Things didn't quite go as we hoped today. We lost our little Claire. She passed away about a week ago from the looks of things. I knew when I plugged in the numbers from her measurements, that it wasn't looking good for her. I just wish I had a Perio that cared enough to tell me really what to expect. I just had to tell my kids, and they are so very hurt. After losing their brother a year ago, and celebrating his 1st birthday on Monday...now this. I can't believe we are going through this. The good news in all of this...My little Miss Marlo is doing well. Her growth is right on track, and she seems strong. This new Perio I saw today, doesn't anticipate any problems with her. I am trying to remain positive that she will be okay. She is absolutely beautiful. Please keep my family in your prayers...this has been a really tough week. Ready to get off this stupid roller coaster.

Sorry I have been out of the loop - I have tried to keep up reading but no time to post - busy work week, long weekend at the in-laws and then a day trip to get my NT scan done. More on that later. First personals-

AnnasHope - I hope your 10 year old is doing better - they bounce back pretty quick at that age. I loved your picture. You are in my prayers for good paps results - I am sorry you have to have this additional stress, but I am sure all will be well.

BabyBlu/Stephanie - I am so glad your glucose results came out good. I hope the BHs are calming down. Take it easy packing. You are looking great in your picture.

Karin1 - sorry about the bedrest and all the trouble you have been having. Are you still down?

Margi - I am so relieved to hear that you have a good US report. I am sorry that you are dealing with the bleeding and SCH. That would be so scary but the girls on this sight have had lots of good outcomes even with the bleeding. I would take comfort in that and try not to worry too much (easier said than done). Take all the rest you need and take care of those 2 little ones.

Leora - It is so great to hear you having good US results. Yay for 10 weeks. I hope your MS is getting some better - i can't imagine. I have been so thankful not to be sick.

Lou- Glad to hear you are progressing well. Hopefully no more nausea. I think your odds from the combined screen are great - I hope my are that good.

Rio - That is great that your little girl is growing strong and well - love your picture.

Crissylove - YAY for no more shots! welcome to "normal" pregnancy.

Gina55 - Take it easy girl - those babies need to bake. I know it has to be so hard but the reward will be worth it.

Klinger13- You are looking great!! Hope your "levels" are good. Good for you taking matters in you own hands and changing your diet.

Ryann - Great anatomy scan. You look great - I am only 13 weeks and I am getting close to your size. It is good you are growing, after all your problems with weight it is good you are in the right direction.

Mykell1922 - Welcome to the board. I agree with all the ladies - really ease into exercises esp since you were not exercising before. I was very active and the fatigue I have now is really taking a toll. Exercising helps with it but it is hard to get motivated some days.

WaitingKay - I am so sorry you are also dealing with bleeding esp when your husband is away. Just keep having faith, try and stay positive and believe.

Hope is all I have - I will be praying that you are not a carrier - That has to be nerve racking. Good luck on your NT scan.

AFM: I finally had my NT scan on Tuesday. The initial results are good, normal fluid values. They did do bloodwork even though it is not as accurate as with singletons. I will not get those results till the end of the week. My husband had a great day trip down to the city we had to have it done in. May a day of it for us - got to see the babies - twin A was jumping and moving all over the place - they could hardly get the results cause she wouldn't stop moving. twin B slept most of the time but moved towards the end. It is so amazing, they are really looking like babies now. I have been calling Twin B a boy since the first ultrasound and the dr said she was 95% sure he is a boy. They think A is a girl but wouldn't give my a percentage - I have also always called her a girl. How strange if that is true. We then played a round of golf and had a great dinner out. It was so nice to have our time (esp after weekend with his parents).
Otherwise I am doing good. Still getting the headaches but not quite as severe. I also think I am starting with acid reflux, never have had before but feels like lump in my throat. I think this is way early and hopefully doesn't continue.

Hope all are doing well, sorry if I missed some. Man this board moves so fast - can't hardly miss a day. But that does make it fun. It is great having all your advise, knowledge and support.

Mellow-What awful awful news about little Claire. I will keep my fingers crossed for little Marlo. This can be such a cruel and painful process that we put ourselves through.

Leora-My heart rate was in the 70s pre-pregnancy and easily reached the high 90s by the second trimester. My OB said that my body was working overtime with twins. It was perfectly normal. By the third trimester you might even find yourself short of breath just from talking. And yes, I did think about night nurses a few nights ago when my son was having one of his 1 am meltdowns. However, we are hoping it will get better soon.

Jamila20-How are you doing these days? How is the little one?

JustLikeHannah-And where are you? How are your twins doing?

Lou-I'm so jealous of your ability to continue exercising (sounds like you are a huge tennis fan. So am I, although I'm much better at watching the pros than I am playing. I'm more of a squash player). I was so sick during the first trimester, I could barely get myself to work each day. Pre-pregnancy, my workouts were pretty hardcore and to have to stop was really disappointing for me. I can only hope I get the all-clear from my OB to get back to the gym before the month is over.

mellow - I am so so so sorry. I know that there are no words I can say that can make even one tiny bit of difference. Try seeking out other women who have lost a baby in a multiple birth (there is an organization called CLIMB - Center for Loss in Multiple Birth http://www.climb-support.org/). You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope Marlo continues to thrive.

easley - welcome! I remember you from your cycle and miscarriage a few months ago. Congrats on another BFP. It' s so hard when we go through so much to get pregnant but then lose the baby (or babies, in your case). I hope this bean is a sticky one and sticks around until November/December! Welcome to the preggo club!

Sonya - looking good! All of y'all ladies are starting to get really big and pregnant! I hope I start to also!

Kjm - How far along where you when you did your NT? Im' glad the results were good! Mine is scheduled for next Friday. I should be 11w3d then. Last time, I had the NT scheduled for around 13 weeks, but I hope 11w3d is still good!

Gina - just stay home on bedrest for another few weeks. I know it's hard! I'm really not looking forward to bedrest time (even though I expect it!). Try to stay occupied. Invite friends over to your bedroom - even if things are a mess!

Ryann - also looking good! are you feeling them move on a regular basis yet? That was always a super weird part for me the first time I was pregnant.

AFM - Everything's fine. I had a routine OB appt today. The HG is getting really bad. Apparently, the meds that the ER gave me (Pramin, aka metoclopramide hydrochloride, aka Reglan in the USA) is not given when women are also taking anti-depressants, since they counteract. So now I'm waiting for the pharmacy to order me Diclectin - which is a drug that combines B6 and doxylamine. I hope it helps. For some reason, doctors here (in Israel) are really against prescribing Zofran - which is super common in the USA. I'm not sure why. Other women with HG here in Israel say that either they beg their doctors for it, or get a friend/parent in the USA to get some and mail it. For now, I'll try the Diclectin and see if it helps.

The problem is that my OB is a super-high-risk doctor, because I lost my last set of twins and I'm pregnant with twins again. He is super concerned about getting me through the second trimester, but not really intersted in my first trimester symptoms. I think he doesn't understand how serious this is. I lost about 2 kilo (4.5 lbs) in a week -- that's quite serious!

Also - I'm doing the NT scan - appt is next Friday (I'll be 11w3d). We always debate doing these scans -- but honestly, if we find there is a problem with one twin, we will reduce so that the second twin has a better chance. Would we have done that without a history of PTL with twin? Maybe, maybe not. I really hope both babies are healthy, but if one has a problem, I want the other to have the best possible chance.
