Leora! Wow, TWO!! :) It's exciting, yet we all understand your concerns. So happy for you! Will be praying all goes well, and you can take a breather and enjoy every minute of your pregnancy.

AFM~ It's official, I am useless. I can't get anything done, because I can't take my hands off of my belly long enough to get anything accomplished. They both move so much, and I don't want to miss a moment. :D The dizzies haven't left me if I am up. I think my belly got so big so fast that the compression on my spine is making it worse. I think a maternity belt is in my very near future. Hoping it will take some of the pressure off my spine. Will see.

Hope you are all having a great week. It's almost the weekend, woo hoo!

Ryann: Congrats on your Boy/Girl twins, great ultrasound pics!

Stephanie: Time for you to take it easy. I've been contracting for 2 weeks now, a couple of times they've gotten to 5 minutes apart.

Leorira: Congrats on your twins! How exciting!!!

Waitingkay: You can't go by beta numbers, look at my info on the bottom. My first was 82.

Mellow: My belly is growing like mad! The boys are constantly moving now and I am constantly holding my belly as well. Not sure how much longer that will last as I think they'll run out of room soon.

AFM: With all of the contractions I've been having I'm trying to rest as much as possible. Taking procardia just about every 4 hours, although I try to stretch it out at times. My OB is hoping I'll make it to 32 weeks as am I. That's only 7 weeks away, kind of scary.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Leora - CONGRATS on the BOGO!!! I'm so incredibly happy for you!

Lou - The prediction was girl for me, so I guess I'm in the 10% too. Fun stuff, though! :D

Gina - 7 weeks??? Holy MOLY! Are you on strict bed rest? Are they anticipating on you having a vaginal delivery or a planned c-section?

Mellow - My MIL bought me a maternity belt when we found out there were two babies. Mind you, I've never even heard of, let alone seen one of these things. After Googling how to actually get into the velcro contraption, it quickly became one of my favorite things in the world! I hope you get tons of relief when you use yours. What did your OB say about your dizziness?

Kjm - Yes, I think it's the estrogen since it reached 10700 two days ago. I too stopped taking the tablets on Monday, but apparently my belly doesn't recall.

Gina - congrats on your twins! I know the number doesn't mean that much I guess we figured out it's a singleton when we so the doubling time was longer than 48 hours (12dp3dt beta#1 300, beta#2 two days later 536).

SDtrying - Yes! We are overjoyed to be pregnant nothing more to it! We just got stuck on the idea of having twins and try to get used to the wonderful idea of one at a time. We feel like this incredibly tough period of time has finally come to an end, I imagine so much like everybody else on board. I am considering dresses or when the occasion allows, sweatpants. Does it bother you though that you LOOK pregnant so early on? It bothers me because I don't want any questions - we are not telling anyone at least until after the first U/S.

Lou - please add me to your prediction list, at first It predicted we will have a boy but then (when I used the one by conception date) that we will have a girl!

thanks for the congrats. Of course, as sadly some people in this group know, seeing 2 gestational sacs now does not guarantee that we will have twins. Even though a singleton pregnancy would ease my mind a lot - now that I know that there are two, I really want both of them to be healthy! I'm enjoying them both for now - and hopefully for a long time!

Lou - I tried the new gender predictor and now it's saying boy. Hmmmm. Maybe boy/girl again? We'll see!

Kay - Have you had your first u/s yet? Betas can *indicate* twins but can't predict them. I only have one beta, but at 16dpo, my beta was 200. The average for a singleton at 16dpo is 204 and twins is more than 400. Yet, I'm having twins. You can't tell from betas. Also, don't mourn the fact that it's a singleton. Singletons have much better pregnancies and are much more likely to be born healthy and at-term. Karen, Angela and I all lost babies at around 21-24 weeks in pregnancies with twins.

Didi - Jewish tradition is not to buy ANYTHING before the baby is born. A friend just had a son on Saturday, and her inlaws and husband ran around buying EVERYTHING (crib, stroller, car seat, rocking chair, diapers, nursing pads, etc). It can be done after the baby is here! Try shopping on line so you can pick out WHAT you want, and send DH or some friends to go and actually buy it.

Karin -thank goodness we are NOT remodeling! There is a stage in remodeling where you think that things will NEVER go back to normal - but it will - and with a beautiful new part! Good luck!

KJM - welcome! Congrats on your pregnancy!

Rio - phew! Thank goodness things are okay. Try to find other women who have the offset-cord thing that you have.

Mellow -so cute that baby girls are wiggling around in there! Hopefully they don't keep you awake all night!

Nicole - getting chubby already, huh? ;) I really really hope these babies come home with us!

AFM ---- icky, pukey and exhausted. Those three words explain everything. ughhhhh.... stupid first trimester (although.... these things don't end for me in the second either....hmmmm)

Happy Friday everyone!

What's everyone doing for the weekend?

Leora -- I hope you don't end up with HG again this pregnancy! It will be difficult to hide at your new job! Congrats btw!!!

Gina -- I hope you are resting up so you can keep those babies in for another 7 weeks!

AFM -- I had a very uneventful Thursday. I did go to see my acupuncturist which I am continuing to do until I'm out of the first trimester. I see RE again on Tuesday. Other than that, I feel good. No nausea, fatigue, or anything except sore boobs.

Question for you all. Does anyone have a home fetal doppler? If so, what kind did you get and where did you buy it? Does it work well? I'm 9 weeks so I'd like to get one in the next week or so.

Lou - I have a Sonoline B 3mhz home doppler and I love it!! We were able to start finding the baby's heartbeat with it at 9w5d. It really kept me sane when I had long breaks between appointments. I'd just listen in on the little one every few days and get piece of mind. I got mine on e-bay for around $60 w/ free shipping & 2 tubes of gel. The first few times it would take a good few minutes to find the heartbeat, and I'll admit those moments are tense, but then we'd find that galloping sound and relax. And I always let DH find the h/b...made him feel more involved and not like such a 3rd party in the process.

Hi lou,
It still says girl for me, so still right...
I also have the sonoline B and love it too... I bought it at amazon and heard the heartbeat for the first time between 10 and 11 weeks...

Lou - I bought a cheap one (about $30 including shipping) on eBay - a Contec Baby Sounds B. No idea if it's good yet, since it hasn't arrived. I know that I can't use it for a few more weeks - but I have a friend who is about 20 weeks who wants to try it out! So maybe we'll play with it some even before I get to 10 weeks.

Leora - no, from some reason RE wanted me to schedule U/S only two weeks from now. I started initially with beta 300 15DPO, it was the fact that I doubled in 56 hours that made us understand it was a singleton.
I can't imagine how hard it must have been loosing babies so late in your pregnancy. Wishing you quiet and event free 8 months to go!
