Hi ladies! I have the day off of work today, so I am going to make an attempt at personals for our ever growing group!!!

Rio...Sorry you are feeling pretty icky-I hope it gets straightened out soon!

Sonya...How cute that he had the hiccups today! I can't wait to feel these little buggers!

Karen...Can't wait to hear what your little baby is!!!!! We are going for a 3D tomorrow, so I'm hoping for some confirmation on the boy/girl diagnosis that the last doc gave us!

GIna...I'm glad you are going to be able to take it easy and keep cooking those boys!

Mellow...Did you talk to your doc about your near passing out incident? I hope you're feeling ok!

deidraj....How cute of your DH to set p the crib! I'm trying to get on DH about painting the room so we cans tart moving here. I'm not getting any smaller!!!

Leora...What a wonderful line! I can't wait to see your little bean on ThursdaY!

Ashley...You're parent had to be thrilllllled! I can't believe you were able to keep it in that long!

JustlikeHannah....WOW! I can't believe how close you are now! You're pictures are beautiful!!!!!

Lou....I was so freaking excited to be pregnant that I bought maternity pants for Chirstmas and I was only 6 weeks pregnant! After the initial maternity pants excitement wore off I was able to wear my normal pants up until a few weeks ago, but now NO WAY!!!! I know you are hesitant....but get some!

Lostgirl...I believe your US is today-so good luck! Can't wait to hear how awesome it was!

Osi...welcome and congrats!

Karenvancouver...congrats on a natural miracle! My cousin went through IVF to have her first son and when he was 7 months old got the suprise of a lifetime when she found out she was expecting her second!

I know that isn't everyone, but I'm thinking about taking a nap before my endo appt!

AFM... Finally starting to feel big! Not as big as I expected at 16 weeks, but you can tell they are there! I am able to eat here and there now, so that is encouraging to me. I gained my first 2 pounds (which is 2 back from the 20 I lost, but still exciting!). I've stopped taking my Zofran and am able tog et through a day. I have found that I throw up in the morning, but then if I get some food in me I'm better. DH thinks I need to make up in the middle of the night to eat, but I need my sleep!
We have a 3D ultrasound scheduled tomorrow-it is a gift we wanted to give our parents and DH's mom is in from GA this week. The place said if we want the twins in the same pic to come between 16-18 weeks-hopefully we get some good pics of them! I'm also hoping on confirmation that it is in fact a boy and a girl!
I got a little stir crazy and did my registry online! Boy was that fun!!!! For the twin mamas...anyone struggle finding a stroller? I really wanted my babies side by side, but there are only 2 options in twin side by sides that allow for 2 carseats...1 is $1,700 and the other is $700-ouch!

Mellow -- Wow your blackout at Chipotle sounds really scary! I haven't had any dizziness or faintness at all and hope it stays that way.

JustLikeHannah -- How did your appt go today? Got any measurement updates for us?

HopeisallIhave-- So glad you had an awesome second u/s. That NP would've scared me too! How insensitive of her. When is your 1st OB appt? What were your parents doing in India? I'm sure they were thrilled to hear your news. Were you born in India then? Cool.

Sonya -- What theatre performance were you in? I have a couple of friends who were just in The Wizard of Oz last weekend. It was a lot of fun. Do you sing?

Leora -- Good luck on the job hunt! I wrote you on the other thread as well.

Gina -- A baby shower, how fun! Good thing you had it now in case you end up on bed rest. Glad you enjoyed it.

diedraj-- Congrats on your baby girl!

Ryann-- Glad you are able to eat now. I did break down and bought a pair of yoga pants and a pair of maternity pants.

AFM -- Saw RE this morning. My SCH is smaller and I haven't had any spotting for almost a week. The baby really looks more human now. I could easily make out arms and legs, and the spine was clear along with a heartbeat. The growth was right on and measured 8w3d but was most amazing to me is that the baby was moving and wiggling around. So freakin' cool!

Rypell-I'm expecting boy/girl twins any day now. I'm on bed rest in the hospital with pre-eclampsia and am hoping to make it to 36 weeks. I saw your question about the strollers. We gave up on trying to find a side-by-side that would fit 2 car seats after a frustrating search.

I know someone who had g/g twins last year and she gave us her Snap N'Go which will fit 2 car seats, but it's front to back. I think it costs $100, maybe even cheaper on Amazon. I know it's not side-by-side. That's what we wanted too, but for those first few weeks/months I doubt the babies will be that interested in seeing anything-they will probably be asleep most of the time. We'll make the transition to the City Mini Jogger side-by-side when they get a little older.

Starting out with the Snap/Go seems to be what many twin families are doing.

Lou- congrats on another great u/s and seeing your little wiggle worm! I am so very happy for you that the SCH is smaller and all is going well! Yeah! :)

Rypell- when I was expecting twins the last time i was going to get the snap n go. In fact, i'm going to still get it for my little one now. I have neighbors with twins and they said their snap n go really helped them sooooo much when they were newborns. I'm gonna get a regular stoller too, but for the first couple months I'm gonna use the snap n go. Also I never found a side by side that I liked. And I was worried about it fitting through doorways when in public.

Ok ladies. Here's the belly pic. I am 18w6d. My parents were hounding me for a belly pic (they live far away) so I thought I'd share with you ladies since I've yet to post a belly pic! I can't believe how big I am I can't feel this little booger move around b/c of my anterior placenta! Every now and then I feel a flutter but nothing regular. xo

I'm sorry Lostgirl.... I had two blighted ovums and in a row and they are the world's biggest mindf*ck if you want my honest opinion. It's not fair and it's sad and it hurts a LOT. I hope you heal quickly and that your next cycle has much happier results. Big hugs.

