katie,
I know you must be feeling discouraged right now with a slowly rising beta, but the doctor is wanting you to come in for another test next week. So don't you give up yet! Please know that I will be praying for another miracle to happen for you!

Riogirl,
Happy Birthday Eve! I LOVE your outlook on life. It's not about the years, it more about the LIFE in those precious years and I know good things are coming your way!

GreekChick,
PUPO mama you are going to be just fine, now try to enjoy these precious moments without driving dh insane lol.

Anton,
I will have to check out Dexter... It shall be our next sitcom together :-) Doesn't sound like DH wants to play the waiting game, but tell him good things will happen for those who wait. Seriously we cannot predict what's going to happen, but only is it healthy to think positive to send out good vibes to the baby and all. So that's our new moto: "Thinking Positively and Sending out Good Vibes to Bean"! lol but why not?

Margi-Moma,
I'm anxious to see how your next u/s goes! HOW many babies is the real question. This is really exciting!

Update: Interview went over great! Seems like it would be a fun-filled environment and they just love having DQ ice-cream...lol
Not sure about the pay, but the commute is about 40 minutes from my house, on the beach side close to a shopping resort. They do know dh and I are trying to start a family, hence part-time, but hopefully that doesn't cost me. I rather be upfront and honest as much as I can. I start birth control tonight and go in for my first scan on Wednesday. 3 hours later: I'm so upset because I receive a bill in the mail for $527.60 from my Anesthesiologist (Laproscopic Surgery) and then only 5 minutes later I get a call back from Ascend pharmacy telling me my new insurance with my husband is not covering my IUI meds. Plus I had 600 mg of Follistim that was opened in my frig (left over from my 1st IVF) but who knew it expires in 30 days once its opened? That is what the pharmacy told me, I personally think they are out to rob us!

Crikey, loads and loads of posts since i last looked.

Katie - I'm so sorry to hear that your beta isn't doubling. Looking at your signature, you've been through one heck of a journey. I'm thinking of you and the hurt you must be feeling at the moment.

Rio - yay for the big 40!

Greekchick - don't stress too much about whether you're doing the right or wrong thing. My RE said there is no evidence to say that bed rest helps implantation. However, I do believe that you shouldn't do anything strenuous and that you should give your body a bit of a rest - both physically and emotionally. Hard to have a mental rest during the 2ww I know!

Anton - people react differently under stress. My DH is also a pessimist and it sometimes drives me crazy as the brakes seem to get put on all the time!! Hang in there. It will get better.

Sunshine - it's so wrong that you have to stress about finances when you already have so much on your plate.

Tammy - it was lovely to see your name again but then again I was so hoping that you'd be over on the Mama board by now. You have incredible strength. This year is going to be our year. :D Last year was a crap one.

Margi - man, I cant wait till your ultrasound.

Leora - I live in New Zealand. IVF is publicly funded if you are under 40 and have explained infertility. I'm 41 now and have unexplained infertility so unfortunately our IVF cycles are self funded. You are so lucky having it all funded in Israel. I can understand that this must be a really stressful time for you during your pregnancy. Hang in there. What you're feeling is perfectly normal after what you've been through.

Lou - how you doing Mummy? You must be due for the 12 wk scan soon. :D

Sunshine - I too am a firm believer in being up front. I applied for a job at the ease workplace but in a different team just before my last FET transfer. I let the Manager of that team know that I was about to go through IVF again and that I may end up pregnant. She was absolutely fine with it and really appreciated being told. Being honest shows good integrity.

AFM - finally got an appt with the geneticist on 5 April to discuss the baby's post mortem. DH and I have decided that if we get the okay to go ahead, we'll wait till next month to start the next cycle. April is a really busy month for both of us. So best to start on my next Day 1 if we're given the green light. I must admit I'm a bit scared at hopping on the roller coaster again. A strange mix of excitement and fear. :?

I'm waiting for DH to get back with the car and then I have to take my poor cat to the vets. He gets a blocked willy from time to time. This morning he's licking his bits a lot which is usually the first sign that things are not good. I don't want him to end up blocked as it's Sunday tomorrow. Best to get him seen to sooner rather than later. Having a blocked willy mustn't be nice at all.

