I was told of potential OHSS after retrieval, but not after transfer. I only transferred one embryo - we did PGD and it was chromosomally perfect. My pregnancy test is Monday, I was feeling very blotated and called the nurse and she said I should wieght myself every 3 hours ... has this happened to anyone? I don't care if it happens for 3 months as long as I can get/stay pregnant ... Lying in bed with feet elevated, husband is bringing gatorade and reg strength tylenol. What else can I do and does this mean the pregnancy is likely not happening?
I have not personally had OHSS. However, I have heard of ladies having it that went on to have successful pregnancies. You are more likely to get OHSS if you become pregnant and it is usually more severe also. However, I do not think it is likely to cause your pregnancy to end.

It probably means you ARE pregnant. OHSS can result from an hCG trigger or from the hCG produced by a pregnancy. This is about the time hCG would start showing up from a pregnancy.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
I have seen several cases where a person was just fine and several days after transfer they started to get signs of OHSS. In all cases they were pregnant. Hope your OHSS subsides and Good Luck!!

I got OHSS a few days after ET and lucky enough it was because I was pregnant! As soon as the baby put HCG in my blood I balooned up. Pls follow up with RE and drink gatorade, V8 and eat salty stuff. It went away slowly.
I too got OHSS that started about 5 days before my blood test. I too was told that this was a positive sign of pregnancy so in a way, you want it to continue... I gained 9+ lbs in less than a week and ended up being drained twice (unpleasant... but manageable and the relief you feel is worth it...).. I was reassured that it doesn't affect the outcome of the pregnancy whatsoever. Sadly for us, likely due to a genetic issue, it stopped growing and I m/c at 10 weeks... But this was not the OHSS. Drink lots of gatorade and eat some fibre cuz you get "plugged up" so to speak: ) I know it's a tough start, but think of the end result!
I had moderate OHSS after the transfer. I was pregnant and felt 4-5 months pregnant from the get go!
Went on to deliver a healthy baby full term. So as ironic as it sounds, enjoy your OHSS!
