I think its all over......

Post by Allison »

Hi girls,

For those of you who remember me I tested positive a week and a half ago following a donor egg cycle. I have a scan booked for this Friday. I have been really excited although trying to keep a lid on it - after all it is early days and I know that lots can go wrong. It now seems like it has all gone wrong.

On Monday I had pains all day and I started bleeding late at night. My DH wasnt there (He works shifts and was on nights) and I was so frantic I called the clinic emergency no. They said they think I am miscarrying but that I should rest a lot and wait until Friday scan for confirmation. I have stopped bleeding now but still feel very achy. DH keeps telling me there is still a chance but I really feel it is all over again. Maybe someone up there is telling me to stop!

I know lots of people suffer bleeding in early pregnancy and that it can then go either way but is that usually accompanied by pain? I really need to hear some good news to convince me that it is not necessarily all over. Does anyone know of someone that this happened to who still went on to have a baby?

Love Allison.

Oh Allison :(

No, no, no, I am so sorry. I do believe that it may not all be over just yet and you have to try to be positive which is easier said than done. The only explanation is that it could have been twins and one of them has not made it. I can't remember how many embies you had put back, one or two? Some girls have had some major bleeds. I had quite a few and thought that was it 'Game over'. I have to admit I didn't have cramping but sometimes I had sharp stabbing pains.

It will be a long wait till Friday and I will be crossing everything that it is OK.

Take care Allison, I am sorry you have to go through this.

Oh Allison, I am so sorry you are going through this. :( I can't answer your question because this is my first treatment but you have to cling to the hope that it is not over. Stay positive and look after yourself in case. Can they not bring forward your scan to make sure the sac is there even if they won't see a heartbeat yet?

Thinking of you with fingers crossed.

Best wishes

Allison just read your post and I'm wishing you all the luck in the world. I know several women who have had dramatic bleeds to go on and have normal pregnancies so it most deffinately isn't over you just need to rest and try not to stress. Will be looking for your post on friday. thinking of you.

Allison - poor you- how scary
My clinic has said that MOST women bleed at some point. And I think lots of people bleed about when their AF is due anyway.
Don't worry - I think thats its stopped is surely a good thing
Really keeping everything crossed for you

Allison,

Please, please try and keep positive - believe me, I'm thinking pot, kettke and black here, but it doesn't necessarily mean the worst.

As Tracey said, I bled loads - with sometimes very bad cramps, clots, brown bleeding, red bleeding...There are many, many reasons for this - just think of the changes your body is hopefully going through, never mind what it's been through to get to this stage.

I wish you loads of luck.

Thanks to everyone who has given me support over the the last few days and previously.
