and 1 lb 4 oz with heartrates of 150 and 142.

My official doctor's office scale weight gain is 16 lbs so far, which my OB seemed very satisfied with. Also, she and I had a much better connection this time. I decided going in that if she could genuinely make me feel better about the things I'm concerned about, then I would keep her. And she did. I wasn't made to feel like an ass when almost all my questions started off with "I read online..." or "My forum friends..."   She was very patient and explained everything.

We also learned that the boys haven't changed position at all. Jaxon is vertex and Brady is breech. Which means I'm going to have to watch the video I got from the hospital about C-section delivery because Brady is presenting and my OB is pretty sure he isn't going to flip around... :( Of this entire experience, being a first time IVFer, carrying twins, etc, etc, I was really hoping to get to do just one thing I was familiar with... but, apparently a vaginal delivery is looking more and more out of the question for us... Oh well, I guess I will be able to check that off of my list of life experiences!

Everyone enjoy their lovely Thursday! The weekend's right around the corner!!!

Leora - I woke up EARLY this morning to check on your results and was so happy and relieved to hear your awesome beta!! I was checking it on my phone when DH woke up and said "shouldn't you be sleeping? You wake up so early and then go to sleep when I get home from work." aww, poor baby feels neglected, lol. So I put the phone away and "went back to sleep." :P But really, soooo happy for you and David!!

Rio - Congrats on the great results!! Yeah!!

Lou - I am sure those are just some growing pains. So sorry to hear about your back pain, though. I recently started getting dull back pains. Well, I realized it last night while I was bending down to get food out of the oven. Try to take it easy. When is your next U/S scheduled?

Stephanie: Our baby was breech at 18 weeks and the OB said that she'll move later in the pregnancy. From her kicks, she's head down now. Is it because there are two babies that makes your breech baby unlikely to flip?

Leora: Congrats! 200 is a fine beta.

Leora - I love Daphne! HUGE CONGRATULATIONS ON AN AWESOME BETA!!!!!!!! I KNEW IT!!!!!!!

Nancy - congratulations and welcome! I will be 40 in a few days and running after a toddler boy :) Sorry about your twins

crissy love - welcome! I had late onset OHSS too when I got hcg in my blood I balooned up and gained 11 lbs suddenly, it was hard to walk, breathe. I drank tons of Gatorade, salty foods, V8 and slept upright. MOst of it went away in two weeks but for it to all go away took 4 weeks, sorry, it is very slow and painful. I never got drained. Hope you feel better soon! The more HCG in your blood the more you get OHSS, it was miserable and I truly am sorry. My E2 level at beta was over 3000.

Ryann - yeay for eating and feeling better!

Ashley I used my OB I had for 8 years, I would not even know how to pick one now, super good luck. Ask about availability and who will cover for him if he is gone. My OB gives you his personal cell.

Stephanie - pictures of the boys? Awesome apt!!!

timber - sorry for your OHSS, it is terrible. Hope you feel better soon!

Lou - thanks for your answer on the allergies! I appreciate it! I had to do this cause of my GD. This is when you will be most tired, I used to fall asleep anywhere - anytime they say it takes more out of your body than running a marathon! I think it is great you are working out but I would say to take it easy. My OB likes walking at good speed but absolutely no impact exercises. Also remember your ovaries are swollen and can twist. Mine are still swollen even after 17 weeks since stimming! So I would take it easy a bit and let your body run that marathon...

Annas - glad your firend was so happy! Are you still on bedrest?

Saw so many rainbows on the way to echo yesterday I knew it was a good sign, she is also breech like our son was to the end, and I had a c-sec! So baby girl has been kicking me a ton, I love it! All is well and we are so happy!

Hi Ladies,

thanks for the warm welcome! And I truly wish you all the best for the weeks/months to come.

About OHSS: I had moderate OHSS and looked like a 5 month pregnant woman as soon as I was pregnant. And honestly, I never knew when the swelling went down or if it did because I was told that it takes several weeks for it to subside and by that time, I don't know if my bump was natural or a residual OHSS. That being said, one of the main sypmtoms was having a hard time breathing. And being a dentist and having to bend down all the time to work on patients, you can imagine how much fun that was!

I lost one of my twins at week 6 and I think that took my mind off the OHSS. I was so focussed on praying for twin B to hang in there, and it did that even the breating problem stopped bothering me. The power of the mind...

It's really fun to see how you are all at a different stage which is great because the "newbies" can get good info for the more "senior" members. Although I have one baby already, I have forgotten what 1st trimester tiredness felt like.

Right now my peanut is taking a nap so I grabbed the opportunity to check the board although I should be napping.

Take care everyone,
Nancy

Hi everyone!!!! Please add me as I would love to join. My due date is Oct. 4.
I have been reading the combined group and of course winter 2010/2011 IVF boards but have not been posting. I was too worried and stressed! I stopped having pregnancy symptoms a few days ago. My boobs stopped aching and I was only waking up 2-3 times at night to pee instead of 5-6. i stopped getting nauseas and spotted a little here and there. So I was really scared. But I went for u/s today....we lost twin B but the baby is 9w1d which is perfect and had a heart beat of 175!!!! I got released to my OB today!! I have type 2 diabetes so I had to meet with my endocronlogist today as well...my a1c was 5.1 which is flipping incredible!!! So I am back on board and super excited.

Hi ladies!

I'd love to join the combined group, but it appears I'd be the furthest along; 33 weeks with b/g twins :) I was apart of the summer ivf cycles and remember a few of you, so very glad to see you on this side. This pregnancy has definitely given me a run for my money, but I'm almost there and can't wait. My boy is butt down and my girl is transverse, so it's looking like a c-section on 4/4/11 unless they decide to cooperate with me and put those heads down. :) I'm currently on modified bed rest for the remainder and trying not to lose my marbles, hehe.

I need an updated somewhat belly shot, but this is me at my baby shower @ 28 weeks. My signature pic is 23wks

krcaja - Sorry about your twin, looks like unfortunately we have that in common, we lost a twin also but baby girl is 19 weeks and super healthy. I have gestational diabetes now so we have that to deal with on top of everything, great A1C! Mine was 5.4 today from 5.2 last month so they upped my insulin :( Hope all is well with you!

hi ladies, i would love to join you here! i know many of you from over the years... and cycled with many of you back in the fall when i had my chemical from FET, and here i am .... i was awaiting my next IVF, hanging out on dhea, and got freakishly naturally PG- hola miracles.. never thought that'd happen to me or ANY of us actually..

so although i didn't do ART to get here this time, it's been so nice to be welcomed back to this site with open arms... please let me know if anyone feels weird about me being here given i didn't have to do the same journey this time..

anyways, i'm almost 12 wks pregnant and counting down the seconds til this first tri is OVER. i can hardly take the anxiety.. so another 10 days, and i'll feel free to celebrate!

i'm about to start my days off and looking forward to catching up/ connecting personally with everyone here.

I am in my 8th week of a twin pregnancy, so early days yet, our due date is the 20 Oct 2011. We saw their heartbeats on the 2 Mar and they were measuring 7 weeks and 5 days, we have a next scan on the 16 Mar. Morning sickness is driving me mad, Its worse in the morning and evening, my boobs are sore as hell and when I am home, I love my afternoon nap (due one now).
