Hi All, it's been way too long! We've been incredibly busy already this year and just took Audrey on her first ski trip :) We go every year, but hadn't been since she was born. We had a blast, got to play in the snow, and decided that next year for sure she will get on the slopes with us! We took our extended family, so had lots of aunts and grandparents to watch her while we skied. Anyhoo, other than that we're just getting ready to celebrate her 2nd birthday, where did the time go??!!!?? This has been the most amazing 2 years of our lives and we could not have been any more blessed, what a wonderful little girl. She's talking up a storm (gets that from her Mom) and counting in English and Spanish, so that's pretty exciting too.

Well we're going for our last round of IVF, starting next week. We had a miscarriage in September and are now ready to go again. We'll start Lupron next week and then stims on the 14th, so I'm ready to get going and get Audrey a sibling to play with :)

Hope everyone else is doing well, celebrating 2 year birthdays or getting ready to!

Talk to you soon,
Ang

Hey everyone!

Jack turned 2 almost 3 weeks ago! I don't know where the time has gone! He is doing great! Not really talking much, but I guess thats normal with boys. He is a great sleeper, which is good becasue so am I! We havent had any good news with the adoption process yet....just a couple almost matches, we are hoping for something soon. We are also looking into embryo donation too, so if anyone knows of anyone who wants to donate, please let me know.

Ang-- Well I hope this last round works for you! Fingers crossed!

Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying 2nd birthday parties!!!!

Hi All - Well our IVF journey has come to an end, this last time was not successful. We transfered 2 embryos but neither took, which I figured would be the case since neither looked that great. Our RE is recommending that we not waste our money/time/emotions on another round, based on our previous 3 IVF's and the fact that my egg quality is just not that good. We have a consultation in a couple of weeks, but he's recommending that we use donor eggs, if anything. DH and I have briefly discussed using my sisters eggs, but we're going to take a few months off to try and get our heads around the negative result and take a break from all of the chaos. I really want Audrey to have a sibling, and of our own genes would be great, so just need to try and find peace with the fact that I'll never have another child from my own genetic makeup and the next best thing would be my sister's.

Well Audrey had her 2 year checkup yesterday and is doing great! She's 28.10 lbs and 37.5", so growing like crazy :) We're having a wonderful time watching her grow (although it's WAY TOO FAST), and just really enjoying having a such a beaufiful little girl! She's definitly hit the terrible 2's, which I know is normal, but otherwise she is absolutely perfect. I'm thankful every single day that she came into our lives, what a blessing.

I hope everyone else is doing great and enjoying your little one's. Take care.

Hey Ladies!

ANg-- I am so sorry to hear that your last cycle didnt work! I understand wanting to have another. We are still waiting on adoption....I hate not being able to do anything but WAIT! But thats all I can do. SOmeday we may do an embryo donor transfer, but for now we are just waiting for an adoption. Take time to heal and see if your sisters eggs may be a good option for you.
So here is my worries for the time....Jack is 26 months....he doesnt talk much! I know everyone always says that boys are slower to talk than girls, but even the boys his age seem to be talking more than him. He does talk, just not very much and not that anyone can really understand other than me. The pediatrician said there is nothing to worry about becasue he is using two word phrases...but he has been using the same two word phases for months....he does try new words sometimes, but not very often. He has made progress this month, but I am still worried. The only reason I havent looked into speech therapy is because he knows everything I am saying. He can point out anything I ask him to and total understands all instructions. My cousins is a speech pathologist and also said he is fine, but I just worry. Anyone else have this problem, or know someone who has? Other than that..he is a perfect little peanut! He is soooo social and playful and even though he tests me alot these days, he is such a good little boy and we are so lucky!
On a positive note-- we have been in contact with a teenager that has choosen us for adoption. She is very unsure though and changes her mind often, so I havent gotten my hopes up. SHe is only 16 weeks along but she did invite us to go to her u/s next week to fine out the gender! So we have out fingers crossed!
