Holy Cow, how did I miss all this action!! :)

Amanda, so sorry about your ring. It doesn't look like it was very comfortable. That is one swollen hand. :(

Leora!! Wow, Lady! Two little heartbeats?? So happy for you. :)

Lou, what a beautiful little baby you have there. I hear ya on it being the best thing you have ever seen. It's amazing! I think I am in awe every time I see one, it brings tear to my eyes.

Sonya, glad to hear all is going well with you. It's zipping on by isn't it!!

SD, the only thing I know to do that makes incontinence a little better, is kegels. I know that isn't a fix for it, but it should help at least a little.

Karin....No my girls are still nameless! We can't come up with anything! UGH.

I know I am missing a lot of you, I will try to get to you all later. Gotta run. :)

I'm back from my 25 week OB check up and I asked the doc about my slow weight gain. I gained 1lb in the last 4 weeks - overall 8lbs increased since prior to IVF. The doctor said that mom's weight doesn't suggest anything about the baby's size and weight. She said that the baby is measured by ultrasound and fundal measurements and for me not to worry about my weight either way unless I am unhealthy. In fact, she said that it's better for me to gain the way that I am instead of too much.

This week both baby and I checked out okay. Fundal measurement was slightly above norm, my BP was perfect, 1lb increase in weight from weeks 21-25, Brooke's heartbeat was good.

It's time to schedule our hospital tour and epidural class. The next specialist visit is an ultrasound to check growth @ 28 weeks. The next OB visit is an ultrasound to check baby and placenta position and blood sugar test @ 30 weeks.

okay... today's food was a pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream (New York Super Fudge Chunk) and a strawberry milkshake. Not the best, but at least I kept (most of) it down.... I'll try to eat better tomorrow, but the nausea is kicking my butt.

Here are my cuties!
Image

The big black circles are the gestational sacs, the white circles inside are the yolk sacs and the white spots on the circles are the babies! Not so good looking yet, but they will be! :D

Both babies measured CRL of 5w6d, instead of 6w1d. I'm trying not to worry about it. U/S tech, and nurses, and RE were ALL super excited for us.

Next step is to meet with my RE tomorrow and get the paperwork to 'release' me to my OB. How soon did y'all make an appt with the OB? I kinda want another u/s in a few weeks - but I might just be going crazy!

Leora~ Such a sweet first picture. :) I wasn't released from RE until I was 11 weeks. I had an ultrasound weekly until I was released. At my Perio, I have been averaging an ultrasound every 2-3 weeks, so far. Congratulations!

Leora - great US picture!!! I could never get a good picture of both the twins - twin A always blocked B - I think A is a girl. I am so happy for you. You deserve this so much. I know this is going to last!! I saw my RE up till week 8 - they did weekly US from week 6. I am now released to my OB but do not see him until 3-28. I feel like I am in another 2WW.

Lou - I love your US picture - really is starting to look like a human. Your baby is really growing strong. Do you do all the P90X videos or just the resistance. I did the cardio ones (plyo, kenpo, cardoX and core syner) up till ER but have not since. I started Chalean extreme about 2 months before IVF for resistance - it is slower, multi muscle group resistance exercises (always doing an upper body/back/or abd exercise with a lower body movement.) It seems a little easier for me and I have got back to doing those - with more rest breaks. I also ride my bike on the trainer at home - my love is mountain biking - I have been banned from the trails. I have noticed I feel a tone better now that I have started exercising more again. I think your body just craves it after awhile. You are in awesome shape and will be able to get it back very quickly after birth. I hope I can too - with twins may be a challenge.

Karin - congrats on your ticker - I struggled as well.

Amanda - wow that hand looks sore. I hope it starts going down soon.

to everyone else - thanks for all the input on the weight gain - I'm not that far along yet but it is interesting knowing what everybody is going through. It is so exciting that some of you are so close to delivery. It helps keep the PMA up and the belief that this really can happen - sometimes with all the bad you can get so worried and scared. I love reading about the successes!!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I stalk the board almost every day and try to do personals but it seems that I never get around to it. With college, step-children, pregnancy, hubby, etc....it gets so busy as I'm sure you all are as well. I just want all of you to know I silently cheer you on everyday and pray for all of you. Things are well with me. Finally a boring pregnancy except for a horrible bout of strep throat this past week. It's not fun to be sick and pregnant!

I'm so glad to see all of you are doing well. I PROMISE to do personals soon.

Kaylie :D :D

Hi Ladies,

I have been stalking this board fro a few weeks, I cannot wait to get to know more about all of you!
Background: DH and I have trying since Oct '07. We began seeing an RE in Jan '09. I joined this site when we started IVF last year. We had a successful IVF cycle in April of last year, but the embryo stalled out and we lost out little bean before we ever got to the heartbeat stage. So this time around, after we got our BFP, I decided to wait until after our heartbeat stage to join you ladies (hope you don't mind).

So today we had our sono, we are 6wks3days along with Triplets! DH and I are over the moon excited and terrified ALL at the same time. Last week, we thought we were only going to have twins, as baby C looked a little behind, but this week ALL 3 had teeny tiny heartbeats. We have a 9yr old DD who is thrilled!

As I mentioned, I look forward to going through this journey with all of you! :)

Hello ladies!!!

Leora - What a wonderful wonderful picture!!!

Klinger - I read I will have to take off my wedding ring as soon as I see a change in my hands, and I already dread it. Happy for you it can be easily repaired I can only imagine it wasn't a nice moment having it cut.

