Well, Thurs I had some spotting so my RE moved my appt for ultrasound today. Fortunately he said the pregnancy looks great and I got to hear the heartbeat. We just cross fingers that all will be well.
CHarr: wow, your son's vocabulary is awesome!!! As for finger foods, my little one just puts them in his mouth, bites into them then takes them off his mouth. I am trying to get him into PT for walking.
Sorry about the spotting Nancy, but congrats on the hearbeat. Yea!
We saw a beautiful heartbeat today...though not without drama. I went into the office and started to take off my pants, but the nurse said the perinatologist was doing a stomach ultrasound, not a vaginal ultrasound...so he did the stomach ultrasound and then asked me to go empty my bladdar so he could do a vaginal ultrasound...it was the longest trek ever to the bathroom and back. I literally ran back to the office and almost pulled my pants down in the hospital hall I was so anxious! He did the vaginal ultrasound and there was the little heartbeat...at just over 6 weeks The doctor said "I was freaking out for a minute there..." not what you want to hear... and dude, you think YOU were freaking out!
I haven't seen heartbeat(s) yet because I'm still super early - but I had my u/s on Thursday at 5w2d and there are TWO gestational sacs, each with a yolk sac. OMG! Twins! Again! OMG!
8 IVF+6 FET=6 BFN+8 BFP =
-b/g twins 22w (12.09)
-mc 10w (9.10)
-Micha (7.19-24.11) & Asaf (7.19-28.11) born at 24w

Hi all. Sadly, my journey has come to an end. At 7.5 weeks, we lost the heartbeat. It just was not meant to be. Now I need to take all sorts of meds to officially end the pregnancy - not fun, but I opted not to do a D&C this time (have twice before). Good luck to everyone. Nancy, sorry to miss #2 with you. Good luck!
I am soo sorry for your loss. Nothing I say will ease your pain right now and I will refrain from making any cliche comments that do more irritating than comforting. Just know that I am thinking of you and your family. Hang in there!
Also, please do keep in touch. I would love for you, CHarr and myself to keep in touch to update each other on the progress of our little ones.
With many many hugs,
Nancy
Lerorira: I read on one of your posts that you were at the hospital but that your babies are doing just fine. Hang in there!!!
Trying: please do keep in touch with us. I wish you all the best.
I am trying to get my son back into PT for his walking but having insurance hurdles. I think by the time that is sorted out, he will start walking on his own. How is your daughter's PT going and OT going? Is it helping her with the walking so far?
I read that a lot of kids don't walk until 18 or even 20 months so that kind of reassures me a bit but you still can't stop worrying.
CHARR: how is your peanut doing? Are you working full time? On days that I go to work I still feel guilty that I should be there to stimulate him as much as I can. Oh well. I guess that's every working mom's dilema. Does he have his molar teeth yet. I just saw my son's first molars errupting today. Hopefully that will help him eat chunkier food.
I am going in for an ultrasound on Friday. Just keeping fingers crossed...
I went for the ultrasound on Friday and so far so good, thanks God!
My little one is sick and I have hardly the time to rest or to even think about this pregnancy.
Hope you're all doing well.
Nancy
Nancy - That's great news on the ultrasound. Congratulations! Sorry your little boy is sick. It's so hard when they're not feeling well. No, I've still not gone back to work yet. I am, however, going back to just a couple of hours a day in mid-April. I am able to work from home and thus found someone to just come to our home and watch him for those couple of hours. Our son's first molars are just coming through now as well. How's the PT been coming along for your son's walking? Take care!
sorry I am been MIA. My son was sick last week (1st major illness). He had fever, heavy congestion, mild ear infection and the molars coming out at the same time. Needless to say we're exhausted.
He is to start PT in a couple of weeks. I feel he's almost there but not having the confidence to walk on his own yet.
It's great you're working from home. What type of work do you do? I am working about 3 days a week for now and I think will continue with that for another 2 years if there is a #2 .
I have another u/s on MOnday and just hoping things are still status quo.
How is your son? What types of acitivities does he engage in and does he get to interact with kids his age?
I went to see my RE one last time on Monday and everything looked good. I am now treansferred to my OB. TOday I had very mild spotting while wiping myself. Hopefully nothing since it stopped. I have my OB appointment on Monday. Hope all will be well.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi, Nancy. Sounds like the same thing our son had recently and with molars coming in also. Not fun!
I do live TV closed captioning which enables me to work from home from anywhere.
Our son is doing great. It's so amazing how fast he's growing up! He's getting really good at using his spoon and fork which has helped him be interested in eating more things. Last night when we were out to dinner, he was eating pasta with meat sauce using his spoon. His vocabulary continues to grow. I take him to various activities like storytimes at bookstores, toddler time at the botanic center, playdates with friends, etc. so he gets time to spend with other children. When we're at home, right now his favorite thing is to be outdoors. He pushes his play lawn mower around, pulls his little wagon, plays with his gardening tools, etc. I think he'd be outside 24/7 if we'd let him!
Glad to hear your pregnancy is going well and you're being transferred to your OB. Let me know how your appt. today goes.
