FEB / MARCH 2011 Cycle Buddies!! can't wait!

HI Ladies,

I would love to join you. I had my ET on Feb 16 and am now 9 weeks pregnant. I have one more u/s with my RE before being referred and I am hoping, praying to get to that point.
I have one son from my 1st IVF who's almost 17 months. After a failed FET in Sept, we gave it one more try with our remaining last embies and were unbelievably lucky to get a BFP.
I am 41 so this is our last shot for a 2nd baby. I had a m/c at 6 weeks during my 1st pregnacy where I lost one of the twins. I am therefore a bit scared, but so are all the brave women on this board.

Bliss-Thanks for all of the detailed information. I pray that everything works out. Our FET's keep being pushed back but I think that God is just watching over our babies and wants yo have them return to us when
conditions are perfect. We need to keep up the PMA.

AFM-No AF yet. Everyday, I feel like she is going to come but nothing happens. Praying that FET will be sometime in May.

Blair: Sorry that ER was rough...but glad to hear you got such a terrific # of eggs. Hoping for an awesome fert. report!! Rest up...you are going to be PUPO very soon!!

Katie -please don't feel guilty we've all had our moments and that is why we joined this group. Please feel free to vent, we are here for you.

Bliss - sounds like the timing will be perfect. I'm glad the RE is going to do a sonohysterogram that way you can be sure before your FET that all will be perfect. I had it done in december and there was cramping only during the procedure after in was ok. I had some minor spotting no big deal. He's confident that you should be pre go so it's going to happen!

AFM- I'm on day 3 of bc patiently awaiting til I'm done with these then on to AF and back on the roller coaster. Trying to live as normal as possible exercising and enjoying my time with DH.

Pumpkin-That's great that you are spending time with DH. This whole process is so stressful on us but also on our DH's and the relationship. Hormones, appointments, restrictions, etc.... I could go on and on. Enjoy the rme with DH. You both deserve it.

AFM-No AF yet but I feel like tonight or tomorrow maybe it. I'll keep my fingers crossed. At this point I would love to get this part over with and start looking forward to my FET. But, I am staying positive no matter what!!!

Blair - ER sounds horrible but congrats on 15 eggs. Can't wait for your fert report. Are you going to do a 3dt or a 5dt?

WehaveHope - hang in there AF will be here when you least want her to be. haha plan a special weekend with DH and she will show.

Nancy - Congrats on your pregnancy. you've hit 9 weeks so almost out of the 1st trimester. Are you have any major symptoms?

indigo - When is your beta? I still feel like AF is about to come and i will be 7 weeks tomorrow. Still could be a BFP!!

Bliss - Good luck with your sonohyst.. i have had those done a couple of times, no big deal at least for me it wasn't. glad to see your RE is being proactive and trying to find out why your embies aren't implanting.

Katie - i am so sorry that this cycle didn't work out. Hope you can come up with a plan to bring a baby into your arms. Do you know what you might do next?

AFM - Guess I'm just hanging out. Counting down the days till first trimester is over so that i can take a sigh of relief and say another hurdle has cleared. I think everyone knows that I am preggo now so if something goes wrong it is really gonna suck to tell all the bad news. I am just thinking good thoughts and know this little bean is stuck for another 7+ months. As far as symptoms go, i still pretty much have none. Only thing i can tell is that i am overly tired all the time. all shots stop a week from Sunday. YEY!!!

All- quick update. They called to let me know that 10 of 15 are fertilized. As of right now I am scheduled for a 3 day transfer on Sunday @ 9am....but she said they would call me on sunday morning around 7 to let me know if we are switching to a 5 day transfer. I know 10 is a great number but Im a little disappointed since our last cycle we had 13 of 13 fertilize and only ended up with 8. Fingers are crossed that all 10 of those little ones pull through. I go in tomorrow for my before acupuncture visit and then again sunday when we get back in town after the transfer.

wehavehope- Any AF yet?? I hope she comes to visit you very very soon!!!

pumpkin-Despite the delay its best to enjoy all the time you can with DH. Hopefully AF comes quickly for you and you can get things going.

margi/Rio- Thanks for stopping by. I am feeling better today even though its still uncomfortable...im sure it will keep getting better. Hope your pregnancies are going well.

nancy- Welcome to the board. Sounds like things are going great so far since you are already at 9 wks. Best of luck with this one!

Bliss- Just glad I have moved to the next part of the waiting process. How are things progressing with you? Saw you are doing a sonohystergram. They arent too bad. I had one that wasnt too bad just a little uncomfortable and wierd when all the fluid rushes back out. Good luck with it.

indigo- Hows the 2ww going?? Did the essay keep you distracted at all? And are you going to cave and poas?

hi ladies hope u are all well im from the winter forum but been stalking for a while
im on the 2weeks wait i had my et last thursday which they put 4 back inside and now im on day 8 on day 3-5 i had mild cramping like my period was comingwhich was told could be the progeston , but nothing since i have sore breasts but been sore since ive been injecting,this is my 1st ivf try as hubby as a sperm problem i dont know wat i am expecting really im that use to having negatives im not gettin my hopes up sort ov tryin stay neutral... hope i have a good chance of this working ..any advise is good thanks ladies

Blair congrats. I think you had a great outcome. I had 14 eggs w/only 8 mature, and 7 fert and I got knocked up. Know we hear this all the time but "it only takes one". I read somewhere to have sex the night b/f the ET (which I did-I know TMI), and to eat some pineapple rind a couple days leading up to ET cuz the both help "season" the uterus if you will. I didn't find out til the morning of my 3dt that we were going to blast so I'm KMFX for you.

