Hello ladies!!! I have been stalking quitely and afraid to post!!! First of all...

Margi- CONGRATS!! 10 is awesome!!! You are surely going to be bringing home fragile cargo!!! I cant wait to read your BFP!!!

Leora-CONGRATS!!!!!!!! I am so excited for you beyond words!!! This is soooo it!!! I cant wait to compare preggo stories!!! Your time on the bus is here!! You will make this looonnnggg bus ride and get off with a beautiful baby!!

Anton- YIPEE!!!!! not long now!! i will be stalking you every step of the way!!! This is your time too!! You have definitely gone through some major hoops even for ivf!! We will all be soo excited for your BFP! Im going to have to learn how to do blinkies just for your BFP!

Nwquiz-how are you feeling? Are you starting to see and hear things yet? I swear I think the 2ww is a psych test to see if you will truly go crazy!

Tammy- How are you doing? I have been thinking of you alot!! You are in my prayers and I am hoping that this time the drs will figure things out. How long until you get the results back from genetic testing?

Qita-I am real sorry about your delay!! Are you going to wait until you go back to London to start again?

Tiger- I am praying and thinking of you too!!!!!

AFM- I have been reading the combined group and of course winter 2010/2011 IVF boards but have not been posting. I was too worried and stressed! I stopped having pregnancy symptoms a few days ago. My boobs stopped aching and I was only waking up 2-3 times at night to pee instead of 5-6. I stopped getting nauseas and spotted a little here and there. So I was really scared. But I went for u/s today....we lost twin B but the other baby is 9w1d which is perfect and had a heart beat of 175!!!! I got released to my OB today!! I have type 2 diabetes so I had to meet with my endocronlogist today as well...my a1c was 5.1 which is flipping incredible!!! So I am back on board and super excited.

Hi everyone! :D

Hope everybody is doing great today and enjoy being alive! :D

Tiger- You should be definatelly considering changing clinics! This is outrageous!! I am SO sorry for you my friend! I am pissed of over your clinic! You are not just a number and you shouldn't be treated like one! Maybe doctors/clinics should focus on people and deal with less cases everyday and do an excellent job rather than seeing so many that they loose control over a case and the human approach! This is shouldn't be a mass production for them! and making money is all they think than the patient its self! And having the courtesy to remember the patient history is absolutely part of their training!!! IVF is a high emotional and financial procedure and the clinic that is treating you (and everyone of us) is Oblidged to respect and show the appropriate curtesy to your situation! Talk to your RE IN PERSON and demand answers! I would definatelly do that and also ask for 2nd and 3rd opinion! This is your body and your money and your life! Its time to take control over it honey! My prayers are with you! Everything will be fine! Be strong and have patience! :) Image

Sunshine- Glad your surgery went well ! :D Take a good rest and I wish you a quick recovery! :) When I had mine it took me about a week to be able to start walking straight and my belly was SOooo bloated I looked like a 4 month pregnant! But all good 2 weeks after that! :D Image

Katieb- Lackadaisical?! not at all my friend! Quite the opposite! I am very into my shots and excited about having them! I really enjoy my junky moments! I hate needles in general but I just love the IVF ones! Definatelly because of the purpose of having them! :) Before starting IVF I never had an operation or injection, never went to a hospital and I probably went to the pathologist 3-4 times in all my 37 years of age! :D ...OK! I confess I did went to my OB for my pap test! ...With IVF is like I am doing all the drugs and needles I 've been missing all these years! Boy! its SO worth it though! :D Image

Deftonesmo- Thank God the headache doesn't stay forever!!!!..I will see today how it goes after I do my shot! :) ...Hey you! hang in there! is too early to POAS!! Step away from the sticks!!!! Image

Amanda- I am So glad everything went great wth your mom's surgery!! :D Give her a ((hug)) and hope she gets well soon! :) Image

Kraja- I am so sorry about twin baby B but I am SO happy about baby A! :) The baby is perfect and this is all that matters! :D ...That is SO sweet what you've told me on your previous post! and please feel free to stallk me! ...I will be waiting for my blinky!!! :D Image

Rio- I would definately love to give you my BFP for a BDA gift!! & I will do my best! :D I have allready saved your BDA in my mobile calendar! :D and I am pretty sure you baby girl will bring lots and lots of super baby dust to this board! ...You asked me about the names we have chosen, well, we have a tradition in my country that the first boy born is taking the name of DH father. this is out of respect and also so that the family name pass from generation to generation. (name and surname of the great great great grandfather) Also a lot of people choose the name of their mothers if its a girl (both DH and DW) But at the end is all up to the couple to decide whatever name they want for their children. And it definatelly depends on the relationship we all have with our parents and family. We happen to have a very close and loving family relationship on both my side and my DH side. My DH father passed away when my DH was at the age of 10-11 but he happen to have the same name as my father so if baby A is a boy then is ANDREAS (you call it also Andrew but we like Andreas) If it's twin boys then baby B will be named either RENOS (my mom's name is Irini = means peace in greek) or ARI, no one in the family is named after that we just love the name! Now if baby A is a girl then is CHLOE (my MIL is Chloe and i love her and the name!) If twin girls then Baby B is going to be ISABELLA. Is not in the family we just love that name. Bella = means beautifull in Italian. My DH is hoping for twin girls! This is his dream! Chloe and Isabella. As long as they are healthy I dont mind at all! :D ...But first of all!! I need to get pregnant! and I am working on it full speed!!!
Image

