I luckily got pregnant on my own in December but unfortunately miscarried at 19 weeks, 2 weeks ago. The baby had several heart problems and a single umbilical artery to name a few. It was discovered that the baby had down syndrome as well. I have some frozen embryos from my last IVF. They were frozen on day 3.
Questions:
1. Can PGD be done on these embryos?

2. Do you think a D&C helps implantation rates? I did have a D&C with my son and had to have a D&E 2 weeks ago. Just was curious.

Up to your clinic, but generally, yes.

I don't know. I have seen some speculation that it does, but I have not seen the research to support it.

Thanks Karen! We are/were devastated. It is so hard, even though it was a natural pregnancy. We are trying to grieve and move on....I am still stalking the other board so I will see your progress!

it must have been such a shock to lose a baby that far into pregnancy. i can only imagine how devastating it would be. again, lots of healing hugs to you *
