New Here and First Cycle

Hi Everyone,

My partner and I are just starting out and if all goes well will have our first cycle in April. I'm 32 and have been battling endometriosis for years (horrible pain, ER visits, etc). My partner is 30. We tried to conceive but ended up back in the ER before visiting my RE. She recommended IVF, but at that time, we just weren't ready for that step and needed a break. I've been on Lupron for the past year, feel great, and am now ready to try again. We go in for all of the diagnostic tests next week that we haven't already done and if all goes well will be starting our protocol the first week of April. We're trying to be positive and hope that I don't end up back in the ER.

It sounds like our ivf cycles are going to be close. My cycle is due to start this Friday so I will start my meds cd2. Good luck I hope you can stay out of the er

Thanks! I hope your cycle is going well. My RE said that I should be able to as they'll continue to suppress if this first cycle doesnt take and then we can do a simulated cycle next time. That was a relief.

I am on my fourth day of meds, tomorrow will be my first u/s to see how things are going. My first cycle I had e/r on cd 13 so that would be next Saturday if things run the same course. I really hope we both get the babies our hearts desire

You're a little earlier than I am. I am just ordering my meds today. DH and I are doing the injection class and getting final test results. Everything still on course? How did your u/s go?

Everything went good I had e/r on Thursday and as of today I have six 4 celled embies with 2 rated good and 4 excellent!! We are doing e/t on Tuesday.

How are things going for you? How was your class?

That's great! I'll think good sticky thoughts for you tomorrow. Everything else going well?

Class went fine. I think my abdomen knows what's coming since it hurt the entire time we were practicing. Meds arrived on Friday, so DH has everything lined up and ready to go for tomorrow. We start Lupron tomorrow and then Follistim/Menopur on Saturday, so its coming quick. Its kind of nerve racking, but exciting too. DH is trying to keep stress level low for me, but its hard to do when my basement looks like a construction zone (remodeling bathroom) and I'm applying for a new job, something I've wanted to do for years and the opportunity finally presented itself, so we'll see if he succeeds.
