Mellow - Thank you so much for your kind words. I am finally starting to feel a little better although still in shock that all this occurred. Apparently, my dad had a sit-down with my brother this morning and explained to him in a calm manner about how his behavior has been out of control lately and that he should see a psychiatrist. Surprisingly, he agreed to calling my uncle who is a psychiatrist to get him a referral to one of the best psychiatrists in the area. Dad even got him to throw out his cigarettes. I am still a bit skeptical about all this working, but at least it's a start. Still not going to speak to him for all the pain he has caused my DH and I, but hoping that he snaps out of it soon for his own wellbeing.
Amanda - what a sweet family you have! Thanks for sharing the pics & thank you for your kind words.
Margi - thanks again for your PM. It really did help me feel a lot better.

Can't wait for your U/S on Tuesday! Anxious to find out how many you have cooking in there! I have mine scheduled for the same day in the morning as well. Hoping to see an active baby in there.
Barbara - thank you so much!

Although I'm an RN and have taken CPR courses a few times, I think I'll pay an extra close attention when I renew my CPR certification this time, especially when covering the infant material.
Karenvancouver - I feel like my hormones are out of control all the time and get emotional over the silliest of things and I'm only 10 weeks so far. Hey, at least i'm 1/4 way there! lol Hope you got yourself some "me" time since then.
Ryann - thank you for sharing your story and I'm so glad to hear everything worked out between you and your brother and that he's going to be one of your baby's godfathers. That's great! Maybe a few years down the road, we, too, can mend our relationship. At the present time, I really don't see that happening anytime soon. So sorry to hear about your heart issues! I hope everything turns out fine.. please keep us updated. Happy to hear you're finally able to keep some food down though! Only took half your pregnancy!
Lou - My NT is scheduled a week after yours on the 13th. I'm just looking forward to seeing our baby on the screen and trying not to overthink it. According to my Mayo Clinic book on pregnancy, a CVS can be done anytime between 9-14 weeks of gestation, so you can still schedule it after your NT. Hoping for positive, reassuring results for you, however!
Rio - how amazing that your son's name is Alexander! We decided on baby names way back in 2009 when we went to Italy. If we have a boy, we're going to name him Alexander Maximus (meaning Alexander the Greatest) and if it's a girl, then Athena Mariah. Can't wait to finally attach a name to this baby of ours. Hope you had a great time celebrating your 10th anniversary of your 30th birthday!
Didi - Congrats on your precious bundle of joy! Looking forward to seeing Rachel Elizabeth's pictures! So glad to hear you both are doing well.
Nicole - so glad to hear your niece is doing well. She really is a trooper! Bless her heart. Glad to hear the good U/S results of your baby. The worry just never ends.
Chris - We were told by our RE that we can resume having sex when we saw a heartbeat, which was exactly at 6 weeks. We were still hesitant and wanted to wait another week despite DH going crazy. Soon after, however, DH got the most horrible flu/bronchitis and is now finally starting to feel a bit better. I, on the other hand, feel nauseous and lightheaded most of the day, so my sexual appetite is pretty low these days. Poor DH!
Leora - really looking forward to your U/S results tomorrow! Just read your update.. YEAH for your babies doing so well! So happy for you, hun. Enjoy that pregnancy of yours and keep your worries to a minimum now!
Deidraj - congrats on reaching third trimester!! How exciting! I'm sure you'll look beautiful with your bump at your best friend's wedding! I love how cute prego mommas look during their 3rd trimesters.
AFM - Finally picking myself up after the incident with my brother. Found out my dad got into a car accident that same night he got released from the ER for gastritis. He fell asleep behind the wheel, hit the freeway divider and injured his shoulder with a clavicular sprain, I believe. He landed in ER again the very next day. Now he can't work for another month or so. My mom also recently got diagnosed with varicose veins and is finding it very difficult to walk w/out pain. I just hate seeing my parents in pain and wish I could do something to alleviate it.

I have my next OB appt scheduled for Tuesday and then an NT scan on the 13th. Really looking forward to seeing my baby on the screen. I miss him/her sooo much and can't wait to start feeling the kicks. However, I've been told that it looks like I have an anterior placenta, so it may take a while for me to start feeling the baby move, huh? Bummer.
A question for those with PCOS and taking Metformin. How long into your pregnancy did you take the medicine? Is it safe throughout pregnancy or only the first trimester? I've heard conflicting stories and my OB did not know the answer (stupid).. It's nearly 1 AM and I'm out of my meds so need to stop by the local walgreens drivethru to pick up my refill. I guess I'm off..
Happy Sunday, everyone!
