Hi Ladies! Hope everyone had an awesome weekend.

Margi -- Good luck today my friend! Thinking of you.

Shell -- Congrats! So happy for you mama. When is your u/s?

Leora -- Lovely pee stick! Can't wait for your u/s on Thursday. Sorry about the job search not going well. I do hope you find something awesome soon. Don't eat too much tuna! LOL

Anton -- mmmmm.... Paella! You really live the life girl. Hope you have tons of follies on Weds u/s!

Kynlee -- How are stims going? Glad your headache went away.

Lauren -- How was Bon Jovi? I go on Weds and I'm so excited!

CJ -- How are you feeling? I'm so sorry you were so sick. I hope you are better.

Kerri -- BCP's are used more for timing than anything else. Although my RE says BCP's can help get more follies of the same size for ER which is also good. I don't think they do anything for quality though.

LongtimeIVF-- Is your beta today? I pary you get a surprise BFP. I know how the sticks can get you down. As for refurbishing the uterus, I really think the D&C I had in December helped my Jan BFP. At least get a hysteroscopy to look closely at the inside before moving on to another cycle. I really hope you don't need to.

AFM -- Saw RE this morning. My SCH is smaller and I haven't had any spotting for almost a week. The baby really looks more human now. I could easily make out arms and legs, and the spine was clear along with a heartbeat. The growth was right on and measured 8w3d but was most amazing to me is that the baby was moving and wiggling around. So freakin' cool!

CJinNC wrote:Ok... I have an urgent question, while I wait for response from RE... I talked to my RE nurse this morning about my issues in the past with ovulating too early before my follies were mature and doc had spoken about adding ganirelix to prevent that from happening. Well he spoke nothing about it this cycle. Here I am excited about possibly having some good follies for later this week and, out of my concern, I decided to get some OPKs to test. I just took one and its positive. It will probably be darker tomorrow, which means ovulation on Wednesday, which is still WAYY too soon. WTH??? Is it too late to hold off ovulation with the ganirelix? I don't have any, so I couldn't get any until tomorrow I doubt. What am I supposed to do?
Is your clinic monitoring your LH level? I would see if you can get one today. Your clinic might have a dose of Ganirelix there that they could give you. I don't think it's too late, but if your OPK is positive now, then I think you need to act today. Good luck!

Hi everyone! :D

Kerri- Well, I am doing the antagonist protocol for this cycle and my RE started me on Folistim on my 2nd day of AF. This is my 5th day of stims and I have started without prior taking any PCP's. My RE told me that there was no reason for me to take for this protocol. He mentioned nothing though on the quality of eggs of not taking PCP's prior to stiming, I think its irrelevant. I will let you know for sure though, after my u/s on Wednesday. In all my previous 4 IVF's done with my ob/gyn I was taking PCP's so this is my first without. PCP or not, I am hoping for a BFP! :D Image

Leorira- Thank you Leorira! :D Tuna bagels sound great but I wouldn't advice you to have more...Look what I found for you:
Highest Mercury AVOID Eating Grouper
Marlin, Orange roughy, Tilefish , Swordfish, Shark , Mackerel (king)
High Mercury Eat no more than three 6-oz servings per month

LOWEST MERCURYEnjoy two 6-oz servings per week
Anchovies, Butterfish, Calamari (squid),Caviar (farmed),Crab (king) ,Pollock,Catfish,Whitefish,Perch (ocean),Scallops,Flounder,Haddock,Hake,Herring,Lobster (spiny/rock),Shad,Sole,Crawfish/crayfish,Salmon,Shrimp, Clams

Chart obtained from the Natural Resource Defense Council (NRDC); data obtained by the FDA and the EPA.
Tuna mercury levels can be different based on the type of tuna and where it was caught. The NRDC created the chart below as a guideline to how much tuna can be eaten by children, pregnant women or women wanting to conceive, based on their weight. Image

CjinNC- Glad your u/s went OK :D Can't answer you on the favourite side of follies :D I don't remember my previous times but I can tell you about this cycle when I do my u/s on Wed. If you have your IUI on Sat then the supervisor job will be the most appropriate for you! :D ...just saw your other post...sorry dear I can't help you on this one. Call your RE and ask!! I am sure everything will be ok. Image

Leora- I agree with the girls, no more tunas for you this often! :) Glad you have an apettite!

CJ - I wish I had an answer for you, I did ganirelix for 4 days on my last cycle. Praying it all goes perfect!

Longtimer - praying you still get a BFP!!! I heard having a mild D&C can help with implantation, I think both Lou and Leora had something like that done before their current BFP. But hopefully you won't need it!

Kynlee - let us know!

Lauren - I took 75mg of DHEA and 400 of Coq10, gave male vits do DH and also COQ10. MY Re said the 75 mg dose was fine and I never got my levels checked, but make sure your RE knows about DHEA cause when I was going to start, I was on BCP and ovulated right through it, so I got postponed a month and did a cycle with no BCP. Sorry about your doggie, definitely call the vet, our little girl had a hernia with her surgery so they had to correct her, make sure it is not very red or with pus, maybe put some neosporin, if she is too active ask the vet if you can give her some benadryl to keep her calmed down so she doesn't get hurt. Good luck and doggie praying thoughts your way!