Oh I wish I could sing! LOL No... I am involved in the "Vagina Monologues" - quite famous in many parts of the world, mostly throughout North America. A series of monologues performed by local women in support of educating the world about women's issues including violence against women, women's sexual issues and promoting acceptance of our bodies and sexuality. I've been involved for four years now. This year my monologue was portraying a Bosnian woman who was a victim of war rapes.... most of the monologues are extremely funny and uplifting... I choose a very deep sad one this year.

It was a sold out show and I had a great time but glad the rehearsals are finally over!

I'm so glad you are not dealing with any spotting. That would be immeasurably unsettling. My husband loved seeing the spine as well - he said it gave him extreme comfort to see it. It's exciting when we see the babies taking shape - not just blobs or beans! LOL I'm very happy for you, Lou... I know you've been at this for a long time.

Hi ladies,

Lostgirl - sending prayers up for you during this trying time. Very sorry you have to go through this

Rio - Hi, can you add me and Reenie to the baby list. :)

Reenie - Sorry to see you're on hospital bed rest now. I'll be praying that at a minimum you make it to your 36 weeks. All will be well. Apologies if I missed it, but have you had a recent weight measurement on the babies? Have they given you the steroid shots for increased lung development? Keep your head up, you're almost there :))

Lou (& my AFM update)- My appt went well today, it was just rough on me, unfortunately. I can't breath laying flat on my back, so I had to ask for "roll over breaks" during my session just so I wouldnt pass out and could catch my breath. I also felt nauseous for some reason, I don't know, just one of those days. But babies were very active, strong heartbeats, and good breathing practice. I got a 4d pic of my son playing with his tongue, super cute :)) Both babies weigh 4lbs 13oz. So, so far, so good. I'm just just taking it easy and praying for no blind-sided surprises... 4 more weeks to go :))

Lost Girl - I'm so so sorry. That's is just awful news.

Just like Hannah - I'm so glad your babies are growing so well! Enjoy the last 4 weeks!

Sonya - Another performer! Only difference is that I do sing :D I'm actually on a break from my amateur opera group - ironically it was getting too busy at work, and then I got laid off the day that casting was announced! Oh well. Also, I'm hoping not to be in the fall shows -- I hope to be having a baby in November!

Lou - it's so cute when they finally look like babies instead of blobs. Just wait a few more weeks and s/he will REALLY look like a baby!

deidraj - congrats on passing the glucose test. One less thing to worry about!

Karen - you look awesome! Congrats! I can't wait to hear if bean is a boy or a girl!

Ryann - I'll ditto the double snap'n'go. I acutally found a used one on the equivalent of craigslist here and bought it for $25. I've heard it's a life saver for twin moms. I've also heard fantastic things about the Baby Jogger City Mini. Good luck! I'm also soooooo glad to hear you are feeling better! HG is awful! I'm just starting the puke-y period - hopefully I'll feel better soon too

AFM - Just passing the time until Thursday. I know that 5w2d is still too early to see anything, but I'm excited anyways. That way, instead of waiting 2 weeks for a 6wk u/s, I just wait one week until this one and then another week until the next one. Somehow 1ww is easier than 2ww!

5 weeks today! I know that most of you are waaaay beyond me (I think I'm dead last on the due date list!), but this is still a huge step for me! In my last pregnancy, things were already going wrong (bleeding, cramping, etc) - so I'm being really optimistic about this pregnancy not ending anytime soon!

Also - this is probably TMI - but DH and I finally dtd for the first time since the ET 2.5 weeks ago. I know that he can't hurt the baby, but I was worried about spotting or cramping after wards. Things were fine (well.... better than 'fine' but I think that's TMI even for this board!). No spotting, no cramping, etc. Yay!

I'm really trying to focus on the fact that every single healthy baby that is born was at one point a 5 week old fetus. I'm hoping that mine grows and grows until s/he is ready to be born in Oct/Nov!

also - I have this weird thing where I cry ALOT when pregnant - and at the stupidest things. This summer - every time Katy Perry's song "California Gurlz" came on, I would start bawling. Currently, I have a Martina McBride CD in my car ---- that HAS to change before I get into an accident because I'm crying so hard while driving! :D

Lostgirl - I'm so very sorry to hear about your u/s. :(

Leora - I'm LOVING your PMA!!! I can't wait to hear your fabulous report on Thursday.

Karen - SOOOOOO CUTE!!! You look adorable!

Ryann - We considered the snap and go system as well. However, we decided to just go with Safety 1st Air Protect convertibles. Car seats (especially when buying two) are just too friggin' expensive to have to trade up from the infant carrier to the convertible after a few months, in my opinion. We ordered the Jogger City Mini. We'd rather unload the boys from their seats and into the stroller than worry about carriers at all. Just thought I would mention an alternative to your dilemma. :D

I know a missed quite a few of you, but my bath's almost finished filling and I need to be quick.

My BFF's little sister lost her battle with her cervix and delivered her beautiful little girl last night at just shy of 21 weeks. My heart is so broken for her. It seems as though she's either in shock (denial??) or just doesn't grasp the reality of her loss yet. I hope that once the grief does take over, she realizes that some good can come from this. They now know she has IC issues and can take the appropriate preventative measures in the future. Now the battle at hand is to be able to come up with the money for a burial. I didn't know funerals had to be paid in full up front... who knew that professionals that deal with the most difficult time in people's lives were so GD insensitive???
