I imagine its slim (but possible) chance to get a positive on second beta (at day after initial beta is negative. But, wondering if any one knows the actual probability? I have a beloved friend who is in that dark place now.
Thanks.

Late implantation would be the only possible chance - but a very late implantation does not bode well for a healthy embryo. I've never, ever heard of anyone getting a beta on 14dpo that was negative and then getting one that was positive. Sorry.... I suspect it's best that your friend work on acceptance of what is instead of clinging onto what isn't.

Thanks for the response. She's not clinging, she's grieving, as would be expected. I was just trying to be in that impossibly hopeful place on her behalf. The test was just 8 days past transfer and I've heard that 9 and 11 are usual.

The answer depends on what was transferred.
If that was a day 3 transfer, then there is nothing wrong with a positive showing up on day 8. Negatives won't be definitive for about another week.
If it was a blast transfer, then day 8 is just a little on the late side. More typical is a day or two earlier. Negatives won't be definitive for about 5 days.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