Katie: (((HUGS))) I understand your feeling that it is “over” but your RE doesn’t think so. I will pray that you are in that 15% that continue with a normal pregancy. I think Monday will really be the deciding factor. Hang in there. I don’t know why this has to be so difficult. (((MORE HUGS)))

Anton: Do you ever try to do surprising outrageous things when he is being a pessimist? Like giving him a good hard kiss....or something goofy? For some couples, that breaking of the “heaviness” can work--for others it can just make them mad. You know your DH better than anyone. Regardless, hang onto your PMA!!! Just a few more days until beta...And wait, I think DH has the stats wrong. It is 65% PER blast, and 50% overall of ending in baby. So with two transferred, that gives you a 88% probability that you will be pregnant, and 75% chance of a viable baby. That is pretty good odds my friend!!

Leora: U/S on Sunday for you? Awesome....just 2 more sleeps. Have a peaceful Shabbas and I will send all the positive energy I can across the ocean. All will be well. You will see two wonderful HBs and will be sharing a picture with us. Can’t wait!!! If will be just the boost in PMA I need to help me make it to Tuesday. Yes, I am being selfish. I want you to get your good news so that I can feel happy for you!!

Sunshine: Glad the interview went well...sorry to hear about the med woes. What progesterone support will you be using? If Crinone, I could help there...

Tess: Glad to hear that you have a date. 4/5. Around the corner. Hoping you get some good answers that rest your minds. It is always a mixture of emotions when you get started. Oh! Sorry to hear about your fur-baby kitty. Hope his “willy” gets unblocked! That doesn’t sound pleasant.

AFM: Exhausted. That is all I can say. A bit of fleeting nausea at times in the morning, but not really that bad.

HAVE a wonderful weekend strong women!!!!!

AFM- Went to Er yesterday, they are pretty sure its a broken bone, I told them I may be pregnant and I was concerned about the xray... They said to put my mind at ease they will wait til Thursday to do xray but that they have to do one so they know if I need surgery... If I can walk on it Thursday things could be ok and then it could have just been sprained... Please pray things look better thursday... What are your guys thoughts on xrays??? They said they can put a jacket over pregnant women when taking them and it will be fine but I am too nervous... Dr said he understood and he would wait so I am not saying what if's on Weds... Hi everyone! :D

Rio- HAPPY BIRTHDAY girlfriend!!!!!!!! Image:D :D :D ...Happy birthday to you!, happy birthday to you! happy birthday dear Rio, happy birthday to you!!!!!! :D ...you will will have your present on Tuesday honey due to well known technical reasons! ...your birthday will pass but a gift is a gift! right! :D ...SO this is the big 20!! Congratulations to the 40 yr old sexy mama! ...didn't you know that moms at their 40's look sexier!.. ...ask your hubby! I am sure he will agree with me! :D ...don't forget its just a number! its how you feel that counts !! ...btw, please remind me that when I hit 40 in 3yrs! ...I wish you with all my heart all the goodies in the world but most of all I wish you a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby! :D ((hugs)) xxx :D Image Image

Leorira- I can't help it dear, but since I've read your post yesterday regarding my spotting, "...spotting could be fine, or it could be bad.." I haven't been able to get it out of my mind! :( Not that you are wrong about it, actually you are absolutelly right, is just that no one else told me that up to now and I guess it feels different when we see something written even if we allready knew it. Amazing how a few little words can mess you up. Anyways...I am doing my best to keep up my PMA! :) ...I wish you all the best in tomorrows u/s! I am going to pray that everything is going to be just fine! :D Image

Katieb- Honey I am so sorry your numbers are not the ones you expected but that doesn't mean this is over! Listen to your doctor and go again on Monday to do another beta! Anything can happen if you believe in it! I will pray for you and your little bean to fight and be strong! I refuse to loose hope on you! Image

Sunshine- I like your moto! "thinking positively and sending out good vibes to bean"! Congratulations on your new job! sorry about the insurance not covering. thats a bammer I know! ...and the meds expiring...look at the positive side though, you are going to start a new job and new cycle! all new beginings are great! All wish yo all the best on both! :D Image

Tess- Thanks for the advice :D ...btw excitement and fear are part of the game! All the best in your new cycle!! may you get the green light soon!!!! :D Image

Kynlee- Honey So sorry about your ankle! I will pray things will get better until Thurdsay! and also for Wednesday, to bring you that BFP!!!! :D Image

