6/21 Found out we are having a BOY!
Rio- We are actually going to Monterey, Carmel, Napa Valley, and San Francisco. It will be nice to take a vacation since we havent been on one since last April when we were in the middle of IUIs. We went to Italy last april and ended up getting stuck because of the volcano that erupted in Iceland...a nice man from the airport took us home with him (he is in the US navy and was based with his wife and 2 kids in Italy). Anyway- long story short they are based in Monterey for the time being so we thought we would take our first trip to cali to go and visit with them.
Oh this 2ww just started and it already seems to be dragging on. The fact that we leave for vacation in the morning and I still havent started packing because I was on bed rest. And Im back at work today which adds to the stress a little. Im already anxious about seeing my BFP even though I really do think it worked this time. I am a POAS -a-holic and want to know when I should really start testing. Since I know that the trigger is gone any positives will be the real thing. When did everyone else get their positive?
Blair-got my BFP 6dp5dt and it was barely noticeable, and I thought it was a BFN. I would do it 7dpt instead, and if u use FRER test don't be afraid to pry that sucker open!
As for me not sticking around for ur BFP...wouldn't dream of it. Have fun in Cali. You're lucky to get a diversion.
Crissy- Thanks for the advice. I figure since we are staying with friends sat-mon hopefully it will be easier for me to avoid testing. But dont get me wrong- I am still taking my fair share of pregnancy tests, and even though i usually use the cheapos from the dollar store, its a little too much work to take a cup to the bathroom with those. I think I have a couple generic first response tests and then some clearblue easy digital for closer to the beta. I may just start testing Monday...which would be 6dp5dt and go from there.
Blair: Cheering you on!! The 2ww is rough...I know....I got my BFP at 11dpo (6dp5dt) but my beta, 2 days later, at 13 dpo was fairly high at 240....And on days 12 and 13 I drove myself nuts trying to "compare" lines which didn't appear to be darkening, but clearly my beta was rising. Best of luck!! I hope that you get an "early" BFP to put your mind at ease, but if you don't --don't get discouraged!! Plenty of women don't get to see that second line until beta day or even the day after!!! Hang in there!!! We are cheering you on. Have a wonderful vacation. And keep us POAS addicts posted on your progress!!

Margi- thanks for the well wishes. I'm following your footsteps and heading to cali to make sure I come home with babies stuck in there. I am not testing tomorrow or sunday and am only taking 4 tests with me so next test will be at 6dp5dt. I will definitely keep everyone posted. I'm sure I will either be excited beyond belief with a positive or looking for re-assurance if it ends up negative. Only a few more days and I have a feeling I will be seeing a second line.
Blair: have lots of fun on your vaca. I POAS on 10dp5dt. It was positive, however, according to what my numbers were, it may not have shown as positive 3 days earlier. If you do POAS that early, take it with a grain of salt. A negative may not be a negative.
AFM: waiting my ultrasound on Tuesday. I woke up at 4:22 and lay worrying whether or not things are progressing properly. I have been having a fair amount of MS - but all day long. I do think things are good, but I'm a worrier. Been having issues w/ins not wanting to refill my meds on time. My nurse called & argued w/mail order pharmacy they require I use and told them that if I do not get my meds in time, I will lose this pregnancy....Their reply: oh well. I still haven't gotten it, and needed it two days ago. However, I have gotten some locally that I thought I'd have to pay full price for, but my ins is covering it 2 days worth at a time!!!!!!! Seriously?!? Maybe it will be here Mon or Tues?

Blair - I will be anxiously awaiting your BFP from CA!!! My home state so I figure it only can bring good luck!!! Have fun in CA & hopefully you will be able to relax and enjoy some down time
Mamaboo - That is so frustrating, it is amazing to me all the relaxed attitude that some of the people in this process have! I hope you get your meds & I will be waiting on pins & needles to hear about your US
Crissy - Congrats on moving on! I can't wait to hear all about it, check in once in a while & let us know how you are doing
AFM - Had WTF appt today.....RE has little to say not sure why this keeps happening I have had every test in the book and as far as everything is concerned I am perfect (haha) anyways he is giving me next two cycles for 50% off so that was nice & will give me as many deals or whatever he can on meds.....we have appt at CCRM in CO a week from Tuesday to see if they have any other answers so we are just in a holding pattern. He did say he could get me in on the May cycle but we are not ready I think the soonest we will be ready will be July or August I need some fertility free time more importantly my family needs some fertility free me time!
Me: Kt-42 - DH: Louie-50
TTC: 7 years - IUI X 5 - IVF X 2 (1-DE) - FET X 1 - MC x 6
I need the Vivelle dot patches .1 mg. I use six every other day. They are my estrogen support. My ins is driving me nuts w/ it. I was on 2 every other day. However, my protocol raises it after a BFP. It works it's way up to 6 and stays there until 12 weeks. Thankfully, that is now about 5 weeks away.

Mamaboo-Maybe you can start a discussion thread asking if anyone has any left over E Patches. I was hoping you needed PIO cuz I did have some left, but I think that might be a good idea. Maybe someone whose had a successful outcome has some left.
My labs are posted as my signature, if I did it correctly. Had an appt. w/ IVF dr. yesterday. I've been getting my labs drawn at my local hospital lab but they did one yesterday also. It was 653, progesteron was 23.2, hope that's good. They want me to do 1 more progesterone check. I have an appt. w/ their satellite office Wed., which is going to be my new OB. They plan to do an ultrasound. If you're a praying person please say a prayer for us.
Holy cow...can you believe we have over 1200 posts on this board? Just noticed it tonight and I am amazed I have read every single one!
The board has been a little quiet with Blair on vacation and the month of April here in full swing. I have been crazy busy plus I needed to disconnect for a bit for a little fertility free time of my own.
Katie- that sounds like a wonderful plan! Take some time for the fam, explore options, and then decide. Good for you. I am indeed a praying person and have sent a few your way...I will keep sending you love and prayers.
Blair- thinking of you while you are on vacay! Hope your trip is just lovely and you are relaxing prior to BFP.
AFM- interesting day today. After meeting with the two adoption agencies I became very conflicted about my current plan. I am struggling with the decision of moving on from IVF after this cycle if it doesn't work but my heart has been leading me in the direction of adoption. I just think that is what is right for us. After coming to that conclusion, however I became very conflicted over our plan for this next cycle. My RE feels very strongly that we should thaw our four 3day frosties and transfer those, but that plan leaves behind the one 5 day morula we have. I started thinking about how hard it would be to leave that morula out there, but how silly it would be to transfer just that one slow starter. So I called to discuss the possibility of growing our four young ones to blast and transferring what makes it. He talked to the embryologist and they both feel that since this may be my last hoorah, I should definitely transfer the younger embies since no incubator or culture compares to me. As a result, they have offered to transfer the morula on a natural FET cycle at a later point. I was estatic! I know that the morula on a natural cycle has a very low rate of success...but I love that idea so much more than just discarding it or keeping it out in cryospace. So it looks like I might have two cycles left! Of course it depends on the morula surviving the thaw, but at least then I would know we gave it our all with our embies prior to moving on to plan B. So thrilled that they offered the option!
