I just had a failed FET (beta was 0 on 04/7) and went for my 3-day blood work on 04/12.
My FSH was 11.5 and my estradiol was 179.
Does this look like DOR?
My first cycle in March 2009 I only produced 7 mature eggs, 4 fertilized (with ICSI), one arrested, one was frozen and two were transferred - BFN. Egg/embryo quality was poor.
Second cycle in July 2009 I did a flare protocol with no BCP and my meds were upped (though only to 225 of Puregon). Again I produced 7 mature eggs, 4 fertilized (with ICSI), one arrested, one was frozen and two were transferred - BFP. Egg/embryo quality was better. DS was born one year ago!!
Is it possible the higher does of meds caused the quality to improve or could it have been the acupuncture, Chinese herbs and was less stress in my life at the time, or both? (Or neither)
Should the higher dose of meds have made more eggs, or would it just affect quality?
I am not scheduled to go for an AFC for another month, but if I do a fresh cycle again it would have to be in July or August. If I am DOR or even borderline, I'd like to maybe try DHEA and I'd rather be on it for the recommended amount of time before cycling, but I can't cycle in September - it's way too stressful of a time at my job. Should I contact my RE and ask to have an AFC earlier? Or should I repeat the blood work next month? Would the Estrace I took for my FET affect my numbers?
I really am clueless about what all these numbers mean but being out of pocket, this is my last chance. I know I already have a wonderful son, whom I love to bits and pieces, but I always dreamed of having 2 or 3 kids.