Margi- thanks for the advive on my DH my friend! Trust me!!! I do a LOT of suprising outragous things to him!! ...this is actually on of the things he loves about me... :D I just have to try keep up my PMA no matter what! about those statistics...that 50% overall of ending in baby is the one that troubles him!!! he thought it was going to be 100% once we get that BFP! He goes...what happens to the other 50%!...m/c ?, geneticall problems? sperm issues?...just b/c his sperm issue brought us in ivf, whatever goes wrong and we get a negative or something he believes is his sperm fault. OMG! I do understand him and feel so bad he is feeling this way and I try to be supportive as much as I can but trust me! sometimes I feel I am allready raising a child! ..OK! 2 more days to u/s day!!! Yay!!! Can't wait to see how many buns are in the oven!!! :D Image Image Image Image Image

AFM- so far so good! no spotting today! :D I will take it as a good sign! :D so we went to the kids birthday party and we had a good time :D ...I believe we where the only ones there with no kids of their own!! scary!!! :D and the ones that didn't have they where pregnant! double scary! I guess all the people of our age group already have children or starting now their families....i would like to think that we might have started ours too! we are going to a friends place for dinner tonight, their baby is due on the April 13th and they have asked us to be Godparents. ...another friend of ours is going to be there too (he just got married after knowing his wife 5 months) and my DH told me today that last week this friend went to his office and told him that his wife might be pregnant ...he missed her period by 3 days. So tonight we might hear news that they are excpecting. God bless people having children! and please bless us lesser kids to have children too! ...2 more days to my BFP! :D

Baby dust to us all and lots of tons of sticky vibes!!! Image

Kynlee- I am a x-ray technologist. This is one question I can answer.lol Yes as long as they put the lead apron on you the baby will be fine. We use very little radiation for an ankle bc it is not a thick body part. If you want make them double up the apron over your stomach to put your mind at ease :) I hope this helps if you do have to end up with x-rays.

Amanda- what are your thoughts on dental x-rays? I'm due at my cleaning on April 20th but was wondering if I should decline??

Everyone- I'm reading every day and full of PMA for my PUPO girls.

Anton- If you've stopped spotting then I'm sure it was related to implantation. I didn't have any implantation spotting but I looked for it and wished for it because it's a telltale sign! Are you going to poas?

Greekchick- No, you don't need to feel anything to be pregnant. Most don't. Some do feel mild cramping at implantation but aren't sure that's what it was until bfp. You transfered 4, you're chances are great. What is your age? How many cycles have you done?

Katieb- I was thinking about your beta. Perhaps you had a vanishing twin? I'm praying you still have a bean in there. Were these your last frosties?

Kynlee- I'm so sorry about your ankle! I hope it's not broken.

Have a great Sunday! I'm taking my Grandma out for lunch and shopping!

Thanks Everyone we are just hanging tough until Monday & praying for the best outcome possible.....We do have four frosties left but we don't want to use them we want this baby to live! We keep asking it to wake up & join us and how badly we want to meet it and that we love it already. Yes Lou, could be a vanishing twin early, apparently this happens a lot and we would never know except for the fact I called the clinic & begged for a 12dpo Beta.....so moral to my story is wait till your Beta day for real results....RE called me yesterday & said at this point any rise is going to be good for me because now they done't know what my starting point was since it could have been a vanishing twin which will mess the Beta up completely.....UGH sometimes my type A'ness really f's me up.......Here are some interesting facts though......

As many as 15% of all pregnancies (no matter how conceived) have a irregular rise in hcg during the first 8 weeks. Although all over the internet it talks about doubling every 48 hours it is actually every 48 to 72 hours so if you have your test at 48 hours and it did not double it actually doesn't mean much until after the 72 hour mark is when they begin to worry (damn wish I knew that then I would have waited!)

I did POAS this morn just to see if it would still be BFP and thank god that little line came up took forever but within the 3 minutes there it was so I was happy to see it......I think it might even be a tad darker than it was on Thursday which was the last day I did it....I am praying for something anything tomorrow but at least 10 to 15 points....I have been doing my meditation, moxa (acupuncture voodoo incense like stick) and taking all my herbs plus drugs.....god please grant me this one little wish.....please
