Hi All

I have also finished my second ivf cycle. 1st one bpn but 2nd one bfp. My beta was 230 14 dpo and 440 16 dpo and now am petrified as I do not have any symptoms. The re took me off all meds as all my respective levels were very high. I am petrified now that something is wrong i am 4 weeks 6 days pregnant and am praying it sticks. My u/s is for the 28th march and that is tooo looong away. How is everyone else going with symtoms????

LYD10- Oh my goodness lady, what you must be feeling!!!

Trust me- we didn't forget you.

I wanted to ask where you were and how things were going, but you know how it is on this site. You know people will reach out when the time is right for them, especially if struggling and you never want to push to hard. You must be going nuts with the Beta progression. I am so sorry that things aren't clearer and that you have to wait so long for the u/s. This is supposed to be a 2ww, not a one month wait! Hang in there, we are here for you.

WeHaveHope- I read today on the SART site that the official recommendation is a month between cycles, to take time to heal physically and emotionally from a BFN or in your case, an upsetting end result. My RE recommends the same thing and that's what I do (in fact even longer for me). Plus I would think with AF coming so early it might be best to try to regulate things. But that is just me. Your RE and your heart know best. I have seen lots of ladies jump right back in the saddle again (I think a few on this thread even) and get a BFP!

Welcome Madi- and congratulations. You are pregnant! Those are good numbers and I am sure your RE wouldn't take you off the meds if he/she weren't confident it was safe. I bet it is terrifying, but hang in there and enjoy your pregnancy. As far as symptoms, its probably still too early for that for you. My symptoms from the drugs (sore breasts, tired, bloated, crampy) are all calming down but it doesn't worry me a bit. Too soon! Some women have little to no symptoms at all, so maybe you are just one of those lucky ones.

Hi all,

I've been busy birthing babies and haven't had a lot of time for the boards. Sorry ladies.

Welcome to all of the new members. It's exciting to see, even though we're already in March.

WeHaveHope - I'm doing a FET right after an IVF. My protocol is much simpler then what they've got you going through. I waited for AF after my BFN. Then went in for cycle monitoring on Day 2. I'm taking Estrace 2 - 2mg tablets 3X/day for 10 days. Go in on day 12 for lining check. Once my lining is good, then I'll start PIO for 5 days and transfer on the 5th because we have frozen blasts. That's it. No Lupron, or BCPs. I've actually read research that supports back to back cycles for IVF then FET. Who knows what is best. I'll let you know how my cycle goes.

LYD - so great to hear from you and so happy that your numbers are looking good right? Good luck with the US. Let us know how it goes.

Madi - many people have no pregnancy symptoms for quite a while. Try to enjoy your pregnancy. Talk to your bean. They like the good energy!

SD - Can't wait to hear the US report. It'll be so exciting to see your little bean. Please let us know how it goes!

AFM - finally got my thyroid levels under 2.5. They had been well above 4 for quite some time. Needed more meds. Now it's down to 0.3!!! I'm worried that might be too low??? Waiting to hear back from the clinic tomorrow if I need to decrease my meds. I'm hoping that the reason I haven't had a BFP before is because of my thyroid. Now that's it's under control and we have a strong blasts to transfer, I know this will be my month, with a Christmas Baby on the way!

Baby dust to all!

BlissfulCS - on second thought, maybe that book isn't such a great selection for everyone to read. It was interesting to me because of all books in Barnes&Noble, I happened to grab that one...how ironic that it was about a woman struggling to have a child...HOWEVER, it is heavy. And heartbreaking. And ultimately inspiring. But a long, sometimes dark journey, yes. And maybe not the most uplifting choice for you during your 2ww.

My book came with a music cd, but I haven't listened to it - I'll have to keep it with me in the car and give it a try!

Thinking of you and hoping you're well!

LYD10- I had it in my head that you numbers are supposed to double every day...don't know what I was thinking. So your 274 is in line with normal HCG rises (doubling every 48 to 72 hours). That's good! But I am guessing you are concerned because of the slower start and where the level is now relative to your cycle?

SD- you are so funny! Part of the reason I am documenting what I find in my Google searches on this thread is so future Google searchers can immediately benefit from all my searching. :D I go back to work on Wednesday...bet you ladies will miss my ranting and pontificating! Can't wait to hear about the u/s!

Bliss- Still going crazy in the 2ww? So exciting that you will be seeing your BFP very soon!!!

Madi- You are preggo so try to relax and enjoy. Even though Im sure it was scary that they took you off the meds they wouldn’t do it unless they were confident.

LYD10- Congrats on the Beta!! It stinks that they couldn’t get you in until the 18th but Im hoping you bring back news of a very strong heartbeat!!

WeHaveHope- I know you said that there were 2 scenarios one with BCP and one without. I have done 2 FET and we used BCP on both just to make sure I was down regulated. But I will say that every time the NP said I would have to start BCP I had a breakdown and cried. I just felt like I wasn’t actively trying to get pregnant if I was taking BCP…when all along it actually helps things work the way they should. Good luck with the decision.

SD- How did it go??? We are anxiously awaiting the results of your US so keep us posted.

Cindylou- Im beyond glad to get started. Like ive said before- ive never been so excited to give myself shots! Even though its great to say Ive been able to get pregnant twice and don’t have a hostile uterus…it really doesn’t feel any different than never getting pregnant. I think its worse that I got pregnant because I thought it was finally gonna happen for us.

AFM- Lupron going good so far so nothing exciting to report. I did have some bad cramps and back pain yesterday so I don’t know whether it was the Lupron or just my body being stupid. Im hoping it means Ill have an early period next week so I can go for my baseline and start the follistim!

LYD10- No POAS for me until the day before Beta. I thought about it, but given that I transferred a couple of late bloomers I feel like I am setting myself up for heartache if there is not enough HCG to pick it up. Mentally I am sooooo very good. Occasionally I have a thought that I should be a little more pragmatic so I don't set myself up for a big disappointment, but really...I feel great. I am completely convinced that this is it, and if it isn't then the embies weren't healthy and it is as it should be. I am at peace. For now. :)

Blair- I am really excited for you being under way. Regarding BCP...I took them for like 15 years before we started TTC (started before I was sexually active to help with a cyst I had when I was 13). I did the math once and figured out that if I had known I was fertility challenged (none of us are TRULY infertile you know) that the money I spent on BCPs would have paid for a full fresh cycle. Ah the irony!!!

Mamaboo- are you getting excited? You are on deck girl!

Where are all my 2ww friends? I have heard from FUN but that is it. Did I scare you all away with my constant research? Kyleen, elcope, and sweetmommi...how are you?

I did a little more research today (I allow myself 20 minutes in the morning) and found out how cool and complicated the implantation process is. Wow this whole thing is just amazing!

I think I am going to do a very gentle prenatal yoga routine at some point today to send lots of good blood and nutrients to my beautiful implanting embies.

Love to you All!

Blissful- Ive done the same thing and thought about all the wasted money we spent on contraception before we knew we had fertility problems. DH and I like to laugh about the times we even went so far as to use a backup method if I was ever on antibiotics while I was also on BCP. My mom and sister both got pregnant on BCP so the irony that I cant even get pregnant when doctors do it all for me is crazy. But this is our cycle and I will be bringing home a baby a few weeks after you. Luckily they will both be cats fans!
