To_have_fun- How exciting!!!!! Congrats over and over again to you on the positive beta!! Cannot wait to hear how much your numbers have doubled by tomorrow when you go back. I actually haven’t started my stimming yet but hope to early next week. As soon as AF comes I go in for my baseline US, but already know I will be on 225IU of follistim.

Crissy- good luck today!!! So excited for you to see your little gator (a little bball lingo). Keep us posted as soon as you get the good news.

Bliss- Im glad your time back at work wasn’t too horrible. I laughed out loud when you wrote that you wanted to tell her to be nice to you since your pregnant. In December when I was preggo there were girls I work with who always comment on my weight, and when they started saying stuff about me needing to gain weight I wanted to scream “will you shut up- im pregnant so Ill be gaining weight”. But I kept calm and just ignored the comments. Just wait because when you do finally decide to tell everyone the good news you can rub it in their faces (and hopefully get your way more lol).

Addy- Still wishing you good luck with the stimming. My fingers are crossed that they can all catch up so you go in for a great retrieval. Keep us posted when you go back on Friday for your US.

Pumpkin- Good luck today on your 1st US and bw. Hope all goes well and you are ready to get things going. I shouldn’t be too far behind you so start us out on a good note!

AFM- Lupron going good so far so nothing exciting to report. Still not much going on with me. Had another acupuncture visit the other day which was nice. Everyone can go ahead and start the AF dance for me just to bring her on early if they want. Hopefully she comes when shes supposed to on Sunday or Monday.

Blair - Gonna do the AF dance for you.. just as long as she stays away for me.

Crissy - Good Luck today!!

becca - I had my transfer on the 4th also, it was a 5dt. My clinic does beta's really early. it does help relieve some stress because we get to find out so early but also it can add more stress because the beta numbers always start out low.

Blissful - Thanks, no you weren't pestering me. I think i got really overwhelmed yesterday with everybody wanting to know my results. it is really cool knowing i have so many people cheering for me.

wehavehope- I am rooting for you on your next cycle. When are you gonna be able to do your FET?

SD - Thanks,, and so happy you got to see your little bean.. When are you released to your OB?

AFM - don't know if you saw my other post but pee sticks are evil. I did a FRER first thing this morning and it was negative. I had to do a Tammy and pull the test apart and put the test strip up to the light to see the faint 2nd line. then i did a EPT and that showed 2 lines but it was very faint. Guess i should just be happy that i saw 2 lines. now the wait till tomorrow.

Hi ladies!! Hope everyone is having a great day! In had my baseline blood work and ultrasound appt this morning the nurse said ovaries and uterus look good and I'm ready for the Stims. I will be starting gonal-f 225 starting tomorrow night and back on Monday for another U/S and bw. I also have to start the baby aspirin tomorrow. Has anyone been told to start the aspirin the same day as Stims?

Fun - congrats!! You must be feeling great to know so many care. Your baby is already loved by many!!!!

Addy - in the past when I did IUI with injectables I had one cycle where I had OHSS and the cycle immediately after the RE had me jump right in. For whatever reason my ovaries were not as easily stimulated and I did the injections for 16 days, in was given a shot to prevent my body from ovulating on it's own. They gave me the hcg on cycle day 18. My ovaries did catch up they just prolonged my cycle! By the way I did get pregnant that cycle but I miscarried. Don't lose hope, they can catch up and things will turn out normal.

Blair - it was kind of surreal today but we're finally starting. I got my new calendar and off I go. I was a little discouraged
today when I was told that the nurses rotate so I will not have the same nurse the whole way. I was hoping I could have
some chemistry with one person and bond would be with me the whole way but......I was told that I can request a specific
nurse if I want but that normally you don't see the same one. Any thoughts?

Fun- I've always been told that a slight pink line is a positive! The tests detect hcg in your urine. Therefore, if there is a slight pink line then there is hcg in your urine. Did you have an hcg trigger shot? How long ago? Don't be discouraged remember the beta starts low and then increases. Newer lose hope and faith, without it we're nothing. Keep us posted. I'm sending extra baby dust your way!!

