We have a toddler and a baby on the way and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for diaper bags, I have one from REI right now but it does nothave enough pockets and everything gets lost in one big mess. I am looking for something DH can carry or I and that has plenty of room but we can still take on a stroller. Something reasonably priced - I cannot believe the price of some of those bags right now! Some for over $200! So if you have any recommendations that would be great!!!

Hi Rio - My favorite, favorite, favorite "diaper" bag is a fly fishing bag! I got it at a fly fishing store the reason I love it is because it has tons of pockets for all the gadgets & things and has a big compartment in the middle it is a backpack which makes it easy with a active toddler & a new one I would imagine (seems like I will be finding out sooner than later!)...It is a lillypond
I have the large caribeaner hook on both my Bob & travel stroller & I just hook it to that...I think it isn't necessary to have a "diaper" bag I had some when she was first born but I find this one excellent also easy to clean which I love Good luck!!

Wow these are all great ideas. I either found utilitarian ones or really cute but something Dh would not carry around. I also need lots of pockets but would like them zippered or I found that everything gets thrown around. It would be nice if it fit in the bottom of a stroller. I wonder if I should look at diaper bags for twins... I doubt our son will be potty trained so I need two sets of diapers, two sets of clothes, etc...
I'm on my second Petunia Pickle Bottom bag and I LOOOOOOVE them! My first lasted a good 4 years, through two kids, and multiple trips (including two trips to Russia and one to Kyrgyzstan). I finally had to retire it. I bought a new one for the twins and this time it's vinyl so it stays extra clean. DH has never had a problem carrying around a girly diaper bag. He figures that as long as the kids are with him, people won't think it's his
I've had the boxy backpack both times. I need my hands free so I use the backpack part a lot, but the shoulder strap is perfect for the stroller or when I just need to grab it quick. The front also zips open to a changing pad.
Hi rio! I use the dadgear backpack diaper bag, it is not super trendy for us but dh definitely uses it without complaint since it looks like a backpack and u can have it on u and have both hands available (which I always need with the twins). It has a lot of compartments and I can fit everything I need for the twins, lets see if I can make room for one more! I can fit four straw bottles two in each pocket it has on the sides, it has room for about 10 diapers in the diaper pocket... Overall I think it is a good diaper bag...