Karin1 - What a lovely ticker!!!

DRBoots - I can't believe you're having triplets! How awesome!

SDtrying - I think my favorite activity which is Pilates and core training is actually the one that is designed to resolve your issue. I know it can be a little frustrating for a real racer like yourself to start getting used to the more quietly intense rhythm of core work out - it was hard for me to start at first cause I wanted more activity, but I learned to combine it and fell in love with it. Then I also did a lot of reading and found out that since both Pilates, Core and especially using a Fit ball for your Core work out concentrates on the basin, it does miracles and strengthens it against among other issues, what you have experienced. It can help women not to need an operation, and in oppose to an operation the results stick with you if you persevere.

AFM - Still no symptoms  Tiny little bit queasy yesterday morning. I hope this does not mean my beta didn't rise enough to make me have M/S. I only checked my beta twice, and the second time was a week ago. The only thing I sometimes feel is my right nipple - only the right one! Now I have to wait another week to get my first U/S with RE. Crazy waiting! Any words on no symptoms (except for the usual being bloated from the treatment and suppositories?) When did you all start feeling M/S?
Any suggestions on when to tell everyone we are expecting? I told just very few people, but DH wants o tell his family right after our first U/S. I'm concerned that My annoying and 9 years younger SIL will have more time to insist on teaching me how to be pregnant, and also I feel like telling people after the tests at week 14 is safer. Suggestions and opinions?

Have a great day,
Kay

Karenthescorpio -- How are you and your little girl doing?

baby_blu-- Yes, I'm definitely an ab ripper X fan! Haha. Not since being pregnant though. Now for abdominals, I just do planks, 2 x 1 min each of front, right, and left every day to keep my core strong. I really hope your nurse rewrote your work note properly this time! Grrrr.

Sonya -- Sounds like your little boy is growing and doing very well. Wait.... are we "older moms"? When the hell did that happen? Ugh... lol.

Karenvancouver-- The ladies here inspired me to get a doppler. It's really cool to have. I only paid about $60, soooo worth it! Makes you feel very connected. I like to know I just have a way to check if I want that Gummy Bear is doing OK in there.

Karin-- Yay! Love the ticker!! Good luck at your u/s today! Update us with pics!!!

Rio -- Awww.... I can only imagine the love you must feel when you see you baby for the first time. I can't wait.

Happy Bunny -- Glad to hear Brooke (great name!) is growing and doing well despite your slow weight gain. Hey, the less you gain, the less you have to lose, right? What's an epidural class?

Leora -- If donuts and ice cream are all you can keep down, it's definitely better than nothing. I had my first OB appointment at approx 9 weeks. But I'm still seeing RE as well.

SD -- I hear ya on wanting to be outdoors to exercise. An elliptical is a great idea. Here's the one I have. It's really good. http://www.google.com/products/catalog? ... CDsQ8wIwAg#

Waitingkay -- I have only had a tiny bit of m/s around week 6. Now all I have is I gag on my toothbrush, but just in the mornings. Since we had a loss, we decided not to tell our families until we see them for Easter when I will be 15 weeks. My grandmother and a couple of close friends know. I will have to tell people at work a little sooner as I don't think I can hide it much longer. Do what feels right to you.

AFM --DH heard the baby's hb on the doppler last night for the first time and thought it was really cool. It took us a little longer to find it, maybe a minute or two. I think he/she was moving around because we lost it after about 30 seconds. Other than that, I'm feeling good! When did you all have your NT scans? I have an appt at 12 weeks but it doesn't seem like they're doing that at that appointment. So I don't know when I'm going to have to be back. I thought it was around 12-13 weeks? My OB office is so busy, I'll never get an appt the next week if they tell me I have to come back! Should I call now and ask?

Lou: At the hospital where we are delivering, you must attend an epidural class if you will receive an epidural (otherwise, they won't give you one). They combine the epidural class with the hospital tour and pre-registration - the whole thing is only a few hours.

Waiting: I didn't get full-blown MS until about 8 weeks. Also, we informed people of our pregnancy about 12 weeks - with the exception of my parent who knew immediately because I told them that we were doing IVF.

Also... A class that new moms might want to consider is Infant CPR and First Aid. We're being taught by the Family Advocacy Nurse on base but if you are not military, you can probably find the class through the hospital where you will deliver.

Hey Girls.

SD - I have an elliptical. I really like it and really should use it more often. indoor stuff is boring but it save some time then doing outdoor stuff. Plus when its cold and rainy which seems like it always is, i can get some excerices with it indoors. I defiantly like the elliptical a lot better then a treadmill.

Lou - Glad you got your doppler and you can hear the baby's heartbeat. Gals on another board are saying i really should get one. i think DH will look at my like i am totally crazy if i try to hear the hb all the time but then again we have never gone through a m/c. oh and i would love to have your abs. I know a lot of work which i am too lazy to do. I am the exact opposite, i love books and movies.

anyone do yoga? I was taking yoga before my transfer but have stopped these past weeks. I am gonna go back to doing yoga next week but i am kind of hesitant since we haven't seen the hb yet.

So i did a fourth beta and i really should stop doing these because now i am worried. the 4th one doubled in 52 hrs. I know they are supposed to slow down but i though that was after it reached 1000. Uggh i hate this crap. I am going to try not to freak out because it still is a really good beta or 18dpo. My numbers are in my signature. Let me know what you think.