Bliss-You must be so relieved to finally have some kinda game plan-even if it changes again. No matter how we plan destiny still decides when and how. Ain't that the truth. I did that sono-thingie a couple of times and I remember feeling a lot of cramping like a strong period, so I highly recommend to pop a coup of advils right b/f. That should help a lot.

Idigo-Opiate allergy? Seriously? Are you talkin' Percocet and Codine?? Me too. I just usually have to deal with the pain cuz they always say that's all they have aside from 600 mg Ibuprofine and stuff. I didn't now they had a blocker. Hmn...

Mamaboo-Those are some impressive betas girlie. Super happy for you. Can you say multiples? Good luck with the u/s.

We/Pumpkin-doin' the AF dance for you both. Haven't done if b/f so maybe you'll get all that energy.

AFM-I got seriously rear ended on the Turnpike last night. I could feel the blow of the impact right in my uterus since the guy was going about 70 when he nailed us. I didn't go to ER, (had enough of that for one pregnancy thank you) and I was so worried all night. I had OB appt today anyways and all's good just sore.

EOE-I'm thinking of you and sending you all the hope and love in the world.

Crissy- was the sex per doctors orders? I'm asking because my directions said no sex after trigger shot until the pregnancy test. I know TMI but we usually did it daily which sucks when you have to abstain for 2+ weeks. If you were told to do it the night before transfer I may have to go with it- let me know. At this point though I'm so uncomfortable that I don't know that we could do it.

Blair-Not specifically my doc, but I read in several places that many girls' RE's recommended it b/c it prepares the uterus. We thought we were going on day three so we did it on day2 post ER, but didn't repeat on day 4. I think the thing with not doing it after trigger is b/c of tampering with the semen in reserve at that point not for anything else, but I could be wrong. Google sex between ER and ET and see what you find. I saw many of the ones who did (barring chromosomal abnormalities and other extenuating issues) got BFP's. My thinking was if it wasn't going to hurt, why not? I was also thinking about the fact that I was prohibited from having sex til week 12 of pregnancy so that was probably going to be my last opportunity (a lil' positive thinking). My husband is now counting the days and weeks with accurate precision til we can do it again. I was also careful that he didn't "EJ" either. With all the eggs gone anyways there was less of a risk of getting preggo, but I was prepared to take that risk. Some RE's wash the vaginal canal right b/f ET and the catheter doesn't come into contact with the vaginal canal either bcuz they use the speculum to hold you open. Also, you should be on some sort of antibiotics around ET anyways. Again, I went with it.

When I did a fresh cycle I was told no sex because your ovaries are so swollen from the stimming that they could twist on themselves and cause big problems. It wouldn't be the same for an FET. However, I was told no sex after ET....after positive betas told no sex.....don't know when we'll ever be allowed at this point.

I was on another thread and thought I would stop on over here I have been stalking these post for a while. I so far have a success story- We just found out that I am pregnant. My 1st beta was 248 , my progesterone is a little low so I am really nervous but I talked to my Dr. today and he said that I just needed to take another dose of progesterone. Fingers crossed. Its amazing that the worry goes from not being pregnant to worrying about MC. Baby dust to all..

Hi all,

Here we are at day 10 of the 2ww. Going for bloodwork on Monday... I'm not lacking in PMA but I just don't feel preggo...nothing..zip..zilch... In fact I feel many of the regular PMS stuff. I'm feeling the need to be realistic and have prepared DH for this.. We have one more embryo left after this... Funny thing is that about 3.5 yrs ago, we were at the RE's office to discuss our "options" as we had secondary unexplained infertility... At that time we weren't keen on IVF for a whole bunch of reasons. Then, sitting there, (..ok.. you're going to think I'm crazy..), but this voice within me said "Wait my girl...wait until May". So we did.. Every time the month of May rolled by or September (as this would produce a May baby) I kept thinking "this is it"... Sadly this never happened.. Then when we resorted to IVF as a last ditch effort, I got pregnant last August on our first cycle with a May due date... I couldn't believe it...It was real! Sadly I had a "missed abortion" and found out at 10weeks that the baby hadn't progressed.. We were devastated (I know that I don't have to explain that...). So I feel that we are nearing the end of our fertility journey. (I turn 40 in July and don't plan on doing another cycle). I'm hoping that our last embryo will be viable and we could get a BFP in May (assuming that I can get on the list for another FET)... I really and truly feel that this voice was real... I am a person of faith and really think that it came from above... My 6 yr old (conceived naturally) said recently "I can't wait for us to have a baby... I just pray that we can give him that...

I just love the sharing that happens on this board.... I eagerly check to see what's happened to whom! And for those that got BFN's or worse, I just wish that I could "do" something, ie. bring over some flowers or muffins or a hot meal...

This is such a hard and often lonely journey...you guys make it easier...