Boy! when I start talking I never stop!!! I am SORRY for taking all this space on the board!... I guess the idea of having a baby/babies is overwhelming! and I get SO easily get carried away talking about them... :D Back to reality now!...I am on day 2 of stims!!! And 1 day closer having our miracle baby/babies! yeay!!! :D :D

Baby dust to all of us!!

Anton- Looks like Katie, You and me will be 2ww buddys :) I got horrible headaches with Follistim, I am not looking forward to starting follistim tonight, I got my tylenol a ice pack ready :)

Tiger- so sorry your clinic is treating you this way, I would look for another clinic... You are paying to much money to have people not know your chart... That Nurse obviously doesnt read before she see's a patient... Mention that to the Dr he should have a talk with his staff... Ill be praying things go good at your WTF appt...

Katie- Thanks that so sweet I would have took it if my Lupron didnt come yesterday but it did thank god :) I start stis tonight :) Yay for stims :)

Amanda- glad your Moms surgery went well, Ill keep her in my prayers

AFM- Stims start tonight, YAY!!!! :)

Anton - I guess when I read your post I realized I was sorta 'looking' forward to them too.....of course I hated them & was totally worked up with each injection but like you said with each one you are that much closer to making your miracle baby! This is it for us! This is the time! I literally don't know if I have it in me again.....told DH that if this doesn't work I don't know if I can take the heart ache again.......so this might be it for us........so it is in god's hands now. :|

Sweetpea - congrats on AF!!! ready to start!!!

Tiger - not sure where you are... but I'm sure that you can talk to your RE to get better personalized treatment... and if he can't give you that... maybe you should consider another clinic... there are wonderful people out there and you deserve them!!!

Amanda - glad your mom is better!!!

Anton - this will be my 40th birthday hard to believe since I don't feel 40 and hopefully don't look it! So if your beta falls on my b-day I was thinking a number around 400 would be great :) and guess what, you can sort of name your firstborn after me too ;) my name is Andrea!!! Wouldn't that all just be super!!!! :) Interesting because I was doing some genealogy digging in my spare time which is close to zero, I am 1/2 Scottish (yeah 1/2 Scottish and 1/2 German born in Rio!!!) so the custom there is to name first son after the paternal grandfather, 2nd son after the maternal grandfather, 1st daughter after the maternal grandmother and 2nd daughter after the paternal grandmother. Of course then people had 8 children or so. It really is fascinating. I can track my German ancestors to the 1500s in Germany and same for Scottish. Anyway, I love your name choices and cannot wait for my Bday gift :) I will be praying for a wonderful BFP for you! BTW I love your posts and you are very interesting so please do not cut them short!!!!

deftones Alright I will confess I am a closet non POAS diva... I waited for my betas on cycle 1 and 2, then cycle 3 I got so sick with late OHSS that I POASed to see if it was a good sing, but I also like getting the true confirmation since HPTs can be little liars!

Nwquiz - you are way too early dear!!!

longtimer yeah what the heck is with this work thing getting in the way of the boards, happens to me too, my boss actually wants me to get somethig done while checking on my girls? Geesh the nerve! If they are white as snow you blame the stupid manufacturer for making a broken stick and you keep your PMA because you can have a positive beta!!!!!!!!!!

Kat - yeay for AF!

Kynlee - I am so excited for you to start stimms tonight!!!! This will be your big BFP!!!

Margi praying all your embryos are gorgeous and growing and perfect for tomorrow's call!!!!

Argh back to work with me!

Krcaja- Am okay thanks for asking. Wish I could say am perfect with a BFP. Sorry for your loss. Its hard but at least you have a strong fighter in there.
Katieb- I heard about that tale to. So am with you it’s a girl for her.
Anton- Girl you seem so excited shooting up some drugs. Lool let those follies grow so you get the twins.
Kynlee- Enjoy stimming aways and let those folies begin to wake up and grow.
Sweatpea-Yaaah for AF. Now let the show begin and let those follies wake up and start growing. Gosh you even know the time AF started. Girl you must have been awake in the middle of the night waiting.
Longtime- AM so scared to test again coz I don’t want to see snow white. I have no symptoms I can really say I have. Might be I saw a blue line or two on my boobs or it was just me wanting to see them. So I might join your club of no poas but I know am wont be faithful coz it sucks waiting in limbo like this. How about lets poas tomorrow together???
Deftonesmo- Girl if you have a weak pma don’t do it. But maybe just a little for the girls on the board like me poas pushers then we chicken out? Hahahaa lets do it girl.
Those I left out you are not forgotten. Have a blessed weekend and bring on the BFP or let those follies grow to bring you closer to 2ww torture.

