Katieb- See it must have been your early pregnancy ticker that helped push things along and give you that BFP so early (hopefully that’s how itll work with me too). Congrats over and over again!!!! So glad you got your BFP.

Mamaboo- Still soooo excited for you. Congrats again.

Indigo- With the progesterone injections…I got my fair share of knots usually about golf ball sized. It would usually take about a week for them to build up but then they have always lasted a few weeks after I stop the shots. In fact I have some spots towards the tops of my legs that I have lost feeling to because of the shots….but with all that being said- Id still pick PIO instead of suppositories. Sorry you got sick after dinner but hopefully its just all the hormones youre on. With the increased estrogen protocol I was on last time I ended up over the toilet a couple times. Good luck and your babies will be home with you soon.

Pumpkin- Im so sorry it took me forever to add you to the list. I thought I had added you before and realized you were missing. Sorry for the delay though. No matter when you are cycling you are welcome to stay here. Even though I may end up transferring at the beginning of april, and Ive checked out the april/may board…I just feel so comfortable with you all. They are great but I don’t feel like I have to catch up on so much here. Glad youre back and hopefully AF comes soon. Ill start dancing for you!!

Crissy- Geez cant you and that baby catch a break. Glad to hear his/her little heart was beating so strongly. Hopefully itll be smoother sailing for you now. Try to relax and enjoy the pregnancy!

Becca- Feel free to stay and hang around here. Looks like we have a lot of girls who cycled on here and are going again so we can keep this board going as long as we need to. Its great that you all can get started so soon. April 7 is not far at all.
WeHaveHope- I will start doing the AF dance for you too!!

Bliss- Don’t let the mix up at the clinic stress you out. Im sure they will be able to fit you in and youll be brining home those babies in no time. How exciting about the adoption mtg though!! Sounds like you and DH may end up with quite the family in the next year. Hoping you get the family you have always dreamed of!!

Nicnad- Good luck at the transfer today. Hopefully that little one sticks in tight and you are one of the next to see a BFP. Keep us posted on how things go and just take it easy today.

AFM- Still stimming away. Already starting to feel a little difference in my abdomen which hopefully means we will see a great # of follicles tomorrow. Had a nice acupuncture visit yday and wont go back until the day before transfer…hopefully mid next week. Getting so excited! Feel like I was waiting forever and now Im already on day 4 of stims. Woo hoo. Hopefully my pregnancy ticker is good luck. DH and I were already talking about when we would tell people we are pregnant. I was thinking around Fathers Day (June 19ish) since I would be about 14 wks. Not sure if we will be able to wait that long depending on if Im sick at the beginning or if my belly starts to show. I know its way too early but trying to be as optimistic as possible this time around.

Re: FEB / MARCH 2011 Cycle Buddies!! can't wait!

Post by katieb1231 »

Thanks Girls....I am very happy but it is always bittersweet for me because now the real waiting begins once I pass all the milestones & the dates where I MC before then I think I will relax but it is so scary to be this happy knowing what can happen I am trying to keep the PMA up but it s really hard with 5 MC under my belt......with each one a little piece of me breaks and I don't know how much more I can handle so I am praying with everything I have that these little beans stick, stick, stick & my numbers are wonderful on Friday & that I have my little beans in my arms next December!!!!

Blair - Definitely love the early ticker it worked for SD so I thought why not & it worked for me (well so far) so it is GOING to work for you too!!! You will be PUPO next week I can't believe it.....seems like forever ago we were all just starting again and now here were are at transfer dates!!! Cannot wait to hear your BFP when it comes & we will have December babies together

MamaBoo - Has it sunk in yet? I slept horrible last night thinking it was a fluke or false positive (which I know don't exist....really) but this morning I POAS again just to be sure & sure enough there was my little pink line....not dark but there..today I am 11dpo...Congrats again Mama....you gave me the courage now lets let those beans stick! Whens your Beta?

Indigo - I did not do progesterone shots this round or the time before but the time before that I did and what I did that seemed to ease the knot action was to sit on the counter so your butt or leg was big & meaty & ice it for a few minutes so it is sorta numb then inject (I used smallest needle possible I think a 16 does that sound right?) anyways then afterwards a warm to hot compress or heating pad and a little massage...a little more time consuming but seemed to work....hope that helps....also if you are in to the holistic stuff arnica seems to help to break up the clots a little too....good luck with your FET can't wait for you to be PUPO!!!!

Becca - Good luck with the new Donor!!!! I hope she produces lots of wonderful eggs for you & that you get your BFP before you know it...what is your clinics donor percentage rates?? They are usually much higher than when you use your own (at least for me they were)....on a side note....how much Lupron are you taking? I have a small amount left but if you are only taking 5 or 10 I think it should last you a while....if you want it PM me your address.....when are you starting it??

Pumpkin - Thank you, I am a total addict my husband calls me crazy & yes I will be POAS every day! If I had access to a clinic like SD does I would get BETA's every day well if my veins weren't so darn small & didn't bruise these huge obnoxious bruises with each draw I would ........

Bliss - I seem to get positives early which I always thought was a good sign....this time I am praying it is! Anyways so happy you got your scheduling figured out...this cycle I was supposed to transfer on the 17th and a day or two later I got a call from the clinic saying they would have to cancel my cycle since the RE is not available on any of the dates I have on my calendar (which he sat down & made with me!!!) and I have a note on my chart stating I will only work with my RE (Figure I am paying out of pocket my choice who I work with )...anyways I politely told them to transfer me to the RE which they did after telling me every which way of Sunday he will tell me the same thing...so guess what yeah I did my cycle & it all worked out....if this journey has taught us anything it is persistence!!!! We have to protect our own interests! So happy you are starting your adoption journey too.....it is very exciting!