FUN- you are pregnant... line or no line...faint or dark!!! You know this lady, you have been around the block a few times. 20 is pretty low for urine...BUT IT IS FLIPPIN' AWESOME IN BW SO EARLY. You are going to get a stellar Beta tomorrow, I can feel it.

Pumpkin- I tried really buddying up to one nurse of the many at my clinic and its tough because they have such weird days off (given that many work Saturdays and Sundays). So what I do is pretend that each nurse is my own personal nurse. There are only a few of them and at my clinic they all clearly love what they do and have a great bedside manner. I always try to talk with them a little bit when we connect voice to voice and joke a little when I leave messages (which is A LOT when you go through this process). The other thing I do is call them whenever I have a reasonable and legitimate excuse to do so. Having a connection with them helps me feel comfortable and confident. I feel like they are really rooting for me.

In fact, you just inspired me to call them and leave a message telling them I had no purpose for calling, except that I thought they might miss me and I look forward to hearing from them next week. I wouldn't recommend doing THAT on any kind of a regular basis, but I know they will appreciate it.

Bliss - that's a great plan you're working. Half the battle is the mind with this I will try your plan on Monday when I go back. I find that my group of nurses are a bit distant so far. I absolutely love the dr and feel very comfortable with him but e nurses so far aren't very warm. The clinic I was at before was the opposite I loved the nurse and the PA but didn't really care for the dr. I don't have a munchkin as a result of those treatments so I guess it's better to feel comfortable and confident about the doctor. However, I wont give up on these nurses and will try you plan. I'll keep you posted.

Fun- to add to bliss' comment I totally agree, you're pregnant! A nurse at my old clinic once told me there are always false negatives but never false positives!

I'm about to board a flight so i'll check on you guys later!

Hi all,

Does anyone know the timeframe for FET after your AF ends? Still a bit confused about the process. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Well, for me, on first day of AF's visit, I started BCP. From there it took about 35 days to get to ET which is tomorrow!

Well ladies, I guess I'm up. Tomorrow is the big day. Whew, boy am I nervous. I know the whole procedure. I've been through two ET's before. That's not what I'm nervous about, of course....you know. Whew!

Hi everyone:) I have not been part of this group but i hope you guys don't mind if I join you now, even though I'm already in my TWW. This is my second Fresh ivf attempt (I had nothin to freeze in my first ) my transfer was sunday 3/6, we transferred 2 blasts. I have been trying to take it easy since then but it is very hard to relax when this is always on my mind! Especially since I have been having cramping since 2 days after transfer :( almost like AF sometimes a bit diff but along those lines. Guys please tell me this is normal, I am so hoping for a better outcome this time for me and all of you on here! And congrats to those of you already there!

Mamaboo- I was just thinking about you and the fact that tomorrow is the big day. Fingers x'd that you get lots of good embies and they ALL fertilize. What is the latest as far as bloodwork, follies?

We- It varies so much depending on the protocol. You are on a frozen cycle, so I think it should follow a normal 28 day menstrual cycle which gives your body and lining time to get to the "receptive" stage. So if you have 3 day embies it would be around day 17 (3 days after ovulation) and for 5 day embies around day 20. But as much as I think I know this stuff, I think it ultimately depends on you and your RE and how you respond. I would ask them for an estimated date. They won't ever commit to a darn thing with any kind of certainty, but if you ask for an estimate they'll give it to you.

AFM- I am either pregnant or have bad PMS. So tired today. Plus I left the office and began my long walk to the free parking area, got there, then remembered when I didn't see my car that I had parked in customer parking and had forgotten to move my car all day. Sheesh! Sorry customers! Lol. :D :D :D I had cramps today too. I was sure that it meant AF was coming, but did some research and DUH... realized that pregnancy symptoms are identical to PMS (and of course are caused by progesterone and estrogen). In other words... I still have no clarity, but a lot of hope (even though I am a little...okay A LOT moody). The one thing that has me pretty excited is that the cramps I have are much milder and are in the tissue not in back like normal PMS. I am choosing to think they were there very last little bit of implantation, which should be complete today! I haven't had a single bit of nausea since day 2 past transfer. Who knows? Went to my AP today and I could tell she thinks I am pregnant even though she won't say it definitively. Said my pulses felt a little slippery. If she is right I am going to acupuncture for the rest of my life!

totsie- welcome! So funny!!! My transfer was one day before yours and as you can see from the post I was typing while you were sending yours, I am having the same thing. Totally feel like AF is coming and very mild cramps. Everything I have found says it is totally normal (but cramps should be very, very mild). When is your Beta? Mine is Monday. Can't wait! We are on the 2ww together.