Katieb – Thanks so much. I really wish that my clinic was like that too. The impossible decision is that I have called other clinics, and they don’t really assign nurses either, so I’m nervous that if I change clinics that I won’t get anything different. But, you’re right, I do deserve better. So many of us do. It’s just such a challenging road. How are you doing?

Deftonesmo- congrats on making it through 1 week of the 2ww!

Rio-Thank you! I did get tested and I am fine…however, today, during my WTF, she thinks that I might have PCOS. My AFC have always been really high. So, maybe I am not okay?

Kat – how fun that you have a kitten! That is the best stage! They have so much energy.

Amanda – I’m so glad that your mom’s surgery went well! So much to be thankful for!

Krcaja – I’m so very sorry that you lost Twin B…terrible…I hope you are keeping up your PMA and how exciting that you have one healthy little baby in there! Enjoy it!

Anton – thank you for being angry with me! It feels good to have people on my side! Congrats on stimming…you’re almost there now!

Kynlee – thanks for your support, friend. YEAH for poking needles!!!

Lou – thanks for the PM…I am running to the airport, but am anxious to write you back!

AFM: So, the appointment went okay this morning. I did feel like I was able to address things. So, she thinks that 4 great cycles of IUI is a perfect start and she really wants us to consider IVF. She said that everything was done great and she isn’t sure that just continuing on is going to be a positive result. There could be transportation issues from when the egg releases and they don’t have control over that. She also mentioned that it looks like I may have slight PCOS. My AFC is really high and that is a symptom of PCOS. So, DH and I have a lot to talk about, but now I am thinking maybe IVF. Do you think I should do one more cycle?

I also addressed the nurse situation. She understood and asked if I would feel comfortable speaking to the lead nurse about it. Which I am. She did push for primary care nurses (more one on one) and agreed to look into it.

Overall, I feel good about it. It was nice to just review everything and speak with her about it. I don’t know what we are going to do now. Lots to think about.

Leaving for a weekend to Chicago! Talk to you all on Monday! Have a wonderful weekend!

Dear Ladies

Apologies for the radio silence... has been a tough week as Sunday's bad news seemed to really hit me hard, unfortunately not helped by Fraser being away. I've been a total muppet this week and have hardly been over the door step or spoken with anyone but tomorrow's a new day. Fraser's back tomorrow night- can't wait :D

Thanks to those of you who've posted kind messages asking after me- that means a lot. I haven't been on the board really so don't know where everyone is at the moment but sincerely wishing all of you loads of baby dust. I'll catch up again now I'm feeling less wrecked.

I have been trying to keep myself occupied this week by sewing like a woman possessed.... even made a cushion for our cat, Qita (hence username). Tried to attach some pics but were told they're too big. Ah well, take it from me Qita's happy. We picked him up from the streets when he was a kitten and he's certainly landed on his feet!

I'm on Duphaston until next Wednesday and understand my AF should arrive a few days after. Undecided what to do and it looks like DH's transfer back to London may kick in sooner than we expected as the guys back there want him to start 1 May. Exciting stuff despite the, not insignificant, logistical issues involved. Still in negotiations but maybe this all means we're supposed to wait until we're back home in London nearer our loved ones and just somewhere where we're generally more comfortable (although we love Dubai the IVF experience here has I think been stranger than that I would get back home). Not sure yet.

Thanks so much to you all who've been thinking of me and sincere apologies for lack of personals.

Masses of sprinklings of baby dust to all of you out there :)

Mairi Anne

Tiger- Glad you are feeling better and was able to talk things out with your doctor. I don't know much about PCOS but it seems a lot of woman who have it end up doing IVF. If you can afford to do IVF or IVF is covered under your insurance I personally would opt for IVF at this point. Good luck though with whatever you decide. It's a lot to think about since IVF is no walk in the park. Have a blast in Chicago!!!

Mairi Anne- So sorry you are having a rough time. Thsi journey has been a rough one for a lot of us. ((Big Hugs))

AFM: Blood work and start Lupron on March 25th. I'll be PUPO mid April :)

Have a great weekend everyone. I have a pretty busy one. Drinks and dinner with my gf tonight and Mani and pedi saturday along with shopping. I also have a friends baby baptism to go to on Sunday and we have to sit through a mass that's all in Polish :( The DH will have to translate for me because I'll be so aggrivated.
