Karin1-- Glad your u/s looked great! Always good to hear that. Bon Jovi was fantastic last night! We had an awesome time. I hear you on the remodel. We did our kitchen a few years back and our house was a *disaster* for 6 months. It's worth it in the end though. We need to do our master bath but are procrastinating...lol. Especially since we didn't know if we'd need the funds for more IVF.

HopeisallIhave-- Thanks for explaining your connection to India. I've never been there although we've traveled to over 50 countries. Except for Turkey, Asia is a continent we haven't ventured to yet although I'd like to visit Thailand and Cambodia. I was confused by the gender predictor link too... see my updated link for the right method according to a 60 year old Chinese lady I know who swears by this method. http://www.chinesefortunecalendar.com/PredictSex.htm

WaitingKay -- Congratulations on your BFP and welcome to our group! So happy for you.

Ryann-- GREAT pics! Again, many congrats on your healthy twins. Awesome news that you got the stroller you wanted too!

Lostgirl-- I'm so sorry. Your betas gave every indication of a normal pregnancy. It's just so unfair.

dlk-- You are sooooo in the home stretch! I'm so excited for you!!!!

Rio -- What did the doc say about your cord placement issue? How common is that and how much of an issue can it be?

I know I didn't get to everyone, but I've got to get back to work!

AFM -- First of all, the Bon Jovi concert last night was off the hinges awesome! We had so much fun!!! My OB appt was really uneventful. All they did was take my blood pressure and did a quick u/s on a very old grainy machine to verify I was pregnant. I did see my gummy bears heartbeat so that's all I needed to see. She wants to see me back in about 3 weeks for my screening u/s and blood work when I will be 12 weeks. She also told me she wants me to schedule my Level II with the MFM between May 6th and May 13th. So I will call now for that. At least I have those appts ironed out. My SCH is down to 6 mm, so shrinking and very small. I am still seeing RE weekly for u/s to "ease my mind" until week 12.

After following so many of you on the IVF board and now here, I feel like I should join and not be such a stalker. I am fairly shy in nature and this is my first forum I have joined. But the support and information you guys give has been so helpful to me and I have not even posted. I went through my first IVF treatment in Jan and was successful. I am now 8wks 5 days preg with twins. A BIG blessing but I am also very nervous. This is a first pregnancy for me (cant really count the ectopic last spring).
I just wanted to say...

Lou - congrats, enjoy. I was soo happy for you to get pregnant. I was praying for you the whole time.

Leora - Again, I was hoping and praying for you and am so happy to hear about your twins. Heres to a great heartbeat next week. You are a very strong and inspiring woman.

krcaja - you got your BFP right around my ET. It just seemed like a sign that I was going to get one too. I am so sorry to hear about twin B but twin A is doing great and I am so happy for you.

to everyone else good luck and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Lou - the second link you sent was girl so right on! So exciting to go to a concert! Did he mean Buchal test or level II, level II is usually after 18 weeks. You can do your AFP and nuchal between 11 and 14 weeks. You will love seeing your bean!

kjm - welcome! Glad you decided to join us!

dlk - so glad your twins are staying put!

Amanda - I haven't had any BH yet but I feel the baby move a lot and sometimes if I lay down she will be a huge hard bump on high, kinda fun to feel it, she is breech right now.

waitingkay - I was bloated but also had OHSS, I can't wait for your US results!

Leora - congrats on your twins! I know you are probably terrified but I wish you a healthy pregnancy, take it easy and don't do too much!!!

SD - pics of your trip? DH and I are dying to take our son down to SD for Sea World and everything else, I can't wait! I sued to work there on summers in college!

AFM - huge relief - my OB said the doc who does Level II is an alarmist and he is not concerned at all about the offset chord but I will still have another US with the super machine at 28 weeks to make sure! :) I am exhausted running after a toddler and being pregnant, wow!

Rio - So glad it looks like things are good with the cord. PHEW!!

Leora - Awww, love the pic of your lil ones! Can't wait to see how much they've grown when you go back next week.

Didi - You're so close to delivering now, I can't wait till we start seeing pics of all of these beautiful babies on this thread!Definitely let me know what CD's you end up liking! You're right - there are sooo many different options and opinions vary widely...I've read so much my eyes have hurt. :D I polled my other CD'ing friends and most said they liked the pocket dipes best. So so far I've got some Sunbabies and Bum Genius, both one size so I don't keep having to buy new sizes. I'm going to get a couple of AIOs too to see how I like those. I have one friend that swears by pre-folds and covers but those just seem like so much work LOL. And most said they used disposables until their LO's hit 10 pounds so I'm going to grab some sposies for those first few weeks.

kjm - Welcome and congrats on your twins!!

Lou - so glad you had a great time at the concert and a nice, uneventful OB appointment! You're ticker is trucking right along beautifully.

Waitingkay - Yeah, when a doctor's helped you get this far, I guess we can let him be cynical all he likes. But you keep that PMA going strong. :D

Riogirl hi:) Thanks...I just wrote to RE about being so bloated. And Klinger - guess what he answered!!!

"It's because you're pregnant".

We were laughing, then answered the more prompt message saying: "Thank you for the diagnosis Dr. House, though it rather feels more like the OHSS from my last cycle".
No answer came after that.
Yet, still very bloated. Riogirl - what calmed it down and at what stage did it go better for you? My E2 levels are still terribly high and reached 10700 yesterday. My progesterone # is higher than 127. I only take the progesterone suppositories twice a day.

Thanks to all!!!

Yay! Maybe the Chinese lady I work with knows what she is talking about. She is very traditional and swears this method is over 90% accurate. I just got very curious and thought I'd do my own study with you ladies. She said the key was to use the correct lunar calendar and adjust for time zones. I put in my mom's info for me and it said "girl" although I don't know the exact date of conception I could figure out the week because I was born a 4 weeks before my due date. I also tried it for my grandmother and her kids were all right as were my MIL's 3 kids. Wow.... compelling.

Hooray, the gender predictor worked! Maybe there really is something to it when it's done properly. It was my level II my OB wanted me to schedule. I scheduled it for 17w6d he's not there the next day and DH and I are planning a two week getaway for weeks 18 and 19. My OB really wanted me to do it before I left. I was able to schedule it but they said there might be a slight chance I have to come back at week 20 if they can't see everything yet. That's fine with me. So glad the offset cord isn't such an issue! Whew! I have an appt with my OB at exactly 12 weeks on 4/1/11 and I'm not sure if she will do my AFP and nuchal translucency at that time or if I have to come back for it. I am being scheduled a 1/2 hr time slot. I know they will do urine/blood/pap/physical/etc.

Thanks so much KJM!!! That means a lot to me that I had cheerleaders I didn't even know about. Congratulations on your twins! Our tickers are only a day apart although you will undoubtedly deliver before I do.

Lou~ Still wrong for me too, saying boy...unless there is something I don't know. They were pretty certain it's two girls :) So I am lumped into that 10% I guess. I am always one of the weirdos, haha
