I'm posting a pic of my kiddos. I know they one is a blast because my clinic wouldn't transfer it if it wasnt, they are picky, i don't know if its an expanded blasts. The second embryo other a hatching blast you can see it spewing out of the shell. i tried to look up info on the internet but couldn't really find much. all kinds of info can drive me insane. I don't know what grades they are either. though of asking but figured if it was bad new then i would lose PMA.

oh and someone told me that they when doing the CGH testing they look a little different because they had to take a cell out on day 3.

FUN- I am no expert but I think they look great! I am with you at this point on not wanting any more detail. I did find a ton of good info about women who had 5 day morulas like two of my three which ended up in healthy babies...one even with twins!

It seems that the live birth rate is lower for 5 day morulas, but hardly nonexistent. The rate is anywhere between 17 and 30% depending on the study, so I still have pretty good odds...especially with the blast! I am not going to lie though, I am struggling to keep up the PMA tonight. I really thought that this cycle would be more productive. More follies, more eggs, more blasts. I think what is upsetting to me it that now I know with certainty that we have some quality issues. I was so hoping to transfer two perfect blasts today! This is such a tough process.

I know all it really takes is MY BABY (babies) to fight, grow, and stick. PMA, PMA, PMA!

Thanks SD- I really, really needed that. Somebody needs to take my computer away and lock it up until I get my BFP! The more I research the more crazy I become. I just need to stop, recognize I have a blast, two morulae, and a perfect lining going for me and that the only thing missing is a GOOD attitude. I will still check in on the thread, but I am committing right here and now to stop using Google! :D

Indigo- are you waiting on AF or starting the estrace before AF comes?

Bliss- how's the pregnancy going??? I promise ill move you over to the 2ww group today. My mother in law was visiting yesterday and I never got a chance to update yesterday.

Afm- finally starting shots today- woooo hooo! I even put on my new bracelet today that my friend got me for good luck. I don't think I've even been so excited to start injections. Think I may have shocked my mother in law yday though- she was talking about DH stepsister who announced she was preggo when I found out we were miscarrying and needed a D &C. So she's 2 wks further along than I would have been even though they weren't trying and didn't want another kid. Anyway- his mom was saying that the poor thing has to take a shot every day (progesterone to prevent preterm birth)...and when she said that I said well I don't feel sorry for her because ill be on 4 shots + meds every day. I don't think she knew how to respond but seriously?? Don't talk to me about how she has to do 1 shot.

Pregnancy is going well today, much better than yesterday! I am really, really, really bored though. I have watched two movies and meditated twice. I also looked up every early blast/morula transfer success story I could find and printed them so I could look at them whenever my thoughts went negative. It's helping...

I never thought I would say it but I can't wait to get back to work! All this time on my hands is killing me, and I miss exercising terribly!

Blair- don't worry about the list update. Believe me...I know I am on the 2ww without the list. Ha ha. Entertaining your mother in law is very important and taxing. Congrats on getting back in the swing of things. Have fun shooting up!

Indigo- you are moving along nicely! Can't believe you will be back on the 2ww so soon. That's GREAT.

I wonder if my little blast is already implanting??? I wonder if my morulae turned into big beautiful blasts as soon as they realized they were home sweet home and if they are right behind???

Hmmmm thinking happy sticky thoughts. On to movie number three!

Hi Bliss-I'm so ecstatic for you to finally be PUPO. it's perfectly normal to he Googling yourself to death looking for info, just try not to do it to the point of exhaustion and defeat cuz for every good thing you see that gives you hope there's something to take it away. I personally believe embies feed off the environment they're trying to make a home in. Someone said a good idea was to talk to them and encourage them. I think you stand a great chance.

Blair- must be nice to get to the dance (corny basketball term). Good luck.

I hope everyone else is hanging in there. Haven't heard from "Trying" lately so I hope e'things good.

Crissy- yea it will be nice once the tourney starts. That was an intense game though. At least we finally won an SEC game away from Rupp arena.

Bliss- Im glad you are relaxing and enjoying pregnancy. I know how after a few movies you are more than ready to get back to normal life though. Just keep those little babies in mind and rent a couple more.

Indigo- That was a quick turn around. So exciting that you are starting up meds again and will be transferring so soon.

Tohavefun- Hows the pregnancy going for you? Hopefully you are still relaxing as much as you can and those embryos are stuck in nice and tight.

SD- US time soon right?? Cannot wait to see how it goes!

AFM- Anxious for 9pm to get here. Especially since DH is on call today so Im just hanging out alone. Need to do some homework and finish laundry so I guess that will help pass some of the time.

Hi all, I'm new here and learning about how the board works - I tried to go back and read all the past posts but (wow!) that's almost impossible so I'm hoping to jump right in and get acquainted. However, I first have to say good luck to all those who've recently had their egg transfers - You've made it so far, and I hope you all get the wonderful news you deserve!!

I've been reading, googling, researching to learn as much as I can about infertility and treatment but it gets more and more complicated, and I have started to feel lost. I feel like I understand just enough to know that each milestone (a clear ultrasound with no polyps or cysts - hoorray!) is a miracle, but I'm overwhelmed by all the increasingly fragile steps I have to pass to actually have a viable pregnancy. Starting IVF, I feel "THIS-HAS-GOT-TO-WORK" pressure, and I don't feel in control at all. I don't understand all the details like E2 levels and Betas and egg grading and.....I worry I'm going to overlook something vital because I can't connect to the process. Like with IUI, I went through the motions with the first one; was devastated when it was cancelled the day before insemination due to discovery of a polyp...but it wasn't until after surgery and into the second IUI that the process was familiar and I understood each step. Well, I want to do everything I can to be fully present with this first IVF and hopefully it will be my only one. I guess I worry that if I don't give it my all and stay one step ahead, it won't be successful. The thing is, I don't know how to predict each step. What questions should I be asking, what more can I be doing?

Can you tell I've spent too much time alone thinking of this? Some days I am excited and hopeful, but other days I'm overwhelmed - and clearly, from your posts, I see it only gets way more intense. I feel like it might be better to just talk to people who are also going thru it than to just worryworryworry. I don't want stress to have a negative effect on getting pregnant!

I'm also thinking the birth control pills made me feel a little moody and introspective (anybody else?) Thank goodness I finally got AF yesterday, which I hope will break the hermit phase I've been in.

Would LOVE to hear from anyone who is on a similar cycle schedule. I've recently started injections of Lupron and Follistem, and I'm scheduled for Egg Retrieval on March 17th with a (hopeful) transfer March 20-22

PS. When I got AF yesterday, I went straight out to the store and bought a book so I'd have an excuse to be lazy and read...I picked up the latest Jodi Picoult book titled, "Sing You Home" because I like that author - didn't have a clue what it was about. When I started reading, I was surprised to learn it was about a woman who was struggling to get pregnant thru IVF...I read the whole book (all 466 pages) in one day - def a good read (and a good excuse to sit in bed all day!)

Thanks for reading and I hope to hear back from some of you soon!