NOOOOOO, this thing just ate my post. I spent a good deal of time with it too. Well, here I go again...

WeHaveHope: I did BCP and 2 1/2 weeks into them, I started Lupron 2/5. I did 4 weeks of Lupron and 2 weeks into that, I started estrogen patches 2/19. Two weeks into the patches, I started PIO 3/5. Six days after that is ET! Yeah! (I am excited, but nervous too.) I know it seems a bit complicated and longer than i was thinking - 6 or 7 weeks. When I met w/RE in Jan, I was surprised when he told me estimated ET would be 3/11.

Blissful: I'm doing an FET, so tomorrow is ET. No stimming this time. A little less stressful as far as appointments go. Thanks for thinking about me. :D

I read a statistic that 30% drop out of an IVF cycle due to the complicated procedures and stress. Does this sound right? I thought that sounded high.

Sorry momma- I forgot you had snowbabies and I totally knew tomorrow was ET. GOOD LUCK. And yes, 30% sounds high to me. My first reaction was that it would only be that high in states that required insurance to cover IVF. My thinking was that the only way people would NOT go through with it was if they were NOT footing the bill. But then my pregnancy brain woke up and I realized there is probably a higher cancellation rate in uninsured states, where on top of the stress and complicated procedures you get to pay $10,000 plus! I would say 1/3rd of people may go to a consultation and decide not to do it based on what is involved. That would make more sense to me. But then again, its not like those ladies are on this board. If they were they would have all the support they need and would never dream of quitting! So who knows???

Its amazing our FETs were so different. Mine was a short and simple peace of cake. I loved it...except it didn't work. :( SO....yours is better because you are totally bringing home a baby this time. :D

Crissy- Where are you??? Hopefully you got great news today and are just out celebrating.

Mamaboo- Good luck tomorrow!!!! We are all here cheering you on. Cant wait to hear how it goes.

Bliss/tootsie- Cramps are a good sign so don’t let them fool you. Im sure you both have little ones sticking tight in there! Just remember that all those crazy PMS like side effects are from the drugs and also mirror what happens in pregnancy. You are both PUPO so enjoy it. Who is going to POAS?? Anxious for the betas!!!

Wehavehope- I looked back at both of my FET protocols, and even though I had different drug regimens they both ended with the ET on cycle day 19. Ive been on a regular FET protocol that starts with Lupron and BCP and leads into estrogen pills and a patch after AF, & I was also on an increased estrogen protocol that started the same way with Lupron and BCP, then after AF I started at 4mg of estrogen and went up to 8mg + IM delestrogen daily. The increased protocol was a little too much estrogen and ended up making me sick to the point of throwing up and never eating. But no matter what both ended with the transfer on Day 19. Good luck and hope this helps.

Pumpkin- hope you had a good flight. As for your comment with the nurses I know exactly how you feel. With the last RE (we were with a yr- 3 IUI and 3 IVF) and they had a tiny office with only 7 office staff so needless to say they all knew me and exactly what was going on with me. It was great having such a family like atmosphere. With the new RE even though I like the doctor, there are so many workers its ridiculous. Its more like a baby factory – which is fine since I know Ill be ending up with one this cycle. Anyway, I have really struggled switching over but have decided that as long as they know what they are doing that’s all that matters. If you end up getting too attached to one nurse, and then for some reason that nurse isn’t there one day you could end up playing mind games- well its not going to work bc shes not here…something like that. It may be just me but I am really bad about doing that kind of stuff- I tried wearing my favorite underwear, I wore my favorite basketball team shirt to the transfer…etc. Just go in open minded and know that its going to work!

AFM- Ready for the weekend!! We have a wedding to go to tomorrow night which Im excited about and even got a new dress. Just inching closer and closer to stimming. Everyone keep doing the AF dance so she will be here maybe Sunday or Monday.
