Natural Cycle FET

Post by Hope644 »

Anyone want to share their experience with natural cycle FET if you've had it? We have frozen embies and we are struggling with whether or not to try again. I am fully aware of the other options, including regular FET, and embryo donation/adoption... but I cannot and will not allow my embies to be given up for research or allow to thaw & arrest. Just hoping to talk with someone that has gone through NC FET and find out the details, estimates of cost, and success ...?

I'm interested in hearing the responses as well. We have 4 kids and are struggling with the same thing. I thought FOR SURE we would donate for adoption, but now we may use them. Not sure and won't decide (most likely) until the twins are a year old.

Is there anyone out there that has done natural cycle FET? I didn't think it was that uncommon...... maybe I was mistaken?

Hello,

I have not had a natural cycle of FET, but I do know that there isn't a lot of "traffic" over here on this part of the board. You have a much better chance getting some responses if you repost this under IVF.

Best of luck whatever you decide to do!!!

Ditto Margi on posting in the IVF section. Lots more traffic there

We are currently in 2ww for an FET but we didn't do natural. We thought about it but the price difference wasn't worth it to us. My RE doesn't recommend them but will do them if that's really what the couple wants. I didn't ask more questions. We are both older and wanted to go with RE's recommendation.

How wonderful you have embies left. I wish we had more.

Hope - I did a natural FET last year and had two of our frozen embies transferred and ended up pregnant. Unfortunately didn't go to full term due to the baby having unsurvivable abnormalities. We later found out that DH and I are both carriers of a genetic syndrome. Anyway, that aside. The natural FET was easy as - transfer embies during your natural cycle. The cost was probably 1/10 of a normal IVF cycle. My RE recommended natural FET because I have a very normal cycle. If you are irregular, then may not be the best option. Would definitely recommend otherwise - much less of an emotional and financial burden.