I hope I didn't forget anybody but you are all on my mind I am throwing sticky baby vibes out to you all.....you are all a very strong bunch of ladies....

Hi All!

Had my FET this am. Transferred one snowbaby.. Not sure what to think..or how much to hope.. The lab worker came in and we asked about the quality of the embryo. She said that the cells of a blast usually shrink when frozen and inflate when thawed but this can take time. Mine had not inflated yet and she said that this can happen before or after the transfer. She added that blasts contain lots of cells and mine had a few that had died, but then she said it's still had many viable cells.. We asked her to categorize it on a scale of 1-10 re how good it looked and she wouldn't give a number, she just said that there were some viable cells that could lead to pregnancy... We just read into it that things weren't as optimal as they could be... I'm not gonna let this bring me totally down, but I still feel kinda sad. For the next 2 weeks, I will just keep about my usual business... We have kept the entire IVF thing secret so I sure appreciate being able to "talk" to you all...

Good luck Indigo! Let us know what happened! The bus for Crazytown has just left my house! I look fw to you hopping on!

Nicole- don't let the quality get you down. You got to bring your snowbaby home and that's all that matters. The best place it could be is with you so try to stay positive so you can end with your BFP!!! You are PUPO so try and enjoy it as much as you can. Wishing you the best during the 2ww (ill join you next wk). Know that we are always here if you need to talk.

Hi ladies, my beta is tomorrow. I'm glad I POAS, however, I look forward to the call tomorrow afternoon with my numbers. They are looking for something over 100. Boy am I tired. Is it the PIO or is it the Hcg? Feel like I could sleep for the rest of the week and not wake up. However, I'm sure I'd love to eat. My apetite has gone through the roof, but I think that is the PIO. I'm glad I have a reason to want to eat now, I don't feel so bad about my weight.

Nicole - Don't worry about the quality, when I saw my blasts I was like ummmm they don't look so good the Embryologist said when they come out of the freeze the cells swell up so they look different from a fresh blast.....he said they will look just like the others once inside me...then we had to wait a while and when they finally put them in they did look like the others so have faith yours do too it just takes some time also he said a lot of the cells can die during the freeze & the thaw that is why they want to freeze or in the case of my clinic will only freeze blasts because it is OK if some of the cells die off at that point there are more....so please don't be too down just take care of yourself nurture your baby and relish in the fact that you are PUPO!!!! Today begins a great journey!

Mamaboo - Can't wait to hear your Beta....what will you be when you take it tomorrow, I talked my RE letting me come in early but Friday is the earliest which I will be 14dpo and they too want something over 100 so I am hoping!!! My line on my HPT is still faint but takes 48 hours to double so that would be tomorrow so we shall see what tomorrow brings  As for the tiredness I am always really tired as a matter of fact just getting up from a nap...I think it is a combination of being preggers and all the hormones we are taking especially the progesterone.....Can't wait for tomorrow!

This board is really starting to move....let the BFP roll on in....

nicnad- congrats on being PUPO! I did a lot of reading about blasts and morulae on my 2ww and what happened with your blast is common. It is perfectly normal for blasts to do that and they still grow into normal embies and stick. Stay positive- the clinics won't grade them when they are compacted like that because they can't see the various areas they grade and its impossible to tell the number of cells, so they don't have anything to go on. Just imagine that beautiful embie expanding inside you into the perfect blast we know it will be. I also know that blasts like yours do better in an FET because the uterus is more hospitable, so you have every reason to be positive. Baby dust to you.

Indigo- I can't believe tomorrow is the day...time travels really fast...except of course when you are on the 2ww. I will be so excited to see how the transfer goes. All my best and much love to you, the babies, and DH on the eve of your special day!

Becca- congrats on getting back in the saddle again and finding a great donor so quickly. That's terrific!

Blair- you are so close!

Katie- thanks for sharing your story about the scheduling snafoo, we do have to be our own advocates, you are certainly right about that!

AFM- I am officially on the schedule for a late April FET. They even had a credit on my account from my last cycle (they erroneously charged me for assisted hatching) so I didn't have to pony up any cash (yet). Thats a rare and nice event!

Mamaboo- you are in my thoughts tonight and your Beta is going to be through the roof, I just know it. I will be checking in by phone tomorrow and can't wait to see the results. Wishing you a great night's sleep and baby dust my pregnant friend!

Okay ladies, I had purchased 2 digital pregnancy tests and used one Monday morning. I decided to double check and just took the other one. It is end of the day, I have been peeing like crazy for the past 2 days (one of my typical pregnancy signs), and I peed within the last 1 1/2 hrs before this. The new test also says "pregnant". :D So thankful. Held my breath for a moment. I know my peeing all the time should help reassure me...PIO makes me retain water, but pregnancy makes me pee and pee and pee, sorry if TMI. However, didn't want a nasty shock tomorrow.

indigo- Good luck today!!!! So exciting that your little ones get to come home with you today. Later today I will be adding you to the PUPO list! Keep us posted on how it goes.

AFM- Well it figures- the weather was beyond nice the past few days and in the 70s, and now its raining cats and dogs and the sky is dark grey. I was hoping for a nice relaxing drive to Cincy, but it looks like I will be clenching on to the steering wheel. As long as I get good news it will be worth it. SO excited for all of us...Im glad things are moving along.
