Inspiration for Twin Mummies-to-be

Post by Jules R »

Hi All!

I've just had some exciting news from my childminder. Her stepdaughter had her IVF twins yesterday, the day before her due date. She's had a boy and a girl and they weighed 8lb 10oz and 7lb 1oz!!! I'm looking forward to seeing her (not so) tiny twins in the next few days; I've forgotten what baby twins look like!

Now I'm challenging some of you to go full-term and have huge twins like that - I'm certain that Tracey's going to do it!

After only just finding out I am expecting twins I was excited until I realised I had to give birth to two in quick succession!!
Thinking they may be that big is scary. Plenty of time to get used it though.

even though my two were little, at 32 weeks my middle was 54inches, as for the hot weather, I found sitting with my feet in cold water helped.

Jules - I have forgotten how far were your when you had yours?

Thank goodness I was pregnant over the winter and only had to contend with morning sickness during the summer heat. I don't envy you Tracey, but you WILL get to 40 weeks!

I got to 39 weeks, Mags, before I had my elective caesarean so I think we'd have got to 40 weeks if I'd been able to have a natural delivery. I was reading on another site this morning a post from a lady who had her twins this morning ... at home, even though Twin 1 was breech - rather her than me! And there must be something in the water because her 'little' boy was 8lb 14oz. I'm so glad that my two were 6 pounders!

Wow - That sounds like the record weights for twins!!! My friend just had a 10 pound baby boy on June 9. I am hoping that my twins in total will weigh ten pounds...Now that I hear the recent weights, I am going for bigger babies...more protein for the girls!!!!

Thanks for the inspiration...

Lovely to see you and doing so well - 54 inches - off to measure!!!

Jules - will email you later in response to the email I sent you but need food and a sleep! I would be happy with 6lb upwards to be honest. Not sure in this heat and my tiny frame I can go to 40 weeks and 8lb a piece - what are you trying to do to me :?:

Shellie - don't worry you have loads of time as you say to get used to it and then worry!!!!

Denise - how are you?

Love