Anton - love your PMA! As for food I cooked an awesome garlic langostini pasta last night and thought how fun if we could all get together for a fun meal! Too bad we all live so far apart!

Margi - got get those babies in mamma!

Thank you for all the well wishes, hopefully I will be myself soon!

Lou, the nurse called right after I posted and had me go get blood drawn. They are checking my LH and progesterone. They said if progesterone is over 3 they will scrap the cycle, assuming I ovulated, but I am almost positive I haven't - not to mention the sono this morning didn't indicate it either. But if LH is on the rise, they may be able to hold it off if it isn't too high already. I think if I do nothing I will ovulate late tomorrow or early Wednesday, just based on my previous experience. That would be way too soon for any mature follies. If they call me back this afternoon and LH is low enough to hold off ovulation, I may be able to take the ganirelix, but they don't have any available and no place locally stocks it, so not sure what I am going to do. Plus I would need a few more days worth... this just really pisses me off because the doc should have told me I needed it this cycle... we talked about my issues in the past and that I missed other IUI cycles for this very same reason. I just can't believe these doctors are incapable of listening to their patients concerns. Its like I have to hold THEIR hands every step of the way and they are the ones getting paid for their "expertise".... sorry, I'm really pissed off right now, regardless of what my bloodwork shows.

longtimerivf -- I just wanted to send you some huge cyber ((HUGS)). I'm sorry this cycle was another bust. Believe me I know the feeling that you are going through. I looked at your siggy and we are pretty darn close. I have been trying 6years and have had 6 failed cycles before going through a donor egg cycle. Jury still out on that one, i don't think it worked but haven't POAS or did my beta yet. Just know you are not alone. I think with every cycle the BFN gots harder and harder. the last 2 I was pissed for over a month. I didn't even recognize myself. Good luck to you in the future in whatever you decide to do.

Margi - Good Luck today!!

Carol: I am SO ANGRY for you...what on earth? This is ridiculous....I hope that your levels are ok--is it possible to call SUCCESS MEDs or one of the other pharmacies to get them to overnight you some Ganirelix?!? This cycle I used Lupron so I don't have any of it would be yours. With four possible follies, I hope that this cycle is able to get back on track....and for you and DH to be sick on top of everything.....ugh! THEY should be more carefully monitoring your cycle...

LongtimerIVF: I am so sorry. It is always so difficult to get that confirmed BFN....take special care of yourself, hold tight to DH and please know that we are here for you if you need to vent or whatever. ((((HUGS))))

NWQUIZ: When is your beta? Or do you only get one if you get a BFP on a stick? Hang in there....sending you tons of baby dust and BFP dust.

Rio: So sorry that you are under the weather with your GD....take it EASY...housework can definitely wait. Your little girl needs you to be as healthy and strong as possible.

Leora: Sorry the job hunting isn't going so well. You deserve to be compensated appropriately however!! The right position will come along--I just know it. For now, rest easy and take care of yourself and your growing bean.

Kynlee: I hyperstimmed and was worried the same about having a lower dose. This cycle I am in started out moderate and ended really low and I had the best outcome I have had (not counting my OHSS cycle). So, the RE knows what he is doing. Hoping for awesome results for you.

Shell (Justsolost): Congratulations!!!! you should be screaming it from the rooftops!! I am so happy for you!!! And such an awesome beta as well!! Do you go for a second soon?

Kerri: Welcome "back" and congratulations on a new clinic and a new protocol. That is exactly what I have done, and I think it has worked wonderfully for me so far.

Lauren: Sorry about your puppy :-( Hope she is feeling better.

Ryann, Sunshine76, Annashope: Thanks for stalking and for the well wishes!!!

AFM: Wonderful ET report!! We still had 8 embies this morning  --3 of which were blasts and the other 5 morulas. RE was very surprised with the high quality in all of them and very little fragmentation. He said they looked more like DE than those of a 43 (nearly 44) year old! :D So--we negotiated because he had SAID he'd put them all in, but of course didn't think we would be looking at this many. LOL. SO--I have 3 "perfect" blasts and 2 morulas transferred. They will watch the other 3 morulas and freeze if able. I went straight to acupuncturist and then to my hotel room where I will stay as a couch potato until my shuttle comes to take me to the airport on Wednesday. I am really happy and pleased!!! And, I am PUPO!

Hello folks! you are probably wondering who the heck is LYD10 and where has she been all this time :) I am the one with beta of 20 at 14dpo, then 4 days later 54, and now another week later, as i just found out, 274. My doc wants me in for the heartbeat U/S on 3/16, but they didnt have an opening until 3/18. I am keeping my fingers crossed that i'll see a heartbeat in 11 days on 2/18. this is exactly one day before my DS's 1 year birthday and a bunch of relatives are coming into town to celebrate - so i am praying i'll see a heartbeat the day before.

Margie!!!! congrats on the awesome transfer! wow - what a great 5 day embie report! i cant believe you and doc were brave enough to put 5 in! but you guys obviously know what you are doing! this is not your first rodeo, so t ospeak :)

Longtimer - i am so sorry. this is so crushing. just so crushing. i am so sorry. cyber hugs!!!!
