Didi - congrats! I can't wait to see pictures of your beautiful baby girl! Hearing success stories keeps all of us in the first trimester sane and focused on the goal!

Lou - seriously? It would suck to get that kind of reaction. Do they know how hard you were trying? Did you tell them last time? I'm sorry hon. Everyone here is cheering you on!

Ryann - I get the same reaction when I tell people about our journey so far. They don't understand why we are so desperate to have kids since we are so young. I get "well, why don't you wait a few years?" from EVERYONE, including my own mother. UGH. So what that most people I know waited until they were 30 to have kids? I want kids NOW (well, actually 3 years ago). Ugh. We will be great moms, even if we are young.

Chris - we were having sex right after the BFP - but we had to stop again because I had a big bleeding episode. I think you'll be fine. Just be gentle and don't freak out if you have a bit of spotting. Just a few more days until your u/s!

Nicole - I'm so glad your niece is doing well! Any idea when she'll get to come home? They say in general that preemie come home around their due date.

Jamila - hello April buddy - I can't believe how close you are getting to the end! She'll be here in no time! :)

AFM - I'm bouncing between stressing out like crazy and being quite confident that things are fine. I met with my new super-duper high risk OB on Thursday. He said that since I haven't had any bleeding, I can stop the bed rest and just take it really easy. He said one trip out of the house per day would be fine. Phew.
I'm still on pins and needles for my u/s on Sunday. Since the babies were both measuring small last week AND this is just about where I lost my last pregnancy (at exactly 8 wks I had an u/s that showed no hb), I'm actually freaking out a little bit.
Things are tense here, but hopefully after Sunday we'll both relax.

DLK - super congratulations! Can't wait to see pics

SD - thanks for the updates and I am so glad everything worked out well for your SIL and little one, that was so scary. What a relief, your update me got me teary eyed with joy.

Leora- Sunday is almost here!

to-have-fun we had a vanishing twin so my oB did not want us to have sex so as to not cause a miscarriage of both. We waited a long time, we finally had sex last weekend at 21 weeks and I was so sore inside probably unrelated but my abdomen has been really sore, sore to get up and bend over to pick something, yesterday I think I was having braxton hicks and I had to lay down and finally feel a bit better.

AFM - enjoying my last day as a 39 yo, yickes and tomorrow celebrating my 10th anniversary of my 30th birthday!!!! :)

I have a pair of designer MA (Maternity America) Los Angeles skinny jeans for sale at $20. They are a Large, but you must be no bigger than a 10 for them to fit comfortably. They are adorable, dark-wash, skinny jeans, under-the-belly band. I wore them only twice in my previous twin pregnancy before growing out of them. I can't fit into them now either. :( I paid over $100 for them. If anyone is interested, please PM me.

Rio- Happy, happy Birthday! Welcome to the 40's club!!!

Leora/SDtrying- Hang in there. All will be ok. Your anxiety and concern is completely normal. Unfortunately, this concern will always lurk in the back of your mind until baby arrives. I have found positive thinking...even sitting and visualizing the birth of my baby and "feeling" my reaction helps so much. Redirects my mind from the concern/worrisome feeling that is hard to shake. But as you a ladies know, a loss at any time changes how you view pregnancy. We are strong and can handle this!!!!! xo

AFM- It's 2:50am and I'm wide awake. Pregger's sleep stinks! I'm doing ok and thank God for this little girl growing inside me! I can't wait to meet her! xo

Rio - Happy Birthday!! I hope you have a great day!!

SD - I agree, it's really hard to shake that anxiety but just keep thinking positively. I was a bundle of nerves until 12-13 weeks when we had my TAC surgery. I was still speaking in "ifs" in case the baby didn't make it through my surgery ok. Then it's been the wait to get to 24 weeks which was my next "goal". Now we've hit that and we're still plugging along nicely. Positive thinking has greatly outweighed my nervousness, but it's always been there in the the back of my mind. The visualization that Karen mentioned has been the best way to pull myself out of nervous moments.

Leora - Can't wait to hear about your great u/s tomorrow! I know you've been worried but I think everything is going to look wonderful tomorrow.

Hello ladies! Sometimes I do great at reading posts everyday, and then, like today, I get on after a couple days and have 4 pages of posts to catch up on!

Leorira-I'm thinking about & praying for you this weekend. Can't wait to find out about your ultrasound tomorrow & hearing that your twins are perfect! I get the whole "being young" thing. When we told people about us trying, a lot of them said that "it will happen when it happens" and that we have plenty of time. Well, good thing we started trying when we did, because due to DH's variocele veins, we were told his count will be 0 (it was less than a million when we had it tested) and that they couldn't give us a timeline when it will get to that. If we waited until we were older to start, we could have already been to late to have a child that was ours (I would have adopted before I used a sperm donor). I think we will be great mommies, especially after all we've been through to become one!

Lou-I can't believe that your family reacted like that and you were able to just shake it off & ignore it. I don't think I could have sat there after the first comment. People can be so insensitive sometimes! As for testing, we decided against it, which I know isn't the most popular choice, but we decided we loved this baby no matter what & if there was something wrong, we would/will deal with it when the time comes. Also, due to family history & our ages, we are at a low risk anyways.

DandMe-I wish I was in Mexico! We had temps in the 70's early this week, and now tomorrow the forecast is calling for 2 1/2 inches of snow! This weather is horrible on my sinuses & I'm ready for warmer temps to come & stay. Of course, warmer weather means it will be closer to summer & closer to our little ones being here!

To-have-fun- We had sex the day before my first ultrasound. That next day the Dr. said that it was fine for us to have sex (before we even got to ask the question!). I did experience some light cramping the first couple times but it would only last a couple minutes. This only happened the first couple of times.

Sorry that I haven't responded to everyone, there's so many of us now!

AFM-the vertigo did go away on it's own & I'm doing much better. I'm officially in the 3rd trimester! Tomorrow I'm 28 weeks & have to start my kick counts. She's pretty active so I don't think this will be a problem. I had an appointment on Thursday & the OB said I'm "beautiful" and everything is going as it should (I measured at 26 weeks with the tape but it wasn't a concern for her).We start our birthing classes on April 5th. We are doing 4 weeks of classes on Tuesdays. I would have preferred 1 Saturday class, but my DH works 3rd shift & has to work every Friday night. There's no way he would have made it through an all day class on Saturday after working Friday night, and I didn't want him snoring in the middle of it! For now, I'm off to get ready for a bridal shower. I'm a matron of honor in my best friend's wedding in May. Yes, that means I will be in a bridesmaid's dress at 34 weeks & 6 days pregnant. I'm glad that everyone should be looking at the bride that day & not the whale standing next to her dressed in lime green!

Nicole: I totally hear you. It is really hard to shake the worry after you have experienced a m/c. I am glad that your u/s went well! Try to let every positive build up your faith that all is well. It is all we can do! Hang in there!! I am right with ya, or right behind ya, in the worry category.

Leora: Can't wait to hear your wonderful news tomorrow!! Sending lots of positive thoughts your way!!!!

AFM: Not much to report. Counting down the days until Tuesday. 1st u/s in the afternoon. It will be a bit late for the 33-36 dpo that article Sonya had recommended (I think) about predictive value. But I am hoping and praying for wonderful reassuring results.
